The park overall has great customer service but the food options are lack luster. Steer clear of the Pizza at the magic show. We had four family's at the show spending a few hundred on food and we literally could not eat the pizza and threw six large pizzas away and had to go eat after the show. be very careful! My 20 year old son, and nine and 11 year-old grandsons went on the stunt pilot roller coaster. They do not have seatbelts. They have bars that come over your head. My nine-year-old grandson pulled the bar over his head but it never connected. The two young employees working The roller coaster did not even check him or any of the riders to make sure they were secure. A Mother, waiting to catch the next ride noticed he was not buckled in properly and yelled for them to stop the roller coaster. The roller coaster had started to slowly descend. When everybody started shouting please stop the roller coaster. It was successfully stopped before the ride turned into a fatality. I reached out via email to the "Ride Manager" per Silverwood protoco. within 24 hours a customer service representative thanked me for my concern. 5 days later and I still have not heard from a manager. It is a cute, fun little park but please be careful on the rides and make sure you and your kids are secure. Silverwood is a 2-fer with a mostly dry side with amusement rides and carnival games, and a fully wet side, called Boulder Beach, with wave pools, water slides, and splash pads. The "dry" side has a few options to get wet, including a log ride, a rapids ride, and a water bumper boats ride. Beware of the bumper boats ride, because although it may look like you'll only have a tiny stream of water that could be shot at you from other boats, at the waterfront there are water cannons where friends or really cruel strangers can douse you with water and soak you to the bone. I didn't entirely mind, but these jerks sprayed a 10 year old girl and had her dripping wet on a relatively cool day (73F) that had her shivering and distraught. There are carnival rides for all ages, from kiddy to adrenaline seeking teenagers/adult. You've paid your admission and the only cost to riding the rides is the time you'll wait in line. In some cases on the kiddy/kid rides, your kid can ride, exit, and get back in line to run it again. The 2 wooden roller coasters are pretty fun and exhilarating. Unlike some other wooden roller coasters I've been on, these are fairly smooth. My favorite by a country mile was Tremors. It has big drops and several that go underground in a tunnel. Over in Boulder Beach you have: - 2 wave pools that run for 10 minutes, and then give you a 5 minute break. - 2 river raft rides, of which our favorite was Ricochet Rapids. - A water slide with 3 different experiences, so go enough times to try them all out. - Another water slide where you ride down on a figure-8 inner tube. On this one, there are two lines: one to get a tube provided for that ride, and another to get on the ride. If you rent tubes, you can bring your own and skip the first line. - The other reason to rent tubes is for the lazy river, which also has house-provided tubes which are hard to get. At $10 per tube per day, this is a bit pricy but if you wish to ride the lazy river and previous ride I mentioned, this may push you over the edge. There is a tube check-in/out area so you don't have to be responsible for your tube all day. - A water slide where you ride face first, stomach down on a provided matt with grab handles. This one is meant to be a race, and at the end your time is displayed on a board so you can gloat against your lighter friends who don't reach as high of a top speed. - A kiddie play area with splash pads, a big bucket that dumps water, and a play structure with mini water slides. This would be ideal for 3-7 year olds IMHO. For Boulder Beach, there are limited beach chairs available, and other reviewers are right that if you don't show up early, you aren't going to snag chairs for your group. Who wants to sit on a chair the whole time when rides need riders anyway? You can instead cop a squat on a grassy hill with your towels, and that is just as good. Our area had shade trees too, which made it more comfortable. I even took a 20 minute snooze after lunch, which was nice. After two days here, these are my suggested hacks: - With an entrée, you can get a discount on a sports bottle which gets you free refills all day long at any structure that serves food and drinks. Get this and fill it up frequently. Share it with a family member or two. Get one early and get your money's worth. - I didn't read this anywhere ahead of time, but lockers give you all day in-and-out access with your own PIN. Spend the $10 for a locker to keep your valuables safe and dry. - The all-you-can-eat BBQ is a great option for food. Go early, eat, get your hand stamped. Go back later. Then go again! It was $14 for adults and $7 for kids 7 and under. This is not an ideal option if you spend the day at Boulder Beach though. You can get a 2-cookie snack in the line too. Drinks here were in small cups, but you can still go back to get more. The BBQ chicken was my favorite meat, but they also had pulled pork and hot dogs. The corn was really good, and already dipped in butter. Lots of other sides here. - I didn't mention it, but the magic show was really good. It lasted 30 minutes, but if you aren't there early, you may not get a seat. 20 minutes early wasn't enough on our first try. They sell pizza inside, and for diners there are tables nearer to the stage. I'd suggest going an hour early, sit and order pizza. Eat, drink, relax. When the show starts, you'll have the best view. Your other option is to go at least 30 minutes early, sit on wooden benches in the back, and wait it out. The huge pretzel and cheese was not at all bad. Your sports bottle can get refilled here too. read more

The park is family friendly, staff were personable and always smiling with exceptional customer service. Food was very good and affordable for a big family. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Having a large family, including teens and a toddler, means we're always looking for fun things to do for a lesser cost. If you're looking for an alternative to Disney that is budget friendly, this is it! Short lines, inexpensive eats and souvenirs, plenty of rides, and friendly employees are just some of the perks. The grounds are meticulously maintained and friendly music greets you as you walk through the park. The only drawback is that most of the rides are not fat friendly. We get the discount seasonal pass they offer in the winter every year to Silverwood for the summer and it's worth every penny. Even though i'm from Spokane driving 1 hour is worth it. I prefer the rides over the waterpark, they just built a new coaster called Stunt Pilot and it's suuuuper fast!! I was thinking of recording myself with my phone on the ride but when I got in line and saw how fast it was I was like uhh nope They got a separate area with tons of rides for the kids and a play area jungle gym. For people that don't like rides its all goood because they got lots of mini games like bumper cars and even an arcade with retro games like super mario bros. The waterpark gets a little crazy during the summer with lots of people there, expect to run like crazy for your spot to sit when they first open up. Once you've claimed your area with chairs and a table your good, just lock up your expensive items inside the lockers they provide. You can also pay 300$ for a cabana for the day and dont have to run like a freak to get a good seating area for your family. The cabanas sell out fast! You need to book them months ahead or good luck getting one available unless someone cancels. My favorite area in the waterpark is the lazy river, its nice to chill and relax in. They also got a few water slides and a giant kids slide area of course. They got 2 tube slides that you can go down with the family and they dont bug you about water shoes on those but on the normal slides they make you take them off which is annoying but understandable. I recommend a waterproof phone case if you plan on swimming so you can take picture and videos, unless you got a cabana it gets annoying running back to lockers to take your phone out to check text messages etc. The lockers are by the front door and not close to the pool so you will be walking alot. If you plan on wearing swim shoes you better buy your own because I paid 20$ for a pair from the gift shop and the soles broke in 10 minutes. I also recommend buying a UV umbrella because it gets hooot! and it rains alot as well. The weather gets weird around spring and fall because it will be hot for 30 minutes and then start raining randomly so be prepared and bring a sweater. They do sell cool silverwood theme sweaters at the gift shop. The security can be weird with you sometimes be prepared to get asked if your a terrorist or have bombs in your bags when you get checked. They poke all your bags inside with drum sticks like some rock band Don't show up when they first open because you will be waiting in line to get though security for 30 minutes at least, either show up an hour after opening or be the first ones there They also hate glass bottles so bring plastic or thermos bottle is better to keep drinks cold Another thing to pack for the day would be lots of snacks, the food quality is the only major downside I can think of the place other then the crowds. Not sure if it's just an Idaho thing but I literally been to every place to eat there and it's a meh for me. I pack lots of medjool dates and coconut water every time I go in my backpack. I recently had the idea of making a 1000 calorie smoothie then keeping it in a 64oz thermos that way it stays cold all day and I can sip on it whenever I am hungry. One last thing, they do have a disability "fast pass" if you wanna call it that. Like Disneyland used to have where you don't have to wait too long in line for rides. Keep walking straight after you see train tracks, instead of turning left or right for either park and its inside a small building where they also provide wheelchairs because there is alot of walking. You have to walk up the exit of the ride you want to go on and hand them the small card you get, they will keep track what time you showed up and give you an estimate time to show up. When the time arrives you show up to the exit again and hand the workers the card and they will let you on the ride right away. Tremors and Timber Terror can literally have a 2 hour wait on busy summer days and we saved about 1 and half hours each ride using the disability method for each ride it was insane. Anyways this place is alot of fun, make sure to pack and prepare in advance and you will have a great time! read more

I've been here four times now and am ready to pass judgement. THE GOOD: Park is clean and the vibe is upbeat. They do a great job sticking to the frontier theme and little extras like the theatrical train ride make truly unique memories. The park is small enough to be handled in one day, but big enough to avoid repetition. The toddler area has a ton of great rides with short lines. There are more than a few quiet, park-like spaces in the park to sit and enjoy a picnic or just relax for awhile. Bathrooms are mostly well-spaced and plentiful. Admission prices are modest when purchased at a discount. At full retail, I would say that a day here is not a "good value" however. THE BAD: Lines for the rides are one thing. Annoying, but completely understandable. Lines for perfunctory service is something else. For example, we waited in a 30 minute line just to get into the park. After that, I waited 20 minutes to get a stroller. Later, we waited another full 30 minutes for an ice cream cone. We packed in a dinner so we didn't have to wait yet again for meal service. In the case of the ice cream, they were half-staffed. Opening up the other counter would have made sense. At the same time, there's 3 park staff standing around waiting for the next dummy to pay $5 for the privilege of lofting basketballs through a small hoop. Literally just standing there. At the grocery store they can throw under-utilized staff on the lanes in a rush, why not here? THE UGLY 11am opening! Geeze that's late. With a 9pm close that's a grand total of 10 possible hours in the park. Chip away 2 of those hours just waiting in line for basic services. Another 2 just walking from place to place. 1 for eating and bathrooming. 3-4 for standing in ride lines. You're left with just a measly couple hours at best to yell at your kids and suffer various minor to moderate iterations of lower back discomfort and/or swamp butt. At best! Most likely you'll want to leave early to make that long drive home and get the kids to bed at a reasonable hour. In that case you'll need to get the magician to open a three hour time bubble for you ($28) sending you back long enough to actually ride a few rides. Otherwise you might as well just stay home and push the kids around in a wheelbarrow. read more

I love this park. It's country-western theme and water park owned by their mascot Garfield. Their music corresponds really well with the park. I buy their season pass in November and go every other weekend (Friday or Saturday). On the train ride you got Marshall Jack, the robbers and everyone else will connect with you to their stories. Magic Show is also must-see with Nick and Amanda Norton. I usually go during the summer months June, July, August and sometimes on Labor Day in September. Since their ride hours are 11am-10pm and Waterpark hours are 11am-7pm on the weekends they usually open their Main Street entrance gates around 10am. I'm also trying to build this park on computer game called Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum. All the foods and drinks here are pretty good and tasty for your taste buds. What an awesome amusement park this is. Not only does a ticket get you into Silverwood amusement park but it also gets you entrance into the water park Boulder Beach as well which is nice because most places you pay separate entrance fee to the water park. This park has a little bit of everything. Awesome roller coasters, water rides, great dining places, treat stands along the way, kiddie rides, carnival rides, train ride, magic show and so much more. I'm so glad my brother talked me into getting a season pass because it's so convenient to just go there for a few hours whenever I want and not have to spend the whole day. The roller coasters are good and the Aftershock is intense. It's been a long time since I've screamed that loud!! It was fun but for me a one time a year kind of ride for this old person, lol. The train ride is fun and relaxing and they incorporate a train robbery while you're on it and have a stunt show half way through which is kind of fun. The magic show is decent. I thought it would be kind of cheesy but it's actually not bad and the show inside a pizza restaurant so you can eat while you watch as well. The carnival games are cool but I was really impressed by the quality of the prizes. Not your typical cheap fair toys. My niece one a teddy bear and that thing was so soft and cuddly that I now want one when I go back!! There is a restaurant called Lindys that will give you 10% off your meal if you have a season pass which is nice and he food is great with huge portions. While you're here definitely do NOT miss the ice cream shop that serves you a "one scoop" for under $5. You get up to 3 flavor choices but I swear they put about a half gallon of ice-cream in your waffle bowl. It's definitely a place you don't want to miss while you're there. They also have an AUCE BBQ restaurant that I was told is very good as well. So many things to do and see. Since I carry a season pass I go during the weekday when it's not as busy which is really great! The lines aren't too bad and I can get in and out and that's a plus for me! The last time I was there I made it all the way around the water park and that was so much fun. They have a lazy river that floats around he center of the water park (tubes included), two wave pools, several different water slides, a kids water park area, several walk up eatery places and a swim up floating bar (by the lazy river) that also have a large locker area but lockers are about $10. I haven't had a problem with anyone messing with my stuff while I was there but they are available if needed. There are lounging chairs throughout but also grassy hill areas that are used if those are taken. This is a really good water park, not to big and not to small, just enough to keep you busy and content. I do recommend Silverwood to anyone who is living around the area or passing through and wanting to check it out. It's a lot of fun and worth the money. Do invest in a season pass though. read more

Not a real busy day when we were here. Silverwood can barely handle concessions for the park. Lines not even that long take 30-45 min just to get a drink at a stand where there are maybe 5 people in front of you. Beyond inefficient and they could give a f&$! If you come here dont set your expectations too high. Seems like a dying park with the level of customer service they provide. Final verdict: Best thing: Grounds are beautiful and the park is cleaner than most. Aftershock is a killer coaster! Needs improvement: Concessions, holy f@$! Get it together. Heads up if you're covid cautious NO ONE wears masks, we're vaccinated so we felt ok going but we wore masks everywhere so we were mentally prepared for it. Upon arriving right off the bat we got to the bag check and the lady asked us where we were from and us thinking she was being nice and just chatting with us we answered Spokane and she looks at our masks, makes a disgusted face and says to us "there should be a law against masks"... we were absolutely speechless because we just couldn't understand the problem with US wearing the masks, we respect everyone's choice to wear masks or not but we choose to wear them because it doesn't kill us or anyone else that we wear them. That being said we did have everyone staring at us but we could care less because we choose safety over convenience. Besides that I still give the park 3 stars because we had a good time, they still have hand sanitizer everywhere and the new roller coaster was a lot of fun! Will definitely go back if the state gets their act together covid wise. read more

Let me make this clear I love this park but you cant afford to take a family here between the ticket prices and the food costs it is just way too expensive It costs my family of 6 over $200 just in tickets and another $80 in food, and the costs just keep going up each year. Such a fun park though and they really make sure that it has options for the whole family. All the rids are really fun the train is our favorite and they always try to add new things every year! I have only been able to go to the water park once after it first opened but have not been back since. Even though they are expensive they try to do promotions Mom gets in free on Mothers day and Dad on fathers day they also do something for our soldiers and they do a night of the stars for local special needs children I just wish it was more affordable for the every day family read more

The theme park overall is decent I've been coming here since I was real little, but the last few visits the staff working the food stands move EXTREMELY slow. Had a worker continuously kick a broom over and over again in front of many customers and just overall I didn't feel like there was a sense of urgency. Hopefully next visit this improves. read more

My family and I are big fans of Silverwood. We like to tell people that they'll be very surprised how good an amusement park (and water park) there is out there in Northern Idaho ... kind of the middle of nowhere, with all due respect. The rides are good. The prices are low. The food and beverage prices are even quite reasonable. I recommend it to people all the time. There's nowhere anywhere near here (the Pacific Northwest) that comes close. The only things keeping this from a 5-star review are the following: the old, repetitive soundtrack gets on my nerves. I'm not a young man, but when the most recent song on the loop is "867-5309," it might need a re-think. I heard enough Danny and the Juniors to last me for a long time. Second, I think they should open earlier ... why not 10:00, rather than 11:00? Last, the train ride is simply painful. We expected a leisurely ride around the park with maybe some history thrown in, etc., but we got a shrill, grade-school-level sketch about rangers and miners and Sasquatches that went on much, much too long. To be blunt, it was brutal. I can't see how anyone, of any age, would enjoy it, and it's not like you can leave partway through, given that you're on a train somewhere outside of park grounds. Do yourself a favor and skip it! read more

after a few weeks of sending managment my email with no response I am posting public. To whom it may concern, We had our first trip to Silverwood last week August 23 and 24. There were 5 of us. 2 adults a 13,10 and 6 year old. We had high hopes but were very disappointed. The staff we encountered seemed distracted and inattentive throughout the parks and we experienced some frustrating and some alarming things I feel need to be addressed. Minor issue but still feel should be talked about is when we went to the Saloon for lunch and were told it would be an hour long wait for our sandwiches which is not a big deal. We knew it was busy. But it was frustrating to see several people that arrived after us receive their food before us (there were only 5 of us). The biggest concernS are in the lazy river on the corner of the swim up bar there is a lifeguard. My daughter swam down and hit the bottom of the lazy river and came up with her braces stuck in her lip. The lifeguard did not hop in to check or help out so I took my kid out and found the closest security guard to point us in the direction of the first aid area. She radioed in letting them know we were on our way but we were not greeted and had to knock a few times to be let in. When we arrived in the first aid area the young man (maybe 18) looked at my daughters lip still stuck and said well this is above me I will have to contact my supervisor. He did sit her down with a bag of ice but wouldn't touch her to look at the situation otherwise. When the supervisor showed up (maybe 19 years old) he said the same thing about not being able to do anything. He asked where we were from and if she had an orthodontist. I said WA state (6 hours away) and yes. He then let me know that I should make her an apt with the ortho when I get back to get her lip out of her braces because he thought they would do that. He handed me 1 pack of gauze and sent us on our way. There was no concern seen. No offer to actually call medics or something to check on her well being. It was extremely frustrating. So I had to start loading up the family to go find an urgent care in an area we had no idea about and as we were packing up my daughter she ended up releasing her own lip and we stayed to hopefully enjoy the rest of the day. That scenario is frustrating especially with the amount of money my family spent on the 2 days of tickets. It made us feel very unimportant . After that incident the next thing that happened really made me question the lack of urgency for safety in the park. While in the wave pool I was out on one of the lounge chairs and my boyfriend and kids were in the wave pool when they saw a 3 year old boy struggling in the water. The child did not have any parents accompanying them but had a life jacket (I don't agree with that at all) but when the lifeguard was called out he hesitated to do anything at first. Then the father of the child jumped in about the same time as the lifeguard and they were able to pull the young boy out. They were able to get him to respond but there was zero action after that. A security guard came over and chatted for a few minutes and then everything went back to "normal" with near drownings or possible head injury the lack of concern to call the medics to get further diagnosis was negligent on the parks behalf as an establishment.I would think they would want people to leave the same as they came and if that is not the case then they need to provide the support to make sure the families leave feeling like they care. There are no signs or disclaimers about lack of medical staff in the park which I feel is extremely important. Even if there is an EMT or 2 for the amount of people that come to the park on a daily basis would be smart. There are no signs in the wave pool area about swimming at own risk or the rules about young kids having an adult with them at all times even with a life jacket on. I feel a lot of issues could be helped and customers would leave more happy if they knew their children were being taken care of more if an issue arrives while visiting Silverwood. I was not impressed with much of the park and probably will not be returning anytime soon. This goes above a bad yelp review. This is a safety concern and I believe it should be handled. We're here now, overall this place is ok. Each staff member has a different interpretation of the rules when it comes to passes for special needs or handicapped guests which has cost our group over an hour of standing around time. We had 3 employees at one ride, bumper boats, arguing amongst themselves about the rule. In the end, no one understood how it worked and only caused frustration and hurt feelings for our special guest. The rides have extremely long waits (we came on the slowest day, Tuesday) and unlike other theme parks there's nothing to do in the vicinity for the people who aren't riding and just waiting. (older or younger family) think Disneyland and wandering street performers, characters etc. I've seen this at other amusement parks so I'm not sure why they're not trying to do something similar to keep the crowds waiting entertained. Also, ride requirements aren't listed back where the line forms they're only listed up at the entry point of the ride for most of the rides. In most cases the lines extend way past to these informationals. Height reqs are listed in the pamphlets but not weight. Over all somewhat disappointing for what we thought would be the highlight of our Coeur d'Alene trip. I will say Boulder Beach, the waterpark portion, was fantastic. Long lines at the slides but family can find chairs or picnic tables to at least sit down while the kids ride. It's nice to have a home base that all the kids can come and check in with as they move between the different rides. We were all excited to take the last train trip of the night and it wasn't until we were standing in line that we were notified there would be no stunt show and no robbery. That was disappointing as we could have spent more time in the amusement park before it closed. Also, the gals microphone kept cutting in and out... She was rarely audible. In the end if we came back we would do things very differently and get more enjoyment out of the day. However, at the price they want to charge you that's not something we're willing to do on this trip. read more

Silverwood is a treasure for our family. My youngest sister lives with autism and doesn't like to go out often. However, she loves theme parks. Luckily my family lives less than 20 mins away! There is both a theme park and waterpark which is fun on a hot day. It has your typical wave pools, lazy river, and rafting rides. We go here multiple times a summer. Plus it's a great way to get a tan quick. If you forgot a bathing suit or a towel, you can always buy one there too. It cost around 55/60$ I believe for a Bikini bottom and top, but it was really cute. The theme park it's self is what you expect - quick bites like funnel cakes, ice cream, candied apples, popcorn, pizza, Ok BBQ and Mexican food. They have games and prizes. But they have a variety of carnival rides too that you might see at a fair. There are also several roller coasters. They are kind of hard on the body. The wooden one I always joke how my brain feels rattled and the green one is scary to me! Haha! But it's all in good fun. And there are the big drop rides and spinning swing. Then there are smaller rides for the little kiddos too. You get the best of both worlds at Silverwood. What I would like to mention is a big thank you to the policies in place and staff who work with the disabled. I've seen both other individuals with autism and a teenager with cerebral palsy ride the rides in theme park. I've only seen great treatment and inclusion. When I was on the ferris wheel this evening the man operating the ride was incredibly kind and talked to my sister about her bubbles being great. I wish I knew his name to shout out because he made my day. His shift was around 4pm today. Big mood for the high ethical standards and inclusive environment! One star for water park and food in water park, 3 stars for the amusement park side. I reserved a Cabana 4 months ago so we wouldn't have to fight for seats and to have an upgraded experience for myself, husband, two young children and my parents. Granted, we went the day after the 4th but the place was so busy it was difficult to enjoy anything. The Cabana had cheap plastic furniture, hardly any shade and we were placed next to a super loud speaker. It was not relaxing at all, especially when we ordered food for our already hungry children and was told it would be an hour and a half (it was actually more like two and they forgot two of the food items we ordered). For a $200 Cabana you would think you would be getting better service. Oh and the guy told us not to order the sandwiches (which 3 of us wanted) because there had been concerns about stale bread and lack of meat. I didn't even get in the water even though I would have really liked to go down a water slide or two for how much we spent for our day there, but the lines looked so long and we spent so much time waiting for food, trying to locate a life vest and walking from point A to point B that we just wanted to get out of the place as soon as the kids were done playing in the water. We went to the amusement park side after so the kids could go on some rides, which was a little better. We only went to the little kids area which was much less crowded and line lengths were fine. However, I would have liked to go on some bigger rides with my husband but again the wait for those rides looked pretty long. So A) try not to go on a holiday weekend (it was a Friday but still) B) Cabana not worth it especially if you have little kids because the cabanas are on the opposite end of the water park of the kids area C) eat before going, bring snacks in if you can d) if you want to do most of the park expect a lot of waiting and not getting to do many rides in just one day, especially if you have kids! E) Everything is overpriced. We will not be returning for a long time ( we have family that lives nearby) , until the kids get a lot older and we will have lowered expectations. read more

We came to Silverwood without really knowing much about it other than there is a"dry side" and a "water side". I originally purchased the tickets in May of 2020 just before full covid freak out mode. Silverwood announced they would hold the tickets over to the 2021 season. In June of this year, I wasn't sure we would be able to go but by July family plans had changed and we had a spare weekend. I called Silverwood to make sure our tickets were still good. Not only were they still good, they had given us an extra day in the park. Kudos to Silverwood. (I'll check my bank account later, but I'm fairly certain they earned that ticket cost back.) Zero issues at check in. Everything went smoothly. The ambiance of Silverwood is great. We decided that if Main Street in Disney and Frontierland had a baby, it would be Silverwood. The staff was superb. The grounds are obviously well maintained (which leads to higher confidence in ride safety too.) Stunt Pilot was not open while we were there, but I'd rather they fix it than risk it. Food is VERY reasonably priced for this type of attraction. The Chuckwagon? Fantastic! We loved it! Great value! We should've eaten there both days! Things we noticed that could have led to a higher rating: *Lighting at the lockers is ZERO. If you don't have a flashlight, you'll have to enter the combination by feel. Not even by grail because there are no bumps. Safety issue? The park at night in general is not very well lit. This could be improved for sure. *It would have been so nice if there were water kiosks selling JUST beverages. Standing in line for 45 minutes to get a cold water was disappointing. *The map on the brochure is very cartoonlike and doesn't really help much. And last of all...the train ride...oh my. That was a bit of a shocker. We got on the vintage steam engine to take a ride around the park. Thought maybe we'd get to hear a little about the park. It turned out to be...well, it reminded me of an extremely long and painful summer camp skit that you can't even excuse yourself to go to the bathroom to vomit because you're stuck on a train at the far reaches of the park. It was painful. AFTER we suffered through it, I read the reviews. Seems it's not a favorite AT ALL. Silverwood, if you do nothing else, stop abusing your guests on the train ride and follow the advice of every reviewer on here. Change it to a fun fact ride around the park with maybe a few dad jokes thrown in. Your visitors will thank you. read more

Not for tall people. lol. I'm 6'4 and was way too big to fit in any of the roller coasters comfortably. I was cramping and it was painful for hours afterwards. I'm not overweight, but corkscrew was hard to breathe in because of the pull down bar was too tight for how big I am. Stunt pilot was so cramped up to the point my hips started hurting so bad that I had to go home after riding cutting the fun of the day short. I did see some friends from Alaska there, which was surprising and I invited them over to our house for dinner. It was great seeing them and if I hadn't gone, I probably wouldn't have known they were in town, so at least there was a good part. The place is clean, probably the cleanest amusement park I've been to, but I'd probably not go again because of the pain of being tall. read more

Buckle up and keep your hands on the phone, this is going to be a long review. The last time I was at silverwood I was 17. That was 18 years ago and I loved it then. Wanted to share the experience with my daughters who are 15 and 10. We live on the Washington coast so this was an 9 hour drive for us. Worth every moment in the hot car after the wonderful experience we had yesterday. We have been to a few amusement parks and this truly sits up there with Disneyland for me. Here's all the positives: 1. Bathrooms in all the right places! We never had an issue getting to a bathroom we brought backpack water bags to keep hydrated and had to use the bathroom often! 2. There was always a bench or chair to sit on. They have cement benches along the paths so if your waiting for someone who's on a ride, you get to be comfy too. 3. Cleanliness. I didn't see a single overfilled trash can, or piece of trash on the ground. The bathrooms were emculate! They also keep the wasps and bees under control very well. The most bugs we saw were on the train ride and they were butterflies. 4. Prices! You think theme park, you almost expect to be ripped off. here I felt like everything was reasonably priced, maybe it's Idaho, but either way I was pleased with it. And on that note, they allow food into the park with most parks that I have been to do not. We brought some snacks and our water backpacks but choose to eat in the park. 5. Decorations/ landscape it's gorgeous here your gramma will appreciate the work that has gone into the little plants and trees and statues all around the park. With that comes the added bonus of many spots which have shade. 6. Staff/friendliness the employees are amazing. There is a really nice atmosphere and everyone is very respectful and kind. And it really carries over into the guests. The guests were courteous to each other I never had to plug the ears of my 10 year old cause some teen was swearing nearby, I didn't see and line cutting or line saving or spitting. There's music all around and there is just a nice positive energy within the park. 7. Convenience and other: we loved the easy access to lockers we ended up not going to boulder beach, but we brought stuff for that just in case and first thing we did was rent a locker and it was only 10$ for the day. We were able to take a break reapply some sunscreen, and get back into the fun. The train was a highlight! It was silly and funny but had my 10 year old asking "is that lady going to be ok?" She was very concerned about our train guide who was acting. It was cute. Don't want to spoil it. 8. Rides. Finally the rides. Love the way this park is laid out. No big hills, no narrow paths, more advanced rides are kept together, there's a perfect for little kids section, and some neutral fun for all rides scattered in between. There's loops so you can easily continue to the next section without back tracking. Love the system for photos, you can have your souvenir photos taken and stored for safe keeping in the coffee shop near the exit to pick up on the way out. This was so nice cause we did Tremors pretty early in the day and this way our picture didn't get damaged. And that was a free service! We loved the rides and always felt safe and secure. The staff do a very good job of checking the harnesses and explaining the rules. Also the rides were very clean! 9. Management: on last note and this almost took this review from a 5 to a 4 star but the actions from management rectified it. My daughter unexpectedly started her period and we were without, supplies, so I made my way to the general store asked the fellow about the pads and he didn't know. There was a sealed package of pads and an open one. He had to contact his supervisor to find out weather I could purchase like 3 or If I had to get the entire bag. Had to wait 10 min for a call back. Then he said I could have as many as I needed. I said three. The gentlemen then began to charge me the price on the bag ($4.50) for each pad. I said I'm not going to pay 12 dollars for three pads am I? Cause I won't do that. He said no, I'll just charge you for one but I'll give you three. Now anyone who buys these products knows, for $4.77 i could have gotten a brand name box of pads. Anyways we had more fun to have so I left, a little annoyed but I left. My sister in law later pointed out that any issues can be taking up with any worker who would get a management person to help. So at the end of the day I returned to the store with the receipt and got a full refund as the pads are actually free of charge to guests in need. This situation was embarrassing and the guy said he was new at that spot in the park. So I can't be too upset with him. And it was correct without any issues. So that being the worst experience of the day and it being fixed is why I gave my 5 stars. I want to make this a yearly trip. And hopefully get to boulder beach next time! read more

Such an amazing family park!! We went on a cloudy/occasionally rainy day but it didn't ruin the day. Lines were short or didn't exist, which meant we got to go on our favorites over and over. Lots of beach chairs were available and the staff were all super helpful and attentive. I keeps seeing reviews saying the food is expensive... we didn't eat at any of the walk up food places. We opted for one of the restaurants that was seated and the prices were standard restaurant prices. Not only that it didn't taste like theme park food...it was actually really good!! Things like cotton candy and kettle corn were about what you pay at any event. The games were fun and my kids all won prizes without having to pay out a ton. The rides were so fun!! We went on Thunder Canyon a few times. Being able to all ride together made it one of our favorites! While it doesn't have the same level of rides as Disneyland I honestly loved it more. It was relaxed, it wasn't crowded, it was just an amazing day! read more

While my family did our best to respect social distancing guidelines and wearing masks, I was exceedingly disappointed with the staff for NOT enforcing masking rules. A small percentage of people were masked up, however most were not. People were so close in lines that I actually got kicked from behind from a little girl swinging on the hand rails.... and parents not paying attention to have this child apologize. Only some rides were wiping down between riders which was also disappointing. Glad I brought my own hand sanitizer. Staff was friendly and all wearing masks!! Thank you!! My kids had a great time and we hope to return... but after COVID precautions because Silverwood clearly didn't have safety of guests under control. read more

Lines are really long. Even towards the beginning of the season before Bolder Beach opens and the park is pretty empty as far as attendance goes, the lines are long. You'll wait 30-45 minutes for the roller coasters on a slow day, or 90 minutes for Thunder Canyon. It would be faster if the staff filled every seat. Take a cue from Disney and do single riders. If there's 3 seats left on Thunder Canyon and the next group is a party of 4, don't just let the raft go with 3 seats, call out for a party of 3 and move the line along. The log ride can seat 4 but there's a lot of party of 2's. So get two party of 2's and fill the ride. And the script for the train is racist. The fake Mexican accents are offensive. They've used the same tape for a while, and the script is funny, but I don't know why they have to do the over-the-top-caricature accents with it. And while I'm on the subject of the train ride, I'd like to see the along the way sightseeing keep in theme with the Old West theme. Get rid of the goofy water squirting trolls and do something in theme. The Sasquatch creatures ought to be updated - there's got to be better looking statues than that. And the weird fairy area looks like the owner saw stuff on Pinterest and liked it, but wanted to stick it in the park somewhere. That stuff would be more appropriate in the Country Carnival area. Better perks for season pass holders should also be looked at. Like maybe you get in 30 minutes earlier so you can knock out some of the more popular attractions? Or you can at least get by the rope that drops at 11 so you're first in line. Or the parking right by the security check-point entrance is for pass holders but it's first-come-first-served so only the first 20 pass holders to arrive get those spots. This park has the potential to be a hidden gem in the PNW, but the staff have to move the lines faster and get people through. read more

Took a group of 21 family members and reserved 2 cabanas. Food was reasonable priced and wait staff worked very hard to keep everything taken care of at the cabanas. The water side of the park was great during the heat of the day and adults could hang out at cabanas. Water park closed at 7pm and some of the adults went home. The kids went to the side with the rides for all ages and closed the park down at 10pm. What a full day and great time with something for everyone. ps. I would like to see a better app and electronic ordering from cabana, but just a minor wish. read more

This used to be my family's favorite place, but it's not anymore. When we first arrived, we were treated very rudely by a security guard when we mistook a bin for a garbage and dropped in our tickets. Even though many people before us had done the same thing (that's why we thought it was a garbage), we were scolded by the security guard. After apologizing to her repeatedly, she still wouldn't let up. After that, we encountered extremely long lines at the bathroom, long lines at every ride, lines for food. My breaking point was when I stood in line for 45 minutes to get a funnel cake and drinks. We then tto get into the magic show and even though we were fifteen minutes early, it was full. We were told (politely at least) we would have to arrive 45 minutes early to watch the show. That is ridiculous. We won't be back anytime soon. read more

Great Amusement park family friendly in more than ways then one. They have affordable drink cups you can refill which is awesome on a hot day and your kids are on their umpteenth soda.. The train ride was my favorite and the lazy river. The kids were all about those roller coasters riding each twice or more. Can't wait to go back! read more

We have been coming to Silverwood for years and have loved every time we have been here. However, this year was a different story. The trash talking/profanity that used to really not be heard is much to prevalent; especially the "F" word being used like it is someone's first language. People are smoking in line, throwing garbage on the ground, and just general disrespect. Doing this review saddens me so much because we have invested so much into this slice of heaven. We would come here to escape the rat race of going to Disneyland, but it looks like the rat race has found Silverwood. I wish I did not have to write this review. read more

Today, I had two extremely negative interactions with a female security guard. She harassed me twice and had an incredibly snotty and immature attitude and ruined my night. I've been to silverwood many times and have had good experiences, but these interactions left such a sour taste in my mouth that I will not return and I will no longer encourage friends and family to be patrons at silverwood. Instead I will actively discourage anyone who will listen from visiting silverwood, until this is addressed. This all stemmed from an attempt at scaring one of the actors during Scarywood, who proceeded to call me an 'asshat'. As of writing, scaring the actors is not listed as a rule on their website, nor posted anywhere in the park, nor in any material I've received. I was threatened by the security guard multiple times to remove me from the park, and that since this is private property "they can do anything they want to me" (yes, she literally said that). If this is what silverwood thinks is appropriate behavior - then visitor beware. read more

What an amazing amusement park! Staff are all very friendly and helpful! The rides were great, lines moved smoothly! Just completed a 2 day friends reunion and we all had an amazing time! Prices are unbelievably low for an amusement park. It is very clear that Silverwood actually cares about their guests and not their bottom line. Obviously this is a business and I'm sure making money money is important, but to see reasonable prices is very refreshing! Cleanliness of the park was very noticeable! It was very hard to find a piece of trash on the ground and if you did, it was picked up by an employee within minutes! Finally..A+ for the park appearance...everything, (from the green grass to hanging flower baskets), was so well manicured. Owners, Management and Staff should all be very proud of their park!! Worst place I've ever been. Made a trip all the way down from Washington for my son's 18th birthday and this was a total waste of a day and money. Rode a total of 5 rides 3 of which broke down. We were given exit passes to quick ride some rides which is how we rode 2 of those 5 rides. We waited in line just to get on the ride, then for them to tell us sorry, the ride is being delayed and we're calling maintenance, please get off. This happened over and over and over. After complaining a second time, NOTHING was done. We spent all that money and all of our time for nothing. I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone and I will continue to write bad reviews on every platform. Such bad costumer service and just a horrible experience in general. read more
