This little pharmacy is absolutely wonderful. They are a quick stop and usually have everything that you would need, if not by namebrand, they do bring in generic brands, which work just is fine. Prescription wise I highly recommend calling your provider and calling it in to the pharmacy. I see a lot of reviews complaining about silvertip not having what they need. Kindly keep in mind, This is a small town in West Montana. These ladies do a wonderful job, keeping just enough product on the shelf and taking care of prescriptions. If you are in need of a larger prescription or a very specific medication, I recommend calling ahead and making sure the pharmacy can handle it, or traveling to either big sky, or Bozeman. read more

Visiting Yellowstone all the way from Arizona on a family road trip. I got sick on the way here and just kept getting worse. Bladder spams and urinary frequency. This pharmacy was so professional and I was concerned due to the reviews but it was the only one nearby. They are amazing. Not sure why people complain. It's a small pharmacy but very efficient. They sell Azo OTC and I called Teledoc my insurances preferred virtual doctor for an appointment. An hour later my doctor sent Silvertip my prescription and the next morning it was waiting for me. I no longer was in pain from the over counter Azo and the prescription kicked in for me to treat the urine infection. Truly God sent. I am so thankful for this pharmacy. Next stop Mexico City then onto to Zion NP. We are traveling this summer and I am so glad I know the best pharmacy if ever needed again in Montana. read more

I saw some negative reviews about this place and just wanted to post to say my experience was totally different. I got hives while in Yellowstone and made the drive out here to get some medication. The pharmacist was really nice to work with, everybody was kind, and I got my prescription quickly, I was very grateful to have this option while camping. read more

i was here for fishing vacation and 3 of my meds didn't get in my suitcase from home. went in to get a transfer from my pharmacy. it took over 1.7 hours to get as I waited patiently. only one other patient came in while I waited. Busy Monday am filling rx for patients to pick up later. ask if there was a problem on the time to get it. their reply was my fault I left my meds at home they were too busy right now. then when I got the three generic meds was charged over $70 for drugs that didn't cost them more than $10. very rude service. Thought an independent pharmacy would be more understanding since I'm an independent pharmacist also in another state. read more

How this awful establishment stays open is beyond me. Most likely because of the price gouging of basic prescriptions. The lay out of this pharmacy is one that you walk into a crowd of customers as the actual dispensary is by the front door. This makes their attempts at social distancing futile. Was in need of tylenol and Paxlovid as my husband and I got sick while on vacation. This small town pharmacy was able to help, however, not sure why they charged $25 for Paxlovid (which should be free) or even $10 for a regular size bottle of regular strength tylenol. Gave the store a try and was quite happy with my experience. I just needed a medication sold only by the pharmacy. They had what I needed and at a fair price. I was in West Yellowstone on September 20 and needed to refill a prescription for my dog with a very old generic medication. As a recently retired pharmacist I know what average wholesale price and MAC pricing on drugs means. 30 tabs of Trazadone 150mg should cost approximately $6.59. This pharmacy charged me almost a 6x markup of $37.00. When we questioned the price the technician said, "Well you're in a rural area now". While I could understand 2x the price, but not this kind of markup. As the only pharmacy within 60 miles, we were being way over charged. read more

The worst. You only use them because you have too. Never answer the phone or return a call. Drove straight there from a clinic that just happened to be out of the medication. Needed to fill a prescription while we were on vacation. We had this problem in another town since we are on a very long trip and we used a large chain in another town, since we have a HMO that isn't in any town we visited we had the out of pocket expense. To make this long story short, the big chain in the other town was just short of a nightmare and EXPENSIVE. This pharmacy was AMAZING from the minute I walked in to the time my prescription was filled it was painless for me. Not so much for them since my HMO is a big pain to get through and my apologies to them. They were very friendly and filled them both promptly and at a very reasonable price unlike that big chain store. I cannot say enough about this small town pharmacy accept if you need to find a place to fill a prescription when visiting this area this is it!!! The service was unlike anything I have ever seen. I walked in and a man walked in after me. He was greated by name and helped ahead of me. His perscription was filled immediately and I was left to wait. When I was addressed I let them know I was there to pick up a perscription. I was told the wait would be an hour and a half. (It was off- season and not another person in the store.) I told them I'd wait since it would take me an hour to get back if I left. They said they would get to it when they could but it would be at least 1.5 hours. I called the doctor who treated me and had my perscription transferred to another location. Yes it was a very long drive (an hour) but they were willing to serve me and not be rude. I called to see why my perscription would take so long but the other customer was immediately served and was yelled at, told I was wasting their time, they were so busy (no customers when I left), and hung up on. Take your business ANYWHERE else. I have never been treated like this and especially from someone who is in healthcare. read more

I live in Idaho and didn't realize that Silvertip Pharmacy would also accept my insurance. I was driving 45 miles one way to pick up prescriptions. Due to a recent surgery, we've been having to fill alot of prescriptions and Silvertip has saved me so many unnecessary miles. The staff is helpful and if they do not have a certain medication, they will order it and have it the next day. Visitors need to understand that this is a very small, home town pharmacy. This was a true disappointment. They didn't have the medicine we needed, and told us they could transfer the prescription if we told them where. I called back several times during business hours--no answer. Called the next day and they told me they couldn't transfer a prescription without me filling out paperwork in person. The pharmacist in Billings called multiple times and could get no answer. Again, during business hours. We ended up having a second script called into Billings. Just unnecessarily difficult. read more

For a small Mom and Pop pharmacy, they seem to have anything you need. I had to get a prescription filled here. They can take electronic prescriptions. Called my doctor yesterday, picked it up today. Oh, if you "transfer" (which I didn't do) a prescription they charge a $5 fee. I did not "transfer" a prescription. I had my doctor SEND a prescription for one fill. Wal-Mart usually charges me $1.75 for this same prescription after going through insurance. well, I had to pay $6.70 after insurance. I called and I was told I was NOT charged a "transfer" fee, it would have been itemized if they had. Ok..... but wowsies........... They also have a BIG sign that says the technician is NOT allowed to give "medical" advice. Ok, I understand this. But they don't seem to know the difference between MEDICAL advice and FINANCIAL advice. I tried to ask what the "breakdown" of the cost was (i.e., how much was insurance billed......) I was told I "had to get that information from my insurance." Um..... I was NOT asking a "medical" question, I was asking an ACCOUNTING question....... I don't see why they could not give me the cost WITHOUT insurance, and I'll figure the insurance discount myself. (I'm a geek about this......) It seems to be a great pharmacy, but I'm knocking off one star because of the price of my prescription being high, and not knowing the difference between a "medical" question and an "accounting" question....... (I guess I could have asked the pharmacist, but the pharmacist was busy, didn't want to bother....) No place to park an RV. I walked here from an RV park. read more

This is a review for Airbnb management. We booked a property and shortly there after my wife developed a knee problem which precluded her from using the many stairs in the house we were going to rent. Unfortunately, we missed the 48 hour no-fault cancellation. By about 12 hours. However Airbnb management was great. They asked for and we provided a doctors note and then They subsequently returned the $600 plus deposit that we had put down. They also expressed hopes that my wife's Knee would recover soon. Good people! They can't be trusted and we will be back as soon as we can! read more

Terrible customer service!!!! Meds were called in for my dog who was sick and we are out-of-towners. No call to me or to my vet, who called it in twice, to say there was an issue despite her calling it in at 7:30am. We ended our day in Yellowstone early to intentionally give them the day to get his meds filled and me there in time before they closed. Got there only to find that they knew there was an issue in the morning yet never called me or my vet, who'd left phone numbers, to let us know we would have to go 90 min away to the next pharmacy to get it because they didn't have it and are closed (as are the ones 90 min away) on the weekends. So here I could have used today to go down there and get them, had someone called me or my vet to say there was an issue. Called to ask about all this and ask why no one called me and THE DUDE WHO TALKED WITHOUT MAKING EVER MAKING EYE CONTACT from my in-person visit answered and then, get this, hung up on me. There was no yelling in my part, nothing of the like. In fact, when asked why I didn't get a call and I said I knew my vet had left her number in case there was an issue, said, "Well..." CLICK. Who does that!?! What self-respecting individual and business represented by said individual does that? An "I'm sorry" is the LEAST anyone of them could have said to me, either in person or on the phone. Sadly, my 12 pound senior tri-pawed poodle is the one that is going to suffer tonight due to their lack of empathy, sense of urgency or minute decency. read more

We waited 2 hours for them to open. They opened a couple minutes late, that was fine. The lady at the desk said it would take about 45 minutes to get her computer running. We waited 2 hours to know that she couldn't get me my prescription until an hour later. I would suggest getting there almost a hour earlier and getting everything up and running, so when it opens, they are ready to go. read more

We love the outstanding service we receive at Silvertip. Our Rx's are always filled quickly and the staff is always very quick with recommendations on OTC supplies. If it weren't for Silvertip we would have no pharmacy within easy driving distance so we very much appreciate having them there.
