Lifesaver of a store! Hiking boots fell apart while in Yellowstone. This place had only 4 pairs left, but I found one that fit. Nearest shoe store would probably be 100 miles away. They had other Fila sneakers, which I suppose would have been better than nothing, but wouldn't have really worked well. I'm just thankful this store had 1 last pair that fit me. Gentleman working in the store was super nice as well. Worth a visit for general merchandise if you're in town. read more

I have walked past this store dozens of times and never stopped in but when I did I was amazed it's the closest thing to Walmart in the area everything from socks to camping equipment. People around town said that this is their version of Walmart. I had asked if there was anywhere in town to buy shoes. It is a cute little store with some clothing, shoes, camping stuff and little things you might need. I came because we were on vacation and my daughter had forgot her shoes back in CA. So.... we can't really wear flip-flops hiking. They had a few different pairs of shoes. But a size 8 in woman's, we didn't have much of a choice. So we got some Sketchers which were $68. Talk about crazy. In the Sketchers store the same shoes are around $30-$35. Quite a markup. read more

We were unprepared in the shoe department for the snow this past weekend and stopped at the trading post looking for toddler size hiking boots. They not only had them but the were at reasonable prices. The staff on duty was helpful and friendly. If you forgot something check here. read more

This place was unbelievable. Diane was so incredibly kind to our family. Our second night in Yellowstone our tent zipper broke and we found ourselves purchasing a new tent at the trading post. Unfortunately for us it rained the first night in our new tent and woke up to a lot of our things wet, as it was not completely waterproof. We ended up having to move our stuff out in the pouring rain. It was not ideal for our young family, as our girls are 2 and 4. The next morning we tried to return the tent. We were super exhausted. Diane helped us immediately, and was willing to assist our family promptly. She even helped explain to us about the different kinds of tents and ways we can waterproof them. She was so kind to us. We are more than impressed with the customer service we received. read more

I love the Roundup Trading post. We found ourselves here a few times picking up things we needed for camping. I think the prices here were very reasonable for being in a tourist town. It seems like they carry a limited amount of everything in here. There was camping stuff, art supplies, souveniers, toys, and best of all, mylar balloons. That was good to know, since my daughter had her birthday during our trip. The ladies working there were very nice, and after asking us for permission, offered our kids suckers for being good and using their manners. When we vacation in Yellowstone, we will definitely come back here. read more
