This is a wonderful store, the owner takes pride in his store, as I paid for my ice cream a receipt fell out of my pocket. The owner walked over and picked up the receipt . When I saw him picking it up I realized it was mine and he gave it back to me. In all the stores in West Yellowstone, I have never seen anyone take the time to keep the floor clean. While I was in the store the owner and his employees were very kind to me and my dog, tucked away in her dog sling; they offered her water. The employees are very friendly and welcoming; considering the multitude of international tourists. I purchased several items in the Clearance section of the store as well as the main section. All the items I purchased were reasonably priced. The store has an extensive selection of souvenirs for everyone's taste. Spend sometime looking around and sit at the old fashion soda bar and enjoy the best ice cream in West Yellowstone. I highly recommend to visit this store. read more

Marketed as a historic soda fountain landmark, when they don't even have a fountain. The shop is simply a glorified gift shop. The best they do is sell ice cream. All the employees were clearly foreign. Not what we expected from a supposed historical landmark. read more

We purchased 8 bottles of Huckleberry BBQ Sauce, 12 oz. on August 16, 2025 for family Christmas gifts. They packaged the jars individually in bubble wrap, and placed in their store shopping bag. We drove home in two days to California. When we opened the bag, 6 out of 8 bottles leaked. I called the store twice to notify them of the situation to no resolve. My last call was with owner Jordan on August 28. On previous visits to this store, we had good experiences with ice cream and a few souvenir purchases. read more

Under new management! This place is going through some changes- while we were here, they were actively installing new ceilings over the gas pumps. This place looks like an old time log cabin from the outside, and a crazy gift shop on the inside! Need to use the restroom- that'll cost you a purchase. Not sure if gas counts. When I parked here, the gas pump pull-in section was so small I had to block two sidewalks. They had stuff that they also sell in Yellowstone - t-shirts, stickers, magnets, etc. They had all the same stuff- but this place seems to be one of the many that are selling their stuff much, much cheaper than they do inside the park. Although this stuff is still pretty expensive, it's much, much cheaper than the gift shops inside the park. The restrooms were nice. All wood! They had an old time soda stand, but it was closed when we went. Why do they sell used license plates here? This looks like one of the older filling stations I've ever been to. It has remnants of some antique filling station. Check out the old time postcard stamp machines they have set aside! Swoon! read more

Stopped into the Eagle's Store quickly on our way out of town to pick up a sweatshirt or two (purchased two!). Loved the atmosphere in the store and would have loved time to wander around more, if time had allowed. The next day I could not find my sunglasses and did not think that I could have left them in the store until a couple days later. In calling, I learned they were on the owner's desk waiting to be claimed! The owners were wonderful to work with, and they shipped my glasses to me (Kansas). I am very grateful! I highly recommend everyone stop by this fantastic store. Such great care and service for those who do. read more

September 20, 2024 we visited the Eagles store in West Yellowstone Montana. Our family grew up with the Eagle children in Bozeman, MT. The Eagles Store has always been a favorite for our visits to West Yellowstone. We were happy to, once again, visit the store yesterday until we were surprised to see a large display of pro-Trump t-shirts and hats in our faces. VERY DISAPPOINTED to experience one-sided political paraphernalia mixed in with family vacations and fun. DONE, no more Eagles Store for us or our visiting friends and families! read more

My family and me decided to stop here on our last afternoon because of the Soda Shop and souvenirs, which turned out to be a mistake. There weren't many souvenirs, unless you count junk toys, and the Soda Shop was a joke. The kid behind the counter took 30 minutes for three shakes. He blended them so long, they were actually liquid. Three other families showed up right after us and waited 20 minutes before, one just left, the second complained to the girl behind the adjacent counter who made their kid a cone, and the third, walked out refusing to pay for shakes that had been blended far too long. When he finally finished our three shakes, I had to pay at the other register because I used a card. My recommendation is that you walk one block west on the same street and get your stuff from Hagan Daz. It'll take less time, cost less and taste much better. read more

She forgot the cane at the store we contacted the store and the owner was so grateful to ask us for our information and he mailed it to us. It was a handmade cane that helped her walk. Amazingly eclectic one-stop-shop store: it's a gas station, a corner grocery, a women's and men's wear clothier, a stuff animal supplier, sporting goods outlet, toy store, a jerky stand, an ice supplier, AND a soda fountain / micro restaurant. Gas station lanes on the corner are tricky and tight: sedans and compact SUV's -or expert drivers- only, please. Eagle's is staffed by friendly folks and they have great tips and knowledge. Prices are touristy in summer (and it'd be weird if they weren't... no offense, but West Yell isn't really much of a destination otherwise); however, significantly lower than the prices inside YNP's "general stores" and for, often, the same goods. Best secret tip: Do all your souvenir & kids-distractions shopping here, on the way into the park. ;) Oh, and best gas station restrooms for 100+ miles. read more

Really enjoyed a French vanilla caramel candy malt (called Stuck in a Rut?) and the store dates back to pre-automobile times, started by the founder of the town to gain train tourist business. Plus the staff helped explain to us how to use bear spray before our hike. Wide assortment of clothing and shoes as well. Stop by on your way to the Yellowstone West entrance! read more

My family is on vacation. We come to Yellowstone every summer and we like to go to the shops. My daughter and I were looking around in Eagles store today and we both found things we loved. The owners were amazing! When I was walking around I could hear one of the owners chatting with the customers and being extremely personable. I found some gorgeous keychains and I wanted to purchase all they had, so the owners gave me a deal and made sure everything was packaged, wrapped and organized very neatly. Another owner overheard my daughter saying how she wanted to purchase A toy for herself and one for her friend, but she didn't have enough money. He discounted one of them so that she could afford both. On top of that, while we were checking out, he gave her a third plushy for free! My daughter has been in happy tears ever since, and saying "I wonder what I did right to deserve that". They don't no the impact that kindness had on my 11 year old. I'm sure she'll remember it for many years. The owners go above and beyond for there customers and I will support them every year I come back. read more

This is a cute store, and as the other reviews suggest, they have a lot to offer. I can't comment on the soda or food, but it looked inviting. This is also one of the most popular places to purchase bear spray in town, and to be honest, we felt we were unethically misled. The gentleman at the sporting goods counter was telling customers that you can ship the bear spray home if you don't use it (which is important, as they ask about $50 for it). However, neither UPS NOR USPS allow you to ship it!! We ended up taking it with us through Glacier as well, and asked at a handful of different shipping facilities, and they all said unequivocally that they do not ship bear spray except directly from manufacturers. So basically we lost $50 on false advertising; clearly they did not confirm this with shipping companies. I did call Eagle's to see if they would offer us a partial refund, and they said "only if you ship it back" -- well, duh!! can't do that because nobody will ship it! So we felt that was really unethical. We drove up from a small town, and one member of our party was in the US military -- needless to say, we were the kind of people who were brought up to be straightforward and honest in your dealings with patrons, and Eagle's fell short in that regard. We did not appreciate getting yanked around, and it's a shame that even "townie" stores like these will do anything for a buck. It was wrong, and should have been handled more ethically. Hard to tell by the title or the description but this is also an old school Soda Fountain and they have huckleberry milkshakes I'm still day dreaming about. They have other flavors and other soda fountain favorites so for a break on a hot summer day, this is a sure bet. read more

UMM im not sure what this place is like as a store, BUT i can tell you this: Absolutely the BEST chocolate milkshake I have ever had. We were passing through west yellowstone when my dad's attention was caught by the old school soda fountain they had in this place, so we decided to stop in. We were greeted by a nice young man across the counter, then my dad proceeded to order a chocolate shake. First, the young man smartly asks what thickness we would prefer for our shake. That was clue number one that this was going to be the best milkshake ever because who likes thin runny milkshakes?? Obviously we asked for it to be nice and thick. Clue number two was that he was using Wilcoxson's ice cream, which is always delicious, but clue number three was the homemade chocolate syrup that they add to the shake. And BOOM! Magic in a cup, best chocolate milkshake ever! It was so good, we purposely drove through west yellowstone about a month later just to get the milkshake again. Definitely need to go here if you are passing through on your trip to Yellowstone. read more

A wonderful selection of western apparel and gifts to take home, plus they're huge! For a small town they have a very large selection of products, from sporting goods and fishing gear to western hats, boots, belts and native American made crafts and jewelry. Plus a wonderful soda fountain that's as authentic as you can hope for. It's amazing that it's still family owned after 105 years. Anyone doing some shopping in West Yellowstone should make time to stop, shop, and have a chocolate malt or sunday. read more

As a native Montanan, I can tell you this store is an INSTITUTION. West Yellowstone would not be West Yellowstone without it! This store has been here for over 100 years. The same family owns it. It is a FANTASTIC store offering all sorts of goodies - even milkshakes! There is a range of products and prices to fit every budget and if you can't find something, you have a problem! I have bought some high-quality western clothing there. I have visited West Yellowstone numerous times over the years - and a visit would not be complete without visiting this store. Tourists will not have had a true visit to West Yellowstone if they don't go to this store! read more
