After all the time that I was waiting I left and a few days later got charged almost $45 when it should've been $10. I called in multiple times after opening, got sent to voicemail several times. I then got through a couple times and was put on hold for several minutes even though I was the first collar in line. I came in in the following evening and was told that I had to come in person between the hours of 7 AM and 3 PM to get my refund which caused me to have to call out of work. In addition to all of that every single time that I come, I ask for touchless, but somebody in the wash area typically messes up and I get the brushes on my car. I have scratches on my windshield. All in all after talking with the manager and talking with the employee from the last time, not once did I get an apology. Each time I was just asked if I wanted to sign back up and give them more money. Spend your money somewhere else.

I confirmed with employee if this is $15.00 each month and employee responded, it's $15.00 for all 3 months. Because this would total $5.00 a month I questioned their current special again with employee and their response was again, it's $15.00 for all 3 months, so I signed up! At a later date, I was going through receipts in my car and I questioned this again, so I contacted their # which is 1-833-712-1747. I spoke to a very helpful gal who mentioned that I may possibly be given a free month for the mix up, as she transferred me to a James at their corporate office. He said, it's incorrect what the employee told me and it's $15.00 EACH month for 3 months. It's exactly what I had originally thought. James with his cockiness felt superior to the customer over the phone, as if the customer is at fault for "hearing" the special incorrectly, although I reiterated with their employee a few times about their current special. I don't think James thought I'd cancel my membership over the phone with him, as my family has been with this company on and off for several years. I most likely would not have cancelled, but due to James superior attitude and his desperate need to feel like a big man, I'll now suggest for James taking a class on phone etiquette and tact, as he has no personality dealing with customers. James, if I can give you any helpful advice; I'd suggest just sit back, take a deep breathe, look up at the ceiling and get up out of your chair, then walk over to the nearest mirror and lean in, take a close look and say to yourself; I probably need to stay the F off of the phone. Have a nice day, James!

I've got to get this place above one measly star! We lived in West Des Moines for a couple years…read moreprior to moving back to Des Moines and frequented this place, most often for gas or coffee. The same guy was always behind the convenience store counter and we would go in so often that he would remember us and what we wanted (not sure if he's still there, also not sure what his name was). Always super friendly. TODAY however, we had to go in for the dreaded car repair. My husband had a mishap with the curb (of all things) and essentially knocked his right front tire completely out of alignment and nearly snapped the control bar, requiring a replacement of said parts along with a tire alignment. This all happened fairly close to the body shop so it was the closest place to get to without further driving/ruining his car. They got us in and out in just under two hours and the car drives like new again. Sh*t happens and it's awesome to have a place like this that actually cares about you, your well-being and the well-being of your vehicle. The mechanics explained everything very thoroughly [though we're both still car-mechanics-illiterate :) ] and made sure we knew what the problem was, what needed to be done to fix it and what the costs were going to be. They even had to order a part and they were still done in 2 hours! For what started out as a fairly terrible experience these guys made it as painless as dropping money on your self-inflicted car wounds can be. THANK YOU! Will return.

Don't ever confuse being furious with being difficult! First LIE; Shawn, Bill & Shawn Jr ALL proudly shared with me the new 30K Engine Analyzer they had & would be using to diagnose the reason for the SERVICE ENGINE SOON warning dash light coming on. Second LIE; Yes THAT SERVICE ENGINE SOON is the correct light that was on & the reason I brought my mother's car in. Shawn was aware THAT was the warning dash light that was lit & he even reset it following their unneeded service. Not a CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. Third Lie; I DID NOT MOVE ANY BARREL blocking your carwash entrance & for you to accuse me of doing that is beyond ridiculous. If Shawn is such an honest guy, as you initially touted to me, he would have told you HE MOVED THAT BARREL & then told me to drive in & he'd start the carwash. It never started, not one drop of water was ever released. Shawn even apologized to me saying he was sorry he didn't realize it was not working. I was even told to come back in the Springtime for a free wash. I hope my reviews give future potential customers pause before taking their vehicle to your service center. Again with the false accusations. Any still pictures you claim to have of "a woman moving your barrel" is not me. Ask Shawn, IF he's the honest guy you say he is, he'll tell you the truth, HE MOVED THAT BARREL. YOU however are the height of an unprofessional businessman. Funny how when you texted me pleading with me to bring the car back you stated "I'm not like those other guys, I'm professional & I just want to make it right for you" HA AND by calling a dissatisfied customer a "Karen" immediately identifies you as a immature & hateful MAGA, certainly NOT ANY KIND OF PROFESSIONAL!

Not just because they have been in this area for decades, but because they have been reliable throughout the years. This most recent visit was no exception. The exterior of the vehicle looks great, and has a nice fresh-off-the-lot shine. The interior was past due for a little TLC so I went ahead and added an interior clean package. On a scale of 1 to 10, I will give this particular round a 6. While better than it was, the vacuum and dust cloths missed a number of places, and the windshield - the main reason for wanting the interior cleaned - still has some smudges. As an aside, while I can't confirm/may well be mistaken, I think that a number of the photos on the walls in the waiting area are of actual employees that I have seen working at this location. If that's the case, kudos to the company for the authenticity. I'm still giving this four stars because this location usually performs at that level. I'll re-assess next visit. Things to know: * This location is on a busy corner and shares driveway access with a couple other business - be cautious. * This is one of the very few (maybe the only remaining) Mister Car Wash in The Des Moines metro where you can pay to have your car's interior cleaned.
