Very yum. Food is not cheap, but is tasty and well sized. Good cafe overall, and is nicely designed.

We had to wait a few minutes for our table (a good sign) and alit at the small bar, ordering a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc from a vineyard recommended by the manager (Dogpoint, in Marlborough). We chose a series of small bites and were soon shown to our table; food started arriving rapidly, everything delicious! Bluff oysters and tempura oyster mushrooms; prawn sambal tacos; sticky Vietnamese-style chicken wings; prawn/chili jam salad. Too full for more, other dishes also tempted; a half-chicken satay style, Jamaican bbq fish, and smoked fish croquettes, among others. A solid recommendation, make an effort to come here!

The restaurant is up some stairs in kind of a neat place. We were seated right away and given menus. There was a physical menu handed to us but they also have menus as well as specials written on different chalkboards. Everything sounded so delicious and it was truly hard to narrow down what we wanted. We chose to get several things and split them in order to be able to experience as much of the menu as possible. We started with the pulled pork toast which was delicious. It was a buttery toast with the pulled pork on top. It was similar to a crostini. Next we had fried fish with a salad that had some great ingredients. It tasted like it had olive oil with lime vinaigrette and red pepper alongside an egg. Then we also had the market fish which was kingfish I believe. It was served sashimi style with chili sauce. Last but certainly not least we had fried clams. I was surprised at how amazing these were! To finish off the great meal we ordered the banana donuts for dessert. And WOW is all I can say! They had caramel sauce with chocolate, and were so delicious. Also be sure to try the vietnamese lemonade. The service was fantastic as well. Will definitely be back!

Came in by myself to try, despite only one Yelp review, which was poor. I will either verify that…read moreor disagree. Ordered a Lamb Vindaloo (spicy hot) with a Garlic Naan and Raita. The restaurant is spacious, very clean with fairly comfortable seating. Would easily accommodate large groups. The first bite sets the stage for a good curry and this one was excellent. A good kick straight away. The lamb was tender and I really enjoyed it with the basmati rice and the Raita. I ordered it "Indian hot" so unless you can handle authentic Indian, maybe go for "Kiwi hot". The portion size was quite large so come hungry or be prepared to take a doggy bag home. It was all excellent. My only negative is that they did not come to refill my water when it was empty. Overall very pleased and would come back again.

There's a popular takeaway out front with an inside dining area to the left. The menu was just as you would expect, no real surprises. We ordered the lamb saagwala and chicken biryani, but have to say they were disappointing. Small serves (even though we had not ordered the small option) and both meals, and the accompanying rice, were warm (not piping hot as you would expect). My best guess is they sat for ages in the kitchen before they were delivered. Also we had to ask for cutlery twice before we could start eating. Average dining at best, prob better to get your meals takeaway.

It was small and quiet inside as it was still morning, so the wait staff was all the more attentive and quick to answer any questions we had about the menu. My wife is gluten free, and they were able to accommodate her mushroom toast order with gluten free bread (taste was out of this world, it came with a fried cheese tuile on top that just added so much more savoriness), and my Turkish eggs with halloumi was a light but perfectly satiating plate that had a lot of bold flavors coming from the shakshuka style sauce. Our friends got a seasonal special croissant sandwich as well as their bibimbap plate, and considering they spent the entire time eating and not saying anything I would consider that a resounding "yes this is amazing". They also had an amazing raspberry matcha that was so unbelievably creamy and delicious, I highly recommend trying it with oat milk if that fits your fancy. We were visiting from the US, and the prices I would say are comparable to a First Watch. Reasonable for a nice brunch when you're trying something out in a new city. I'm already planning my next trip out to AUS and NZ, and I know for sure I'm going to make this place a must-stop.
