I came here to Comes and Goes back in November (yes, I know it's June as I write this but seeing as there's not many reviews on yelp I feel like I have to do this place a service by being a more recent review) after hopping off our cruise ship to explore Wellington with my wife and some friends, and this cafe sits in a beautiful area of town that's very homey and feels like you're venturing through a hallmark movie. It was small and quiet inside as it was still morning, so the wait staff was all the more attentive and quick to answer any questions we had about the menu. My wife is gluten free, and they were able to accommodate her mushroom toast order with gluten free bread (taste was out of this world, it came with a fried cheese tuile on top that just added so much more savoriness), and my Turkish eggs with halloumi was a light but perfectly satiating plate that had a lot of bold flavors coming from the shakshuka style sauce. Our friends got a seasonal special croissant sandwich as well as their bibimbap plate, and considering they spent the entire time eating and not saying anything I would consider that a resounding "yes this is amazing". They also had an amazing raspberry matcha that was so unbelievably creamy and delicious, I highly recommend trying it with oat milk if that fits your fancy. We were visiting from the US, and the prices I would say are comparable to a First Watch. Reasonable for a nice brunch when you're trying something out in a new city. I'm already planning my next trip out to AUS and NZ, and I know for sure I'm going to make this place a must-stop. read more
