I came here to Comes and Goes back in November (yes, I know it's June as I write this but seeing as…read morethere's not many reviews on yelp I feel like I have to do this place a service by being a more recent review) after hopping off our cruise ship to explore Wellington with my wife and some friends, and this cafe sits in a beautiful area of town that's very homey and feels like you're venturing through a hallmark movie. It was small and quiet inside as it was still morning, so the wait staff was all the more attentive and quick to answer any questions we had about the menu. My wife is gluten free, and they were able to accommodate her mushroom toast order with gluten free bread (taste was out of this world, it came with a fried cheese tuile on top that just added so much more savoriness), and my Turkish eggs with halloumi was a light but perfectly satiating plate that had a lot of bold flavors coming from the shakshuka style sauce. Our friends got a seasonal special croissant sandwich as well as their bibimbap plate, and considering they spent the entire time eating and not saying anything I would consider that a resounding "yes this is amazing". They also had an amazing raspberry matcha that was so unbelievably creamy and delicious, I highly recommend trying it with oat milk if that fits your fancy. We were visiting from the US, and the prices I would say are comparable to a First Watch. Reasonable for a nice brunch when you're trying something out in a new city. I'm already planning my next trip out to AUS and NZ, and I know for sure I'm going to make this place a must-stop.

The most gorgeous food ever!! I was worried the taste wouldn't match the looks... but it does!! I…read morecannot stop thinking about those Waffles. If you can make a bite with a bit of everything - bacon, cream cheese, berry, chocolate, syrup... omg it's EVERYTHING. I'm salivated just writing this! My only complaint was it was freezing in there! I had to wear my coat the whole meal. My husband also wanted to point out that it was the weakest coffee he had ever had.

Had to wait 10 minutes because they mismade our order. When I got home... they still mismade our…read moreorder. Gave us some gross pork spaghetti thing that neither of us could stomach to eat. They offered to make us what we originally wanted if we drove back. But at 10pm its too much of an inconvenience. To be honest even though it completely ruined my meal. And what i specifically wanted and went there for they just ended up refunding me after i emailed them my bank details and more hastle. We were spending quite a lot of money there ordering 3 meals plus sides. Would have been nice to get some discount or something but didn't happen so instead i just wrote this complaint as the amount of hassle made me wish i had just cooked my own food at home. I go to get take out to avoid hassle after a long days work.

The bruschetta for two remains tasty but not too filling and the spaghetti seafood main I had remains generous with seafood. My wife had the antipasto platter as a main that she enjoyed. Did like their old policy of any wine by the glass but now by the glass is a limited selection. We didn't look at dessert. The service was prompt and responsive. Overall just as experienced many times and will do so again. Recommend a reservation as it is small even with the extra room. Enjoy.
