I would give them zero stars if I could. Their customer service reps are poorly trained and they dispense incorrect/inaccurate information. Silverscript knocked my 1 brand medication off the 2025 formulary and it has been a nightmare of lengthy multiple calls trying to submit a drug authorization request. No transparency or accurate disclosure. 11 days after my initial phone request and still being told no record of the submission and also told by their "senior" resolution team that an authorization request for a subsequent year could not be submitted to my doctor until December, which coincides with the end of the annual enrollment period, effectively preventing an insured/potential insured from knowing whether their medication would be approved until it is too late to seek a different insurer. I'm changing insurance companies. These people do not know what their doing (or else, it is intentional). read more

After listening to all the options re status of prescription order, my question was not addressed. Waited on line until a representative came on. She tells me that the script my doctor called in was not covered. They never notified my doctor or myself that this drug was not covered; just left it up to me to find out. NOT IMPRESSED. When I asked WHY neither of us were notified, the rep "pretended" to hand me over to someone who could help. After I was left on hold for a few minutes, the call was cut off. Somehow, I KNOW THIS WAS THE INTENDED RESULT. If employees are not trained to help customers, then perhaps they need to re-evaluate and retrain their employees so they have the appropriate answers. On another note, when I signed up for SilverScript, I signed up for auto refills. According the status on my other scripts, THIS WAS NOT DONE AT THAT TIME. The Customer 'Care' (joke) is dismal. The telephone queue is set up so that you can't get through to a person and when you think you're finally getting somewhere (on hold); BINGO - DISCONNECTED. I have suffered with this insurance and felt the downward spiral over the past 3 yrs. Now they are part of AETNA PartD? The other trick they pull is THEY CHANGE YOUR PLAN'S FORMULARY AFTER OPEN ENROLLMENT - That's right. You renew under one set of rules and then they change it right after OE so you are stuck for another year. I ended up driving 30 miles to get my eye drops and paying $141 for a 90-day supply. That was my COPAY. read more

My insurance offers no other choice that CareMark/SliverScript as my prescription provider. I have tried to maintain all of my medications as automatic refill and renewal. When a prescription expires, they contact my doctor for a renewal. When my doctor responds, CM/SS assigns it a new code that renews the medication but removes it from automatic refill. I then must contact CM/SS to put my med back on auto refill. I am 82 years old and have done everything I can to make sure my meds arrive on time. There have been times when my meds did not arrive as expected because I did not know initially about this annoying CM/SS policy. Occasionally, I have been without my meds for weeks. I have complained about this repeatedly for more than a year without results. This matter is so serious that I have a reminder in my calendar to phone them every Monday to make sure things are set up correctly. That is made even more difficult because the agents see a different version of my records than what I see when I log into my account on line. This is dangerous. This is healthcare. Think of the very worst customer service you have ever received. I guarantee Silver Script is twice that bad. I am responsible for care of my elderly mother. Silver Script sent her a letter dated 11-24 that cancelled coverage effective 11-30 because her address changed when she moved into assisted living. She has life saving medication Silver Script has already refused to reimburse. Is this even legal? The letter says coverage can be reinstated by calling an 800 number. I have called Silver Script 8 times so far and have been on hold almost 6 hours total. Here is what has happened 7 out of the 8 calls. A person obviously in a call center in India answers the phone. Usually that person will have a thick accent and will be difficult to understand. I have had to spell my Mom's name and provide her information as many as 6 times in one call because the rep literally could not understand English. Lots of time the rep will say the account cannot be found and will try to hang up. If that doesn't happen they will tell me I need to be transferred to a licensed department. I will be on hold for that department 45 minutes, at which time the call will drop or I will be transferred back to India where the process will start all over. This morning I set the alarm for 4 am local time so I could begin calling again. Finally I reached a person who spoke English! Must be nighttime in India. Anyway she was actually very nice and tried to help me. Unfortunately the department that can solve my problem doesn't open for another hour. Maybe you are thinking Silver Script has good prices and that you know how to navigate difficult customer service situations. I actually managed an insurance contact center for many years, and I know every trick in the book to get someone to call me, to escalate a call, etc. I haven't been able to crack this organization. I'm beginning to think this is all a scam devised to get me to pay the prescriptions for December so they don't have to. Well almost time to start watching my life leak away while I wait on hold for Silver Script. Thanks for listening. After being a member for years and having no bad experiences, they suddenly started a deductible. Mine is $ 305/year which I will never meet, They claim they "may have sent me" a notice either in September or December about this. Customer service is horrible. Either the connections are bad or they cannot be understood. I was told today that the medication I take which was appx. $24 three months ago, then raised to appx. $45 will now cost $145. The agent couldn't or wouldn't give me a reasonable answer. When I asked her when and if I ever reach my deductible what would change. She didn't know but said I would get a "discount". read more

She has been trying to get her prescriptions converted to being sent by mail for a month, and quite literally nothing has been done right. At this point, of her 11 prescriptions, they only know about four and are trying to force her to take a 30 day and a 90 day delivery, when she only needs a 90 day. RUN, do not walk, from this company. Complete incompetence. When I got tired of their abuse and asked her for the phone, they HUNG UP ON ME. In the 1st nine months of coverage I have paid $840 including premium and drug costs. Silver script has paid $19.14 . If I could give a negative rating, I would. My mother, who has been a SilverScript customer for years, passed on Jan 6. SilverScript took a payment out of her checking account on January 11. When I saw this withdrawal, I contacted them to close the account and request a refund of the amount that had been charged after she passed. Since this coverage is related to Medicare, I assumed Medicare would have alerted SilverScript, but that was not the case and I learned that the burden was on me to inform them. (How is a family member to know this??) The first time I called, I was told we would get a prorated refund back into her account in 3-5 days, which never posted. I called to follow up and was told that a refund could not be posted back to her account and that a check had been cut and sent, but the agent couldn't tell me the date it was sent, so I asked to speak with a supervisor. That supervisor apologized for the erroneous charge to my mom's account and instructed me to fax a copy of her death certificate, along with several other documents, which I gathered and faxed. In a follow up call today with another supervisor, I was told that everyone was wrong; there is no prorated amount or refund and the others should not have requested a refund. Apparently, if a person is alive on the first of the month, they are billed for the whole month, regardless of the date they die. First of all, I cannot fathom how a deceased person can be charged for services after they've passed. I find it incredibly disappointing that SilverScript only cares about getting their full premium without regard or compassion for their customers or their customers' loved ones who are left to work through the business of closing accounts. Finally, SilverScript customer service needs to get their story straight! This is a hard enough time without dealing with a ridiculous runaround! Way to go, SilverScript! I can't WAIT to switch to another prescription plan, and thank goodness for GoodRX. When I called Customer Service to try to resolve my issue, all I got was 2 different people, from a call center in another country who read from scripts. Not helpful. And this was after being put on hold 3 times. When I was switching plans, I listed my meds, and no mention that one of them was NOT covered. Imagine my surprise when I was told a month's supply was over $100. I think that's unacceptable. I can't change plans until October, to take effect in 2022. If you intend to travel overseas for over 60 days and are taking a Specialty Drug (Tier 5), do NOT even consider using Silverscript. They approve 60 days max. I need 2 drugs for my upcoming trip overseas for 88 days. They have refused more than a 60-day supply. If I do NOT take these 2 drugs, I risk death. They don't care! Told me to go to my physician and beg for samples or beg 30 days from the drugs' manufacturers. Or, I can cancel my trip with my spouse, which will cost me $15,000 at least. I agree with the other one star reviews posted. Several times the company has sent their invoice out too late for me to return it on time. Also, Silver Script billing said they did not receive my payment in January and sent a threatening letter while I had a bank statement showing the check was cashed by them. Trying to resolve the issue I called and was told they'd send an invoice, well it did not arrive so I called again. The first human I got through to spoke clearly but after being transferred to billing I could barely understand the person. However I did hear her make the ridiculous claim that the metrics for my state showed the postal service didn't deliver on time. The website to pay on-line had the wrong month posted for my payment. I don't trust this company with automatic withdrawals and find their prescription coverage lacking. I have a rare primary immune disorder and the drug company fought against me and my specialist throughout the entire denial process. Many use the term "Life-saving" medication lightly but in my case it's the truth. Without Ruxolitinib (Jakafi), my body's immune system will attack my organs till I died. I wasted a year fighting them; In that year, I developed 4 conditions known would occur without medication. Only going to the NIH did I start the process to receiving medication. The world's best research center heavily funded through government grant money. For-profit stifles medical advancement. It's why new antibiotics aren't being designed but instead old versions get over prescribed. Evil does not begin to describe this company. They used the letter of Medicare agreement against me when they needn't not. Medications I am on NOW are not prescribed as indicated and yet I still receive coverage; However, Jakafi costs 35k a month so of course NOW they decided the MedDex mattered. The same polite-sounding pharmacist and Doctor looking over my case attended the Judge Hearing to speak against me. They have also misdirected and lied to my specialist. Seriously, leave this company as soon as possible. Stand clear of CVS and Aetna both. They will leave you out in the cold and to your death to avoid doing what insurance is designed to do: Cover your costs. If you have SilverScript as your part d provider be sure that you don't accidentally miss a premium payment. They will drop you without notice. Then send you a bill for the month you missed. Also usually by the time you pay their premium and copays you could have saved money by just using one of the prescription aps available and paying yourself without their restrictions. read more

Yearning for days when our drug coverage was Express Scripts. However, as retirees, our coverage was switched last year to SilverScript. An ongoing nightmare: last year, when I ran out of a prescription, SilverScript customer service rep said since Silver Script was owned by CVS, I could get a prescription filled there at same price as Silver Script. Instead of $40 copay, I was saddled with $70--and SS denied saying it! Yesterday, on phone for 45 minutes while shunted from one department to another. My mail service order form stated two refills left--but everyone at Silver Script stated I had none left. How do I fill that prescription??? Should be pretty simple. They lied to me twice to keep my business, and the third guy I talked to refused to admit that the first two were either liars or incompetent. I signed up for SilverScript in Nov 2019, and it was fine for 2019. When I called and asked about the changes for 2020, so I could decide if SS was still better than another plan I was considering, they lied to me about the cost of one of my heart meds. Because of that lie, I signed up again for 2020, and when my first refill of the drug in January was $306 instead of the $56 I was expecting, they said it was because of the $250 deductible. OK, that made sense, and again they promised that in February it would only be $56. But - it was $151 !!! So, I called again and was told that the $151 is the correct price and will be for the rest of the year. He also refused to admit the other two lied. Open enrollment is closed, so I'm stuck with SilverScript now, and it will end up costing me an extra $800 for the year over the other plan. I will NEVER use SilverScript again! read more

I had this Part D insurance for a years and it got progressively worse from a price standpoint. Service is fine, but when you can order your prescription from BlinkHealth at 50% price of Silver Script something is terribly wrong. Some medications had 900% price increases. These increases are never announced. You have your doctor fax prescription to CVS and get the price shock at the window when picking it up. Makes no sense that Medicare does not let consumers buy prescriptions from companies like BlinkHealth and forget Part D insurance. We are forced to pay monthly premiums and end going elsewhere to find medications at substantially lowers prices. Here's what really get me upset. Silver Script has a way of knowing and tracking your prescription purchases outside their network. What about a patients privacy? Is this legal? HORRIBLE phone rep' service! First, I endured over 20 min. of "phone tree" questions. NONE fit my need (lost card, need new one). The stupid voice kept saying "I'm sorry we can't help with that" and hanging up. I finally hit "0" and had to wait 10 min. for a rep. The rep does not speak clear English. He kept saying "ma'm" every 3 words. Like "So, ma'm, now I will check you number ma'm. Is that OK with you ma'm?" I told him Right off that I lost my card & need a new one. he asked me 5 times to read the number off my card. I had to keep saying I LOST my card. I need a new one. He asked me to spell my name over 7 times. Over & over (it's an EASY name). He ended up NOT being able to help at all. read more
