He enjoyed himself and said he would return with his friends. $30 for two people, I don't think we actually made it the full hour because of me. They have the front desk woman explain procedure and proper throwing techniques. I didn't have enough strength or rotation in my shoulder to get the ax to stick in the board & was becoming increasingly annoyed with her coming to watch us & critique how I threw. I clearly did not care to be there and the constant critique only added to my annoyance of the choice of venue for our date night. I would have welcomed the help if I wanted it, but it made me feel as if I was belittled and incompetent with the constant babysitting and tips. We were the only ones in there, but was made to make a reservation with an open store.

It is easy to decorate for whatever color theme decided upon as the walls are a neutral white and the have a few black accents. In one corner is a Balloon space (Black balloons - see pictures) perfect for photographing. We found the owner, Emilee, easy to work with and she had answers to every question we asked...from parking to food to photographs to tables & chairs, etc. There is a maximum capacity of 80 persons. The venue is at street level and ADA accessible both for parking and wheel chair access. Parking is in the same block as the event space so it is close. There is no charge for parking. There are mens and womens bathrooms right off of the event space so they are close. We are excited to use this space for our Christmas party in 2026.

I have to give a 5 star rating!!…read more My daughter in law set the appointment with "A Slice of Life Photography" (Kristi) for my grandson's first birthday pictures. My grand daughter joined in on one photo. She wore a dress with Buffalo Plaid and he wore jeans with the Buffalo Plaid being seen through the tears in his little jeans, and his shirt also showing the plaid. Kristi did an amazing job matching the back ground. Decorated with black and red balloons, banner, little tree logs, little pine tree. red lantern and the pancake cake my daughter in law had was perfect. Rustic and ever so cute. When it came to ordering, I was a little nervous. I live in California and wondered how it would all work and how the prints would arrive. Kristi made it so easy. Communicated through email with quick responses back. She emailed me when the prints were sent with the date of expected arrival. She also asked me to email her to make sure they arrived safely and met my expectations. They were beyond my expectations. Beautiful prints and excellent quality. You can't go wrong making your memories with "A Slice of Life Photography" and Kristi is wonderful to work with!
