Such a fun atmosphere! I seriously don't understand how this Arcade bar is rated as low as it is. I came here with my partner during a long weekend trip to visit campus. We spent $20 on drinks and $20 on game tokens and had fun for hours! The line of frozen drinks made me feel like a kid again asking for a 7-11 slurpie! If you check-in on yelp they offer a coupon for $2 off a frozen drink! Parking is a bit tough with it being right off the main center. Either street parking or local parking garage is your best options. read more

BUSTEDball is the proper name of this place. If you like pinball you will be greeted with a graveyard of pinball machines. There are more broken pinball games here than the ones that do work (and many of the working ones stick). Many of the machines at BUSTEDball have not worked FOR MONTHS or I have never seen them working at all! When this place first opened there were twice as many pinball machines and old-school arcade games that worked (see the review below from 3 years ago). If you want to play some great working, clean pinball machines walk down the street to Shakespeare's they have 3 clean working machines that are taken care of. If they malfunction at Shakespeare's they are promptly fixed or swapped out with a working machine. You also get a better deal at Shake's too where $2 gets you 3 credits. If you're looking for a true barcade keep on I-70 and go to a proper one in KC or St.L where there are a plethora of clean working pinball machines and old-school arcade games. The baracrdes in KC and St.L are a better deal too for the amount of play you get for your buck. The servers at BUSTEDball are great though. But if a machine takes your money or doesn't work, the servers cannot give you back your credit. I'm a huge arcade bar fan, so I had to check this place out while in town. The have a big selection of frozen drinks which seem to be so popular in this area. I got a small bomb pop drink for $4 which was more than enough since it's so sweet. I wasn't very impressed with the game selection. There was a decent amount of pinball, but very few other traditional arcade games. This is much more of a Dave & Busters environment if you're ok with that. We got a $10 play card and felt like that was enough before we were bored. I did like the Mario Kart racing though. It just feels like they could do a better job here. read more

I was just at this bar with my daughter and witnessed a young girl who was falling down drunk. She was heavily at risk. She kept asking me if I was sure about paying for her Uber. I called her an Uber on my own dime and the bouncer insisted that I would need to wait in line to get back in to my family- my own young daughter. WTF?!!! I just wanted to ensure that the girl who was a stranger but had had too much arrived at the Uber safely. There was Absolutely no regard or consideration for her safety from the doorman who had been dancing and enjoying himself all night. Columbia. Do Better. That's freakin embarrassing. Boycott. They are seriously anti women safety. read more

I rented out the private room and there was poor communication with the staff. I also wanted to buy more bands and they wouldn't let me. I felt like the managers on duty we're rude and not helpful at all. The only person that did an amazing job was the bartender. read more

We rented a private room and had our work Christmas party here. The slushy drinks were OK - the ladies loved them and the guys stuck more with beer, whiskey, and bourbon. The games work with $1 coins and are 1 or 2 plays for a $1 depending on the game. Some of the games on the lower floor are free because they are really lame old games, the ones we were fascinated with when they first came out ha-ha. We had our party catered so we could feed our guests and the set-up was very nice in the private room. We even had our own bartender on our private bar. No slushies at the private bar though - had to go to the main bar to get those. Service at the main bar was spotty - a ho-hum 3 stars at best...which is the reason for the overall 4 star rating. The bartenders need to spend a little more time serving and less time socializing and ignoring people. It seemed like one or two of them lacked bar tending experience. I suspect this will improve in time. Everything else was fine though. Parking is always tough when school is in. Arrived at 5:50 PM (Friday evening) and there were 5 parking spots left on the top floor of the Hitt Street garage. But what else is new with downtown Columbia. read more

How can an establishment support staff who patronizes their customers and allows their bartenders to call their customers bitches?? That's what I want to know first and foremost. That type of behavior is never acceptable especially within a customer service environment. I have never been in this establishment but have tried purchasing gift cards for relatives. Their Web site stinks. At xmas I finally managed to obtain a gift card. Today when I tried and clicked on the gift card tab, an employment application dropped down. I tried to call at xmas to get help buy no one ever returned my call. I went here with a bunch of friends its opening weekend, and it is a lot of fun. They seemed to still be working out a few kinks. The games are basically all $1 each, because the coin machine just gives you one quarter per dollar you give it--for example, I put in a $20 bill and got back 20 quarters instead of 80. When I asked the bartenders about it, they didn't really have a good answer to give me. But, other than that it seems like a really fun place to hang out with friends. read more

Nice place to grab alcoholic slushees, mixed drinks and shots. It's an adult arcade and chill hang out spot. Usually come here to grab a slushy and leave to walk downtown. Music is loud and atmosphere is great. Would be a great place to chill for a few minutes and grab a drink. I personally love their "Bomb Pop" slushy, tastes just like the popsicle. read more

the bar staff were amazing and super friendly ! i love the stairs when you walk in and just the whole atmosphere. it felt nice to be surrounded by our age group, the music, lights, and arcade were all amazing. we spent hours there when we didn't plan to, later on in the night it got more packed but not uncomfortable kinda packed. it was a refreshing student geared bar, we will definitely be going back !! read more

Huge problem: couldn't play any games because games only take dollar coins and the dollar coin machines were empty. There should be someone onsite who can fix this problem. Hung out for an hour having a drink and still nothing - on a Friday night when they could have been raking in the money. Terrible. read more
