So much fun
David S.

Great venue. Very laid back and a lot of space to hang out, drink and enjoy. I'll definitely be back.

Nice outdoor venue just shy of downtown in the city. We really enjoyed it. Drinks were reasonable and made well. We had a great time.!

The good news is, you can't get lupus from going to Lupus. But you can get some really good…read moredown-home music and friendly vibes from the music playing in the general store. I have only been there once, but sometimes you know it when you see it. And this place is a unique gem. Maybe it's not what you'd call "remodeled" or "passes city codes", but it has withstood the test of time good enough for me, and it seem to have an the kind of unpretentiousness where people there don't use big words or anything. My point is, it's not a place that is summed up in a yelp review very well. You sort of have to go there to see it. Some history of Lupus. In 1993 there was like a 100 or 200 year flood, and the town was under 3 feet of water. They got some FEMA money to raise all the houses up like 10 feet. Literally. So you know you're in the right town when you see houses on stilts. Getting to Lupus is quite a drive, but I would say it's a good destination trip. The general store is the second to last building on the left as you head down main street towards the river. If you get to the railroad crossing, you've gone too far. The last building on the right is the city hall. The town has about 40 people in it. Cover is $7 donation, and there is usually a jam afterwards, so bring you instrument if you so desire. Oh yea, the store is also an antique place, and so if you need a player piano, or a kerosine lamp, this is the place for you. Also, this place gets a spot on my best bathrooms list. Enough said. Here's some of what other say about it: http://www.robinsongs.com/1/post/2010/10/lupus-missouri.html http://www.panoramio.com/photo/73916335 http://marciemcguire.wordpress.com/tag/lupus-general-store/

We were visiting friends in Hannibal and they brought us here for a fun evening. They had live…read moremusic and a strawberry lemonade vodka drink special. They don't have much food, but I think they always have pizza and another special. Tonight they had ribs and corn and beans for $10 and they were very good. The pizza was good despite being frozen, nice thin crust. The pineapple upside down cake shot was also good . There's a nice amount of indoor seating and lots of outdoor seating by their cedars. There's one unisex restroom that is roomy and clean. There's also a pond onsite. Owners are friendly and always around.

It is in a beautiful location with indoor and outdoor seating. They just opened up last year. You can get a free tasting and a free tour. They have a different slushee to try each day if you check out their Facebook page and have about 30 different cocktails to try. They make their own vodka and moonshine. The vodka by the bottle is $40 and the apple pie moon shine is about $25. It is a cute rustic place run by a nice family. Their prices are reasonable and it's a nice place to hang out with a group of friends. They do events and things so check out their Facebook page. Very nice people! Although the only thing they sell for food is pizza. If you're into that. I'm sure they will be expanding their menu and everything else in the future!
