Greek omelet & country fried steak
    Nathalie Q.

Hours: Thursday-Sunday, 7 AM-1 PM. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Heard this place had great reviews and good coffee, so here we are! Silverback Breakfast & Cafe is a small, cozy spot, so expect a little wait outside. The coffee bar is really cool, the service is friendly, and the food is delicious. MUST TRY THE Country fried steak and their different styles of omelette. You're in for a treat coming here! Do not leave without trying the Coffee Surprise, Jungle Java, Spider Monkey, The Momma Back, and The Baboon. A fun breakfast cafe worth checking out.

This place is legit!!! Amazing diner with such a great vibe. The food was fantastic. I got the 2 Stack (2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes, hashbrowns), and the portion was huge for the price. Like everyone says, the staff is super friendly and attentive. Shoutout to Natalia and Joe for the awesome service! I'll definitely be coming back to Silverback Cafe

We thought the meal was going to be small so we ordered an extra waffle.. Great prices and large portions.

Silverback Breakfast & Cafe in Vista is a standout local gem that consistently delivers a high-quality dining experience. As a weekly go-to, it has established itself as a reliable staple for a great meal. The atmosphere is significantly enhanced by the exceptional staff. Joel, a young man on the team, is remarkably cordial; his habit of proactively welcoming guests, even those not seated at his specific tables adds a personalized touch that makes every visit feel more like a community gathering than just a meal. The service is equally impressive, with servers like Valerie consistently providing top-tier care. Her ability to make guests feel special through attentive and professional service ensures a consistently positive experience. Whether you are there for the food or the hospitality, this cafe excels at making its regulars feel truly valued.

Everything here is delicious! Our waitress, Valerie, was super nice and attentive. I love how they have latte flights. Cute decorations on the walls. We had the house hash and eggs benedict. Both were delicious. My fiancé said it was the best hash he has had. Even the orange juice was ridiculous tasty.

Have been here a few times, always delicious. I appreciate that if you have to wait, they take your number and text you when a table is ready. Usually see it at larger places, awesome they do it here. The host was so amazing, explaining about the wait as many parties were sat recently which could result in a longer wait time. Since it was a little cold, we waited in the car, but thankfully the party of 2 before us opted not to wait and we were seated swiftly. Our server Joel was very attentive. The food delicious and plentiful. The atmosphere is very cheerful and the best part is you can hear the other person in your party talk. Will be back again, hopefully soon.

The Carne Asada breakfast burrito must have for all you burrito lovers!

If you are tired of subpar food in north County. LOOK NO FURTHER, the food is amazing (my personal favorite is the carne asada breakfast burrito) the flavor from spot on every time. The consistency is always 100%. And the coffee the best in town. This family owned and ran restaurant is amazing they have definitely built something special. There serves is over the top, it's runs like a well oiled machine they are all very kind from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave they make you feel welcome. And the ambience is cozy and very clean. I can say enough good things about this place. Try it for yourself you will not be disappointed..

    French toast, home fries, bacon
    Stephanie T.

The place is on the side of a strip of stores. I have never seen it in all the years I've lived here. The French toast here was really good. The home fries I felt were seasoned with a lot of Italian and were ok. The bacon was good but not mouth watering good. The staff was overly nice, asking about drinks over and over, not taking no for an answer. But at least he was trying to be helpful and he was always nice. The place has gorillas everywhere, hence the silverback name. A lot of the staff were very fit so I was wondering if having a silverback build was a prerequisite to work here.

We have been coming to Silverback since they opened and have never been disappointed! Friendly people, excellent food and a pleasant, open dining room. They updated the dining room a few months ago, here's a picture. Don't be fooled, it is often very busy. This was taken early on a Monday morning.

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would! The thing that stands out far above anything else is the service. They checked on us many times and were extremely attentive. Friendly, easy going and flexible. There was a large party inside that was extremely loud so they offered to seat us outside which they normally don't have seating for. They were so nice and flexible! And let's not forget to mention the food. Absolutely incredible. My boyfriend and I got the cinnamon roll to start with as well the latte flight and everything was amazing!! Our mains were the south of the border skillet and the farmers benne. Both were 5 stars. Incredible flavor and nothing was over or undercooked. This is my absolutely favorite breakfast spot in the country and I've lived all over in many states. I can't recommend this place enough!

This place is by far one of the best breakfast places in northern San Diego I've been too. The service was great. I totally forgot his name but he was really nice and very knowledgeable about the menu! We had the coffee flight, country fried steak, the chicken and waffles and the star was the cinnamon roll! It's a must have! I love that there is an area for the kids that can color or read a book or play games. The place is a nice clean place. All the food we ordered was sooo good. We will be coming back!

Bannana pudding and biscoff iced lattes.

The service and food were excellent. The only reason I didn't give it a perfect score was because I wasn't a fan of the black bean flavor. However, the banana pudding and biscotti cookie latte were absolutely delicious, and we tried them iced. Overall, everyone was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was great, and the service was top-notch!.

It has changed hands a couple of times over the last 10-15 years. We regularly ate here as part of our Vista rotation for breakfast/lunch, but we had a poor experience a little over a year ago, so this was our first time back to see how things were. I lasted Yelp reviewed in 2018. There still is a small counter for service inside along with four tables for four and one table for two. Six or so outside tables for service also. One table inside occupied and two outside when we entered. We were greeted by a very pleasant wait staff who were extremely helpful and efficient. We had waters, coffee, Tea, very quickly. Coffee was very good with an assortment of creamers to choose from. I ordered a special Omelet with Chorizo and cheese off their chock board. Side of fruit ($2.50 up charge) instead of potatoes along with Rye Toast. The Toast was just one slice of bread. $17. My better half had the pancake combo, two pancakes with two eggs over easy, one sausage patty. $14.50. We enjoyed the food and service. The prices were fair for the portions and quality of what we ordered. We will add Mom's back into our Vista rotation.

I ordered the Mexican Omelet, which was just okay for me. I would have liked the bell peppers to be cooked a little longer, and the dish could have been warmer when it arrived. That said, there were enough positives that I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu. Based on how much my parents enjoyed their food, I think it's worth another visit.

The home fries were excellent - very crispy, fresh, deep-fried chopped potatoes. Didn't have onions or peppers like some other places, but they didn't need them. Poached eggs cooked perfectly. Hash browns were also good. Heard Connie brag about her pancakes to another table and had to try them. So glad we did! Some of the best pancakes we've ever had, might even be the best - crispy edges, super fluffy, tasted good even without syrup. Came with a generous side of butter, and Mrs. Buttersworth syrup was on the table. Look, if you like real maple syrup, I get you, but I grew up with Mrs. Buttersworth and nothing else beats it on pancakes for me. Connie's is a small place. The two of us went on a Friday morning and there were 2 open table inside and 1 outside. If you can, I'd suggest trying it on a weekday.
