OMG, another satisfied customer with Silver Strike Fence. Jesse and his team put up a brand new fence in my backyard after these brutal Northern Nevada winds tore up my old 20 year old fence. Note to self, when you have a 20+ year old fence, it makes more sense to take the recommendation of an expert vs thinking your way is better. Jesse had recommended a brand new fence and at first pass, I wanted to save some money. Wrong decision. The weather always wins if you already have more nails in your old fence that there is wood. I love my new fence and I am ready to take on any upcoming weather. Plus the new wood looks nice. The crew is trustworthy, price is great. Quality is top notch and very quick. Thanks Jesse and team! read more

Silver Strike Fence and Gate Fabrications - Love it! - Fences & Gates Near Me - Minden, Nevada

I hired Silver Strike Fence and Gate Fabrication for a gate installation and paid a $2,750 deposit upfront. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The contractor repeatedly pushed off the project, making promises about when the work would be completed, but never actually started the job. Despite receiving my deposit, no work was ever performed, and I have yet to receive my money back. I expected honesty, professionalism, and accountability. Instead, I was left frustrated and out $2,750. I would strongly encourage anyone considering hiring this company to do their research and be very cautious before paying a deposit. read more

Jesse Diaz, owner of Silver Strike, is known for getting supplies from other fence companies and then saying he will be back to pay them and then not showing up. He is in debt of nearly $5,000 and refuses to pay, and now we are having to proceed into collections and obtain an attorney. He has also been reported to the Nevada Contractor's Board for working without a license. BE AWARE OF JESSE DIAZ with any name he operates under!! read more

Jesse did a great job on two different gate entryways into my back yard. Over the years Jesse has replaced gates for me and has replaced the entire back yard wooden fence around my one acre lot. Jesse is open to a customers input and willing to please. I would recommend him to any one. Lupy read more

I'd like to first say that working with Jesse was good, he always answered my calls or texts, my fence was professionally built and looks fantastic, Jesse custom built gates for both my driveways, they look great and are very secure. Silver Strike was the lowest bidder and I would definitely use them again. The project wasn't completed on time, but the bottom line is that it was built right and adds value to my property. read more

Jesse is an easy person to talk to and work with. When I sent out numerous requests for a price estimate, he was the very first one to call me so responsiveness is not an issue. He listens to your concerns and understands when you have to work within a tight budget. He is flexible and will do his best to make things work. Will definitely recommend to family and friends! read more

Mr. Diaz was convicted today of operating a business without a contractors license. If you are an older person, as we are, be careful. He promises a lot, but does not deliver. If you are uncertain, check with the contractor's board or the Douglas County D.A's office. We pursued restitution and it was very stressful. We did this so hopefully, no other senior would be taken advantage of. Mr. Diaz pleaded guilty to operating his business without a contractors license, He operated under Battle Born Fence and now it is called Silver Strike. Same person. He was sentenced today in court. read more

We just moved into a new house before we had the first windstorm, which caused part of our back fence to bow in and cracked a 4x4 from top to bottom. I knew about having postmaster supports put in from a previous house, so looked for fence contractors on the internet and found Silver Strike, who was also located close by. The owner responded right away and had the postmasters installed the same week. The cost was less than I anticipated, too. Have to say our fence didn't move an inch during all the high winds we had for so many days in Minden around Christmas. I totally recommend Silver Strike! read more

5 stars are not enough; I'd give ten if I could. We called three fence companies for quotes. The two "big name" outfits gave silly-high quotes -- when they finally got around to it. Battle Born was prompt with a reasonable quote. Their crew was efficient, hard-working, and cheerful. The fence is top-flight. Jesse, the owner, gave us unexpectedly personal service. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

I just encountered the best experience with this company. I needed a commercial trash enclosure repaired so I left a voicemail. About an hour later I got a call back. I gave him the service address, and he called me once he got there, told me what the problem was, and fixed it. I would definitely recommend his service. read more

Jesse and his team came out for a quote within a few days and completed our fence addition + gate within 3 weeks. Jessie & his team came right out and completed a fence including custom gate fabrication. Originally I was just going to have him just do the 14' gate but after seeing how quickly he moved and he can weld on site it was a no brainer. Reasonable price, great results and great communication. And now my dogs are safe! read more

Jesse was amazing! Quick response. Gave me several options. Very personable. Will definitely use him again for future projects.

Unfortunately, I am having to retract my previous review. Seems after we had our big wind event in Washoe Valley a couple of weeks ago, my one post got upended by the tree next to it. Called SSF for an estimate to help repair as the was obviously outside a warranty issue. SSF came back with a very high price ($5K) which included the tree removal. When asked for just post resetting, I received nothing from SSF. So, I hired a tree removal company and had the tree removed and found that only, at best, 2 bags of concrete was all that was put to hold the 8' post. Needless to say not nearly enough to support the post and gate. But the tree was the issue. Without any other feedback from SSF for a week plus, I finally decide to re-install the post/gate with most work performed by my wife and daughter. Ended up costing one day's work and 8 bags of concrete. Way less than the $5k originally quoted by SSF. Even with the cost of the tree removal, I saved over $4k and the job was done within 2 weeks. One would think that responsiveness from an installer would be of importance to one's business. Too bad, but I am hard pressed to even consider recommending SSF for any future work to friends/neighbors. read more

He owes me $8,821.00 from a small claims lawsuit awarded me by the Douglas County East Fork Justice Court. He cashed my checks totaling $6,200.00 in October 2022 but never completed the job... just some vertical posts. One excuse after another. Look him up on the Nevada State Contractors Board website - he is unlicensed and wanted for at least three counts under the business "Battle Born Fence". Same person, same address. Be warned! Per the board, "He proffers bids and collects large sums of money and then abandons the projects." Jesse - please pay me back!!' Benjamin read more
