The 3 times my husband has been in this business the manager is erratic, pacing, waving his arms and nervously laughing. The first time we were there he looked at my husband and told him that his sidearm was triggering his PTSD and he needed to close up and go to an appointment. Another time we called to verify they were open arriving 30 minutes later the shop was then closed during posted business hours. Another time to pick up our weed trimmer which the manager said while again oddly laughing that they serviced it but didn't replace the worn feeder assembly which is why it was brought in - not a service. We were charged $150 for a service we didnt authorize and still have to repair the unit. As one with diagnosed PTSD-C, I wouldn't normally publicize someone else's disability however the manager publicly told us within the buisness walls that he suffers from PTSD and other conditions, his nonsensical rambling, body movements, uncontrollable laughing makes for a very unsafe customer environment and I feel its important that someone speaks out before something bad happens. We won't be going back here.

The woman helping in the shoe department was extremely helpful and friendly, and guided me to the appropriate pair of sandals. It's been a year so she made a positive lasting impression. This year I picked up a hat with good coverage for my son's. Along with some souvenirs, my son wanted to bring home for his friends (Truckee stickers). Besides my positive experience, the store seems to have just about everything from grills, too fishing gear amongst other things that you would carry an Ace Hardware store. I looked on Yelp to try to locate another repair shop and came across good reviews for True Value on Missouri Flat. He was pleasantly surprised when he walked into True Value today with his chainsaw and Joe, knowing we didn't but it there, fixed it on the spot for FREE! My husband offered to pay but Joe said, "really, no charge". We will be making our future purchases from True Value!

Tried it out and instantly realized it was the wrong head for my whacker. Took it back the same day, with the receipt, and found the correct size head on a side aisle. Tried to return the wrong head and buy the more expensive correct head, but they would not let me return the wrong size head because it was used for 60 seconds. You can argue that I should have made sure it was the correct size, but the big box stores don't care if you use a product that does not work out. And True Value's prices are high enough that they should be willing to absorb the cost of my barely-used whacker head since I was obviously buying a more expensive head. I will not shop here ever again. Their return policy stinks.

Treated me with respect and concern over the MS880 Stihl chainsaw I was having difficulties with. No fire at the coil with a brand new coil from a reno based dealer ( who would not even listen to my del;imma, just pay and come back in two weeks.) Georges crew member took the saw back and had it running in 10 minutes. as well worth the 2 hour round trip to get great service from some good old country boys! Will do it again for any and all my equipment needs.
