Paula didn't get frustrated with me while I figured out the details for my event. In fact she sent me several cost proposals upon request. I never felt like I was being pressured to make a decision. The company is also tech friendly. We communicated via email and I was able to pay electronically. My daughter and her friends loved the party bus! (The adults loved it too!) This week I did a Christmas lights tour of the NYC area with Silver Star. They were very easy to work with and arrived early. The driver Fernando was excellent. The only thing that was not excellent was the vehicle. I was told we would have 14 captains seats. We had 10 relatively comfortable seats but 4 of my group (including me) had to sit on a less than comfortable bench seat in the very back. If I have been aware of this I would have chartered two vehicles so every one would have been comfortable. I know every pot hole in Brooklyn after riding for 2 hours on that back seat. read more

We had a 45 minute bus ride sitting in traffic and there was no A/C on the bus (we paid for a bus with A/C). The bride's makeup and hair was ruined, there was a baby on the bus overheating and the entire wedding party sweat through their clothes. We texted the company during the event and the bus driver made several calls back to HQ trying to figure out the issue. A few weeks after when we called after the honey moon, they were unwilling to help, apologize or even acknowledge the incident saying we had waited too long and it was busy season and they have no record of the issue. After several more weeks of waiting because we wanted to be reasonable during "busy season", they denied that the issue existed, meanwhile we have 20 guests and a bus driver who will never forget the terrible experience. Silverstar Limo and our driver Miguel absolutely were a joy to work with and I would recommend them whole heartedly to anyone who is looking for a snazzy ride paired with impecable service. After much deliberation and research for wedding transportation, we went with Silverstar because we thought they had the best looking fleet of vehicles and also exactly fit the size we needed... little did we know we were also going to be signing up for such amazing service. Miguel went above and beyond and provided us with a safe, comfortable, ride - and basically also became an integral part of our wedding entourage! There were 35 mile per hour winds on our wedding day - not only did our original "outdoor photo" plans change, we ended up having to spend a lot more time in the limo than planned. Miguel was completely accomodating and drove us everywhere we wanted - he arrived early for pickup, was on standby the entire time, and always showed up exactly when needed. He also waited outside for us in the crazy cold and wind, ready to open the door and help us into the limo! When I decided I needed to use the bathroom while in my massive wedding gown with the wedding party already in the church (I was nervous!), Miguel offered to drive me around to find a bathoom so that the guests at the church wouldn't see me in my dress. When I was about to walk into the church, Miguel is the one who straightened out my veil, spread out the train of my dress, and told me reassuring words before walking down the aisle. Basically, Miguel calmed my nerves, helped me look pretty, and made me feel great! When the ceremony was over, who was standing there in the street with a red carpet laid out, bucket of champagne and 2 glasses for the bride and groom? Of course, Miguel! We really thank him for all his help and being such an important part of our wedding day. They were early to all. 2- they were beyond courteous. They were polite, polished and well dressed. 3- they went beyond the call of duty. They fixed my dress, held my bouquet, adjusted and carried my veil and showed my bridesmaids and husband how to do so as well. I arranged for a limo for my wedding day through Silver Star and the process was truly seamless. The woman who scheduled everything for me was very helpful and professional and our driver, Murray, was great. Not only was he early to pick us up and very friendly, he even came into the back of the church and held the door open for me and my dad when we made that walk down the aisle! This car service provided a large amount of undue stress on my wedding day. I will start with the good points: 1. Punctuality 2. Clean cars Now for the cons of this service...it really came down to the vintage 1950s Rolls Royce that I had ordered (to the tune of $500) as a surprise for my husband-to-be to transport us from the church ceremony to the reception. The driver was confused as to how to get to the ceremony from the hotel, for starters (a 6-minute drive) and had no GPS nor did he have directions. Being from the area, my mother and I told him how to get there, but he was hard of hearing (and there was a language barrier) making for a choppy ride but we got to the church in one piece. Getting FROM the church was a different story. The plan was for my parents, husband and I to be taken to my parents' house (about a 5-minute drive) from the ceremony for pictures, then for my husband and I to be taken to the reception (about 25 minutes away) after the pictures were finished. We never made it to the second leg of this drive in the Rolls... On the way from the church to my parents' house (again, a 5-minute drive), the driver ran a red light and passed a driver (who was patiently waiting to make a left turn) on the left side in a big intersection, almost getting hit by oncoming traffic and almost causing multiple accidents. Once we got to my parents' house, we decided that we were in no way taking this car (did I mention the lack of seat belts? I know it was a vintage car, but come on...) so my mother called Silver Star, who said they could not provide a replacement on such short notice, nor could they provide us a refund (since they had already paid the driver) but they could send us one of the stretch limo Town Cars (that had taken our bridal party to the reception) to pick us up. The ride in the limo was pleasant enough (though we were still so rattled from our prior trip). We ended up getting a voucher for a free trip to the airport in the future, though did not receive a refund. I suppose that for limos the company is fair enough to use, but do NOT try to book a specialty car...especially not on your wedding day. read more

We used Silver Star for our wedding and they were great! The drivers were all super nice and went out of their way to do whatever we needed. One of the driver stayed with me before walking into the church and even held my bouquet for me until it was time. He then fixed the back of my dress before I walked in. I was not expecting that at all. I thought they would just drive and that's it. While I was in the car with my dad I said to my dad that I was annoyed that people weren't in the church yet. I was the groom for our limo rental and I (and the entire wedding party) couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. Our driver was Ronny and he honestly made the experience so enjoyable and pleasant. Fantastic personality and was making us all laugh - just an all around fun and nice guy. The limo itself was fantastic - we got the Chevy 18 passenger and it fit our wedding party of 16 comfortably. There were no bumps or issues along the way and the staff was always responsive and flexible with our plan changes etc. The day before the wedding, they called to offer a free upgrade to the bridal car and it was fabulous. My experience was pretty much terrible and a token offer was only made to remedy the situation. The limo they sent had no working air conditioning for the passengers for a wedding. The music went in and out. Worse it was one of the hottest days of the year. Even worse we got stuck in a 1 1/2 hour traffic jam and windows were not available. The ice was melted and so on. we survived the trip but the response from Management not to make a reasonable refund for providing such a horrible product was the worst insult. The driver, Mike, was 10 minutes earlier than expected and really treated our group of twenty-five 21-29-year-olds with respect and understanding (and believe me, some of these people were out of control). Last night my daughter and 9 friends went to the prom in the city, the driver Keith and the contact person Freddy were superior. Keith made sure that at each stop all of the young people were dry by holding an unbrella also he asked the club what time to be back to pick them up. He also made sure that he had each one in the limo. He also stay nearby in case they need him. Since I was nerve about the city Keith kept me updated so that I could up date the other parents. I searched and searched for months for a Good limo company for my birthday event that took place 3/14/15. I even came close to getting duped by a compnay that come to find out was famous for bait and switches. Anyway desperate searches led me here and even with uncertainty I decided to take a leap of faith since they were the only company that had a Facebook page with pictures of their party bus fleet, actual video and information posted which was also actually on their website - No photo shopped generic pictures like most of these companies use. I called this place, they gave me all the information I needed. I dealt with Paula and Lori whom were sweet as pie! They never got annoyed with all my calls and questions. I always got a quick response from them when I emailed. If they were ever too busy to answer me via email they gave me a quick call to provide the rundown on all my concerns. I was able to pay the entire balance quickly via fax with confirmation of ID, credit card info and address. Customer service was beyond ten stars! There was ZERO hidden fee's, their contract was upfront and very clear. I love how Paula took care to make sure that no one under 21 would be on the bus and I'll elaborate on that later. I booked the 38 passenger party bus - much larger than I planned on booking but their rates was so fair I couldn't resist stepping my rental up from about a 30 passenger bus to the 38 passenger. The day after payment I was emailed my full itinerary that I laid out with Paula. She took care to type up every detail and even made sure I signed off and confirmed my nights plans. I was excited that this process was going so smooth. For me it was too damn good to be true and although I shouldnt be a negative nancy I was expecting something like a one-eyed smoking pirate for a driver or something. Boy was I wrong! The night of the event comes around and the driver comes on time, 9pm on the dot! I live close to the road so I hear the bus turning on my street so I decide to just go outside, as I'm leaving my driver calls and said that he is outside and ready to roll when I am. I get outside to be greeted by a well polished monster party bus that was so damn fabulous I had to pinch myself! Immediately my driver Fernando comes out, introduces himself and wishes me a very happy birthday. I had drinks, plates, and balloons since the back of the bus had two fancy wood tables, he helped us on with our items and even made jokes that she needs to party with us which I love cause already he was humorous. We got delayed about 15 because the caterer ran late with my cupcakes but Fernando waited patiently and said it was MY NIGHT and we will wait for my cupcakes as long as we need to and he will get us to our dinner reservation on time either way (which was stop 1 on the itinerary) AND FERNANDO DID GET US THERE ON TIME. He was the best driver. We got to the restaurateur which seemed to had over booked immediately he threw suggestions for places to eat. Our fallout plan was set in motion and he got us to our alternative dinner place in 20 minutes. Whenever we had to stop, he parked on the same block so we can get back on the bus quick. If parking rules said no parking of trucks/buses he let us know why he couldn't park a certain place, let us get off the bus and parked where he could. Calling for him was as simple as a text message or call. The night was a hit! One of my guest asked him if there was a stripper pole on board and he said "sorry all I have is an umbrella" and handed it to him & my guest improvised. lol Even Fernando was cracking up. It was so much fun, I can rave about it for hours. The best thing was that even though the contract said only water, cups and ice would be stocked there was champagne as well witch made since to ask about the age group on the bus. That was a super surprise and it was a lovely birthday gesture. Fernando made sure I took my Birthday Champagne home and dropped my guest and I back to my home even though my guest boarded in Manhattan. I loved the party bus, I loved my driver and we really got to someone get aquainted with him the duration of the trip. You book with this company you would not be disappointed. When we wanted to extend an extra hour, I asked if he would be too tired to drive around some more, Fernando said "No problem, Im here for whatever you want to do Birthday Girl, I will be fine" He even made time to drop my best friend to her car since she did park in the city and he took the rest of us to my place. I WILL NEVER BOOK WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY, I DOUBT ANY OTHER COMPANY COULD BEAT THE SUPERSTAR TREATMENT THEY ROLLED OUT FOR MY PARTY OF 28 AND I. 5 STARS IS AN INSULT THEY ARE 10+ STARS. read more

We absolutely loved using Silverstar for our wedding event. We initially contracted for more vehicles but as our RSVPs came in we realized we would not need as many vehicles for our event. Silverstar was able to accommodate our change in plans so easily! Paula made sure every need was met and understand how to work within our budget. She did not try to give us more than exactly what we needed and it worked so perfectly. We used a limousine to bring the bridal party to the venue and it was so surprising to see champagne on ice waiting for us! We had a large coach bus for about 40 or so guests; our guests are still talking about how amazing the bus ride home was and how nice it was to not worry about transportation. BEWARE! We hired Silver Star Limo for our wedding in May 2013. Although very detailed instructions were given as to the services contracted and directions to follow, this didn't occur, causing delays in the wedding from the onset and the groom and bridal party having to get extremely upset. The day after our wedding it was reported to Silver Star but no one responded. Upon returning from honeymoon we contacted Mario, one of the owners, who besides being rude, just flat out was unprofessional, refused to sort the matter, denied having done anything incorrectly and worse yet blamed our wedding planner. He also promised to email the GPS tracking report. which nearly three months later we still haven't received after at least 15 follow ups. Our wedding planner even reached out to Mario right away to clear the matter. Mario promised her (Tamra Sanford from Ever Swoon) to straighten it out and over a month later (almost 3 months after our wedding next week) is still not sorted. We have sent over 15 emails and nearly 10 phone calls (leaving messages with Mario's assistant). We wouldn't recommend this company for any type of service. They are great at taking your money but not at taking responsibility of their actions on your big day. We had paid IN FULL all services back in January 2013 although wedding was in May yet they don't have the decency or professionalism to take responsibility for not following what they were asked to do our your big day. Brides- think twice before hiring for your wedding. BEWARE. You don't want your wedding to start on the wrong foot. This company doesn't have your back. read more

Horrible experience on the "NYC Private Holiday Lights Tour". I wrote to the company after my experience, and since no one there could take the time to reply, Melissa, I am leaving my comment here. This company and trip is not for anyone with a disability. I asked the company to bring a step stool so I could easily get into the SUV and was told the vehicle has a built in step. It does not!!! I am partially paralized, so my son had to hoist me into the vehicle and I was injured in the process, not to mention being embarrassed. Then I asked the driver for something to drink, as my voucher mentioned beverages, and he told me he had nothing, not even bottled water, and this was a $400 trip. We were frustrated and ended our trip early in order to get something to drink, and not have to struggle to get back into the vehicle. Frustrating and expensive and very poor customer service, or they simply do not care about the disabled. read more

Zero Stars!!! Silver star called me 1 month before my wedding to tell me that they accidentally double booked my car. They blamed it on two contracts stuck together.
