I was really hungry, this hit the spot.

I had more expectations. Also need to give customers sugar with their coffee after asking. Average.

This is a classic diner and the service is top notch. Very diverse menu - almost everything you can think of.

Ambiance (3/5): Your common neighborhood diner. We were the only ones dining at the establishment around 10pm and granted we were a bit loose from drinking that night... Service (5/5): Since we were the only patrons, the waiter was quick to get us anything we needed Food (5/5): I ordered the Rueben and asked for my fries cooked well-done--and they were indeed cooked to have an outer crispy bite!! The Rueben also hit the spot for me. Would come again.

Great Service. We only got dessert so it's hard to say but the dessert was mid. The Bellini hit the spot though. The decor was not the greatest kind of reminded me of a cheap cafe.

Overpriced. Truly overpriced. In what world should chicken fingers and fries cost 25$. Make it make sense, please. I should've expected as such because it's located in the UES, but my goodness I am never going here again.

Passover Feast As if fated, last summer, I discovered the best care for my illness and the soothing restaurant nearby--the Silver Star Restaurant. When I returned to the Silver Star recently, the manager handed me a printed menu. It said,"Happy Passover!" Following that, it read,"Today's Special Includes: Cup of Matzoh Ball Soup or Salad, Potato Pancake, Tszimes, Complimentary Glass of Manchewitz Wine and Holiday Special Cake" The offer came with three choices of entrees. They were all tempting. With the suggestion from the young waiter Carlos, I settled on broiled salmon. I had my usual seat next to the glass wall overlooking a busy avenue. The historic spacious corner restaurant was quiet and sun filled. Before long, the waiter in black with a pink tie reappeared. He brought me the unexpected, for the sweet wine and colorful salad were only the prelude for the second course. The salmon was for a family! It was several times the size of a regular serving in any restaurant. It was accompanied by two side dishes. And of course, it tasted as it looked. It was fresh, crispy and tender inside. I applauded such delicate touch. Sipping the deep red wine, I was touched by the graciousness of Passover. I felt joy.

The food here is alright, nothing special. It's located in the Upper East Side and was remodeled not long ago. I've been here a few times, its hit or miss. The wait time the other day was really excessive. I feel the service here was not as good as I had hoped. Not sure if I'll continue to come back to this location

I live in the neighborhood 201 E66st. I eat in and do delivery. Good food, friendly service and comfortable atmosphere.

Its a diner food what more can I say? Not what I was expecting from a diner on the east side but my son left very happy so that is a win.

I ordered the Kale Chicken Caesar Salad, which comes with grilled chicken, kale, Caesar dressing, croutons, Parmesan cheese, and a huge piece of buttered bread. I also added grilled steak cooked medium because apparently one protein wasn't enough for me. Both the chicken and steak were flavorful, and the steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it. The salad was filling enough to feel like an actual meal rather than just something light. I also ordered the Strawberry Margarita, which was only $10 thanks to their all day, everyday margarita special. And listen, they are NOT playing with that margarita. It was strong but still tasted really good, which is exactly the balance I want from a cocktail. I ate alone and really liked the seating setup. I had a cute little booth that felt perfect for a solo diner, but it would work just as well for two people. The restaurant also has plenty of seating for larger groups, so it seems like an easy choice whether you're eating alone or coming with friends or family. The servers were attentive to me and assisted me quickly. They also checked in on me multiple times. The interior was another highlight. There's a beautiful wall covered with different pieces of artwork that adds a lot of character to the restaurant and makes the space feel much more visually interesting than your typical diner. Overall, this was a great quick meal while I was out running errands. Good food, a surprisingly strong $10 margarita, and a comfortable atmosphere for dining solo. I'd definitely stop in again when I'm in the area.

Do not show up here without a reservation, as it is very popular! The interior is your typical diner vibe. We loved seeing the pastries on display in the case while we queued for the table to be ready. I had the avocado salad with chicken, and my mom opted for the salted caramel waffle and hash browns. Everything was delicious and huge portions. Our waitress was very slow and didn't check on us much at all, but the great food made up for it. Make sure to stop by here with a reservation!

The food here is expensive and overpriced for diner food, but you're in Times Square and this is a known tourist trap, so if you go in with the right expectations, you'll have a good time. I got the Be Bop a Lula Burger which came with mushrooms, onions, and bacon and it was a solid burger. I also really liked how crunchy the waffle fries were. Would I normally pay nearly $30 for a burger? No. But I came here to hear the talented singers perform Broadway songs so I just chose an entree for the sake of it. The Sunset Swan Song mocktail was refreshing. They are quick with service which I appreciated. I waited 45 minutes on line outside on a Saturday evening, but it doesn't really matter what your spot in line is. You get seated based on party size!

They sang a handful of songs during our time there but there was definitely a long gap between them (to be fair, it was like 8am) The food was good, not AMAZING but it was pretty good. It was a little pricey, but not terrible. They came by with a bucket asking for tips for the staff to be able to take lessons/classes, but just be prepared they were VERY pressure-y with it. This is separate from the tips from your order. I think this was a good experience to go once, but probably wouldn't come back again unless I had friends visiting from out of town that wanted to go!

Fast forward to 2026 (where I'm finally not broke as hell), the day has finally come, and I am ecstatic about stepping foot into this diner that surprisingly is still standing in 2026. The inside certainly feels like a diner, but not quite the old-school dinginess that I'm used to--it's clean. Given that it was Sunday at noon, it was very crowded in there and mainly flooded with tourist groups, but a table opened up for us pretty quickly. For a NYC diner, the menu is certainly small - this is probably done to keep tables moving faster. I got the Pastrami Hash & Eggs and it was just overdone and super oily and dry--almost as if they just refried everything except the sunnyside egg. Not gonna lie, I was very disappointed, given that I had waited for so long to come here, only to get food that was an attempt to give the staleness another chance by refrying and reheating. I actually beat myself up a little the rest of the day for finishing the whole thing, knowing that the oversaltiness was flirting with opening up some high blood pressure. It was also not moderately priced by any means (was close to $30), but I know I'm helping pay for that Midtown and proximity to Central Park pricing. Not sure if I'll return, which saddens me, but also knowing that they're part of a conglomerate at Fireman Group (and still run independently in a sense) makes total sense
