I've been shopping at this store for many years. I've had a few minor problems with them over the…read moreyears--nothing too serious, just minor mistakes with a few video game purchases I've made. Nothing that made me stop shopping there or write a negative review at the time. However, I went in there the other day to look around, and I ended up spotting a Virtual Boy for $400, which is pretty expensive. But I recently received $400 for my birthday, so I figured what the heck and bit the bullet and purchased the system, as it was the only Nintendo system I currently didn't own at the time. The employee even let me briefly try it out, and it seemed to work well, so I bought it. After I got home, I set it up in order to fully test and try it out. However, while testing it, I realized that the right lens only shows a distorted image. However, this is only noticeable when you have your left eye closed. I tried to call the store immediately, but unfortunately they had already closed for the day. So the next day, I called at work and explained the problem with the console that they had sold me. The woman on the phone sounded very understanding and told me to bring it back, as they had a worker there who does repairs. So after work, I drove home, packed up the Virtual Boy, and headed back to the store. I even called and told them that I was on the way, and I was told, "Okay, we'll look at it when you come in." When I arrived, the repair guy plugged the console in and said, "Yeah, I see it's not working. However, there's nothing I can do." Then he called the employee that had sold me the console the previous day, and I explained the situation for a fourth time while the "Repair" guy called the owner. The employee who sold me the unit initially offered me to trade it back into the store, as they would not let me return the unit. I told him no because "I WOULD JUST BE GIVING THEM FREE MONEY AT THAT POINT" The "Repair" guy returned and told me that I have to get it repaired somewhere else, as he can only do basic repairs like battery swaps on cartridges. THAT WOULVE BEEN GREAT TO KNOW THE 2 TIMES I CALLED BEFORE I HEADED TO THE STORE. Anyway, the employee that sold me the unit also got on the phone with the owner and explained the situation. After he was done talking to his boss, he told me, "They can't give me a refund, not even a partial refund, and I couldn't trade it in because it's damaged." I then again explained that they SOLD ME THE UNIT DEFECTIVE BUT YOU CAN ONLY NOTICE IT WHEN YOU CLOSE YOUR LEFT EYE. They both just kept saying that they "tested it" with all the employees and none of them noticed any issues with the unit. Then the guy who sold me the broken unit low-key started blaming me for the damage, saying that "I could have damaged it on the way home yesterday, as the console is very fragile." And I'm just standing there thinking to myself, "No way he genuinely said something so RETARDED. He gotta be rage baiting. If a simple car ride is enough to damage the unit, would it not make sense that the person that drove to the store to originally trade the unit in to them damaged it? Therefore, it was already damaged before I purchased it." He then told me "that there's not much they could do," which is pretty much the nice way of saying "piss off." I then asked, "Since you can't do much, what can you do?" and he replied by saying, "What do you want?" I asked if I could get a discount on the item or a partial refund, as $400 is a lot of money to pay for a defective item. He told me "no," so I asked again, "What can you do then?" and he replied with "pretty much nothing." The employee's rage bait is starting to work and is genuinely pissing me off at this point, so I replied, "Why would you say there's not much you can do if you can't do nothing at all?" WHY EVEN TELL ME TO BRING THE UNIT BACK IN IF YOU CAN LITERALLY DO NOTHING DESPITE BEING INFORMED OF THE PROBLEM WITH THE UNIT TWICE BEFORE I EVEN GOT THERE. In the end the "Repair" guy clearly wanted me gone so he begrudgingly filled out a punch card and handed it to me 15% off my next purchase pretty much saying next time you come in you can pay less to get scammed

If you ever get a chance to talk to him it's like talking to a Professor of Comics and Marvel World. This guy has an encyclopedic knowledge of all things Comic books. Back in the days when it was uncool to be a nerd....yes once upon a time we had to sit at the lunch table all by ourselves actually we still do....this was a place where you could meet like minds. (BTW I just want to say just because you watch The Big Bang Theory doesn't mean you're part of the club...you gotta know the difference between an AT-AT and an AT-ST... and the password to join is how many Stargate are on Earth?..... Here on a typical day you will meet someone that can curse in Klingon and watch Bob Ross videos on youtube....and if it's geekdom you've come to worship then come it's the one to rule them all.... Dr No's has got all your geekdom in one place so don't have a hernia when you get here. He's got your Marvel geekdom, your Startrek geekdom, your Star wars geekdom (divided into of course the purist vs. the prequels vs. the Disney versions aka expanded universe...) Doctor Who geekdom (quickly name all 13 Doctor Whos...) Japanese Manga geekdom (too many and too hard to spell...all those damn vowels) Buffy the Vampire geekdom, Firefly and all of Joss Wheaton's entire repertoire....I think I may of spied a Benedict Cumberbatch poster somewhere.....there are board games and puzzles galore...and Magic the gathering...I still don't get how to play this game...anyway Dr. No has them all..... So next time you have a few hours to kill...you definitely wanna give yourself a good 6 hours and don't worry the staff won't throw you out...they're super cool and super nice....you have to head on down here....

Great comic book store with lots of manga, funko pops, figurines and more! I enjoyed this location.read more

Lots of toys, stuffies, and blind boxes for my little girl to get excited about. The trains in the front caught her attention and the many statues throughout the store she loved too. My wife had a good time helping me look at Gundam models and paints for my Warhammer army. We spent a good amount of time in the gaming room getting her some sleeves for her cards and checking out the books, figures, and tables set up for gaming. Ended up getting a few things and was an easy process. I think for the price of everything we got a good value cause we could have easily gotten everything online but I think part of what makes this place amazing is the passion the staff has for the hobbies, the amount of options they carry, and then if they don't have something you want (Warhammer stuff is what I was looking for) they will order it for you. We will for sure be back again cause I know I'll need more paints and I have my eye on a few models I saw in the Gundam/anime section.

I've never seriously collected coins but, since I was a kid have put together an informal collection. However, over the last few years, I've sold some and bought no new ones. As I entered the small store I was immediately hit with a buzz of goings-on. There were three older men behind the counters talking with customers as well as a lady and two other gentlemen. The place felt alive. I've been in a few coin shops in my life but, they are never busy like this, so I found it stimulating. I briefly browsed around the perimeter before turning my attention to the main display cases holding the coin inventory. I walked up to a display case and looked down at the coins there. To my amazement, the first coin that caught my gaze was dated 1838! OMG! This Is where I digress to fill in the blanks. The reason I had come to Marietta Georgia was in search of a wiff of ancestral essence from the early 1800s when my family came here. I had found out that my great grandfather Xs 3 had been elected the 4th Sheriff in 1838. Hence my astonishment when the first coin I glanced at was 1838! Of course, I bought it. I can take a hint from the universe and this was just over the top synchronistic... The shop owner was very friendly and professional and even helped me out by directing me to some other resources regarding my family. I would say If you are in town and collect coins you certainly want to stop in here. Go!
