We had our wedding reception here. Absolutely gorgeous farm and fantastic price for wedding receptions. The deal was that the owner set up the tables and chairs (to our liking) and we had to take care of everything else. He was an absolute gem to deal with until wedding day. I was told by him that the night before our wedding, if there was a wedding going on, I could use the side door to put some supplies in the back room for the following day. He went back on what he said, so I had to leave a car full of supplies unattended at the farm the night before. Not really a big deal, but a little bit annoying that he went back on what he said. Wedding day came and the first text I get from him was if we were having the ceremony at the farm. There was no mention of that, so I was kind of confused where that question came from, let alone why he was asking someone on their wedding day if they were in fact having the actual wedding there. Two hours later, our wedding planner sent me a picture of the set up, which was nothing like the owner and I had talked about. Again not a big deal as this was an easy fix, but annoying on wedding day. The kicker came after the reception. We were told we had until the next day at 11 AM to have everything cleaned up. However, at the end of the reception Saturday night, the owner stormed in and demanded we clean everything up before we left for the night. I was pretty mortified watching my guests clean up their own tables. Needless to say it was kind of a disaster watching people pile as much as they could into random cars. During this whole process, he sat on the couch in the barn, on his phone, and didn't offer to lend a helping hand. He also helped himself to our alcohol and food and didn't say one word to my husband or me. Future brides beware. The contract was not very specific so I had no ground to stand on and was kind of at his mercy. Again beautiful barn and a great price but you have to ask yourself if it's worth dealing with a mean, scatter brained owner. read more
