Wow! I love this place. They had everything you can think of.. crystals, sage, polished, unpolished quartz, cards and sculptures. Their prices seem fair compared to other places I have been to in California. Unfortunately it is a bit of drive for me since shamanism....new age shops aren't hip in my area (boo!). Do not buy jewelry from this store. Their jewelry is poorly constructed, and the gems used are of the cheapest variety. Silver Pyramid does not guarantee it's gemstones or jewelry, which essentially makes it over-priced, costume baubles. Silver Pyramid describes itself as "mysterious, enlightening, artful, and spiritual" while passing off cheap, poorly constructed jewelry as some kind of healing and spiritual experience with the same zest Miss Cleo used to hawk fortune telling. They are complete frauds. In reality, if you buy a product from Silver Pyramid and it breaks and or chips within a matter of hours - they will not take it back. Period. I was gifted an Opal ring from this store ten days ago. I noticed that the Opal used was very thin, and there appeared to be a slender gap between the flake and the uplifted border of the setting. Today I noticed the Opal was chipped. The first thing I do is run through my head everything I have done: did I bang my hand on something? Use some type of damaging product? (FYI - Opals are delicate "soft" gems and Opal rings cannot be submerged in water or touch any kind of cleaning product.) I can't think of anything I have done to cause the chip. I have been painfully careful with this ring. Opals are delicate, and I know this. I called the store to see if I could come in and have the ring repaired or exchanged. Let me remind you I had their product for 10 days. The representative told me they don't take returns, because "once it leaves the store, we can't guarantee what a person has done to it. Someone might think they are being careful, but really aren't. They will come in and say how careful they have been, then their partner says 'well you sleep in it sometimes'. You may not realize what you've done to it." The salesperson focused on the damage being my fault. She assumed I know nothing about Opals and was trying to get a "free" ring. She kept saying, "you think you are being careful, but you don't realize that you are actually not." She basically called me a liar. She was infuriating to speak with. Bottom line about this store: they just want your money. They sell gimcrack under the premise it's magical, just like a snake oil salesmen. What a lovely store! I'm so glad a place like this exists in Dallas. I'm a relative newbie to using crystals and stones for anything other than pretty decoration or jewelry, so please forgive any improper use of terminology here. :) Before I visited last weekend, I looked at the store's website; it contains a very helpful appendix of the "energy" associated with a wide variety of crystals, so I took copious notes beforehand to help guide my search. I would've been fine if I had gone in without it though -- everyone working at the store was incredibly knowledgeable about their extensive selection, as well as welcoming to all who visited. I prefer to browse and explore independently, which was totally fine (no pushy salespeople here), but I couldn't help eavesdropping on some of the other customers' conversations as I took my time making my selections. One was clearly a store regular who talked enthusiastically about OBEs and other mystical experiences; another was a first-timer looking for guidance to a specific question, etc. As I said, it seems like a place where most anyone interested in crystals / spirituality will feel comfortable and at home, even if you're not as well-versed in the history and philosophy as some others might be. Maybe 5 or 6 people came in and out of the store while I was there on a Saturday afternoon, which was perfect; it wasn't crowded or hectic, but I also didn't have to worry about that sometimes-awkward "only shopper" feeling. In addition to its excellent crystal/stone collections, the store also offers a small but well-curated selection of books, incense, cleansing bowls, and other such items. Since I had already settled on buying more crystals than originally planned, I managed to resist any additional impulse purchases. :) They lovingly wrapped up my new little crystal friends for me, offered me some insight as to how I might use them and resources to learn more (thank you for the help!), and I was on my way feeling infinitely more peaceful and positive than I had when I entered. The shop is small, but it's intimate and everyone who works there is very knowledgeable about the crystals and how to use them. There is an area when you walk in for chakra specific crystals if that's what you're looking for. There's also sage and cleaning components that you can purchase. After searching on yelp for a great holistic/gemstone place near me this place popped up. So glad it did. The staff was really helpful and kind. They have a great selection of rocks, stones etc. I was really impressed with their status of Hindu Gods (in fact I purchased a red soap stone statue of Ganesha)...They had incense and jewelry...pretty much whatever I was hoping for they had. I wandered in, expecting to find a hyper-new age store packed with expensive crystals and a lot of BS (that was the impression I got from scanning some of the other reviews) - my expectations were way off! The store has fancier gift items including jewelry, small statues and figurines, and spiritual home decor, as well as oils, loose polished stones, and herbs. There are also some books, specialty candles, and spell "kits." The herb selection was where I spent most of my time - as someone else mentioned, it is pretty small, but I found like seven different herbs I'd been looking for for a long time. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable; the prices were about what I expected. My daughter and I visited several months ago and the minute that I walked in the doors I didn't care for the vibe. Just then a woman walked from the back with a look as if we were interrupting her from something. I began to feel rushed and unwelcomed. I bought a ring here a few months ago. I had it for only 2 months (not even wearing it all the time!) when the stone fell out and today they said they could glue it back in for me for $10. It was a stone that was delicate, should not have gotten wet. They didn't tell me that when I bought it. The stone is worn down, looks like crap now actually. It was over $100. I won't be shopping there ever again, for anything. And I will warn as many people that I can about their poor customer service. ** Oh and then I see they lie in the reply, of course. This is a beautiful store! Welcoming environment and staff! However I do have some criticism I wanted to add, I am someone who is just getting into crystal healing and a store like this is extremely overwhelming with everything that is in there! I really wish on the labels where they put what stone/crystal it is they'd also put the meaning or what it's used for. I'm an anxious person and I don't want to bother the workers with five million questions over how everything works so I figured if it were labeled it'll be a good way for us beginners to find what we need! I have been to this shop a few times and the staff was pretty nice. Unfortunately I am giving a 3 star review for because the last time I went the experience was unpleasant and very uncomfortable. I went in to look at the Tarot and Oracle decks and after telling the lady who I later found out to be the own multiple times that I didn't need her assistance and i would let her know if I needed anything she continued to hover over me and give me rude glances and constantly ask if I needed assistance. I have severe social anxiety and I truly just wanted to look in peace. It's not like I can steal the decks they are locked in a case. I eventually just gave up on trying to find something I actually liked and just told her to give me two random decks just so I could get out of this woman's presence. It's really put me off from ever wanting to visit again. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day or what her issue was but after I told her the first time I didn't need assistance she should have backed off. I felt pressured and like she just wanted to get rid of me. I wasn't rude to her nor did I give any reason for her to act the way she did. The rest of the staff are amazing and super sweet. read more
