To start, the wait staff was very nice, polite, friendly & helpful. I ordered combination lo mein. The shrimp were large but chewy. The noodles were very greasy, with loads of visible oil on the plate, overloaded with what tasted like heavy soy sauce. No other seasoning was detected. It was so super salty that I picked out the proteins which were edible, and left 3/4 of the dish to be trashed. There were a few tiny pieces of cabbage, no other vegetables seen. I eat this dish in Chinese restaurants regularly, and have never had this problem. Panda Express has better flavor. read more

Tried this place yesterday ... been trying to find good Chinese since moving in the area. Some items were really good some not so much. Overall good . Will def give another try. read more

I really enjoy the sweet and sour pork! I buy an order of it and prepare white rice to meal prep. Especially when I get home late from work, this place is open relatively late. I appreciate this restaurant! read more

I've changed my mind back and forth with this place. I love Chinese food and it's nearby and I like to support small businesses. Recently we had ordered the crispy wonton noodles (the ones usually served before your meal) and they were stale, old, and rancid. I wonder how many months they were sitting around for in that unsealed bag. Now my moo goo gai pan had raw chicken in it. Unfortunately, I noticed this once I had already eaten a lot of the food so I'm hoping I don't get sick. This was my last time eating here and I don't recommend anyone ordering from here either. read more

Well here is a place I will never go to. Hubby and I went for lunch at around 2. They are supposed to be opened until 3 and the Open sign was on the door. A small sign said they were taking a break but the door was open. We walked in and the two workers ignored us and ran to a back room. Not good for business. Anywho going to stick to Szechuan Garden on Topanga and Roscoe. Best lunch deal in town where you are not ignored! read more

Warning: Kung Pau chicken we picked up for dinner tonight smelled bad and had an unpleasant taste. We immediately threw it into the compost bin. Notified the restaurant of our concern about other customers eating it. All they were wanted was for us to bring it back from the garbage. My comment was I wasn't bringing my compost bin to them for a lousy refund. They had my credit card info so they could credit that ONE item. This appears too difficult for them to do. I ate only a few pieces so hopefully I won't be going to the ER tomorrow/tonight. Beware of this restaurant. Panda XPress might be a better choice. read more

I ordered fish in black bean sauce and it was delicious! My friend liked her almond chicken as well. Lunch special price is really good and food was just enough to fill me up. It also came with egg drop soup. Our server was very nice and always had a smile on her face. Clean place and plenty of parking space. Will definitely recommend! read more

Food is delicious , was bummed to find out when it was time to order they no longer sell beer or wine. Service can improve , they make you feel a little rushed . Ambience was cozy , toward the end it started to pick up . Overall it was an okay experience . read more

Got takeout Wonton Soup and egg rolls... good stuff. Fast and friendly checkout. Interior looked nice for a sit down meal next time.

Been coming here for several years. I'm way over due for a review. First and foremost the food is fresh and delicious! The service is excellent. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend! read more

We've been here twice. Dine-in and takeout. Both times, food was very good. Pupu Tray has a great assortment. Really liked the fried shrimp and paper-wrapped chicken. Assorted fried rice and lo mein includes a decent amount of protein. We've tried the sesame chicken, orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, Mongolian beef, moo goo gai pan and all were good. Very nice staff. Bright and clean. Perfect spot for Christmas Eve dinner. (They were packed, but service was still quick.) Looking forward to trying more items. read more

Not the best Chinese food I've had but probably one of the best in the valley. The service is always good and the workers are always so nice. Hard to find "good" Chinese food in the valley and this place would be considered "okay" for me read more

My favorite Chinese restaurant to this day! I've been coming to silver panda since I was a kid! Now as an adult I still adore this place and their food. The lemon chicken, beef egg fu young, soup, and rice are my favorites and all so delicious! Just had it again tonight and it was amazing as always! The people working there are always so friendly and helpful. The restaurant is really cute and has a nice vibe. They really deserve support! read more

I ordered food about 5 minutes before opening time. The woman who answered was very friendly and the food was ready when she said it would be. I paid $86 for the whole order. Unfortunately, the quality and portions were absolutely not worth what I paid. Aside from being small portions, the fried rice was hard, the wontons were stale and it was hard to tell if there was meat in it or not (thats how sparse it was) and the bbq pork looked very unappetizing and the taste wasn't much better. It just wasn't good and way too expensive for what we received. Won't be back. read more

The food there is amazing using very traditional methods of cooking food. Plus most of the time no one dines in anymore it's really a shame because everyone there is so nice the waiters will get you everything you need plus it is just a nice spot to take the family. It is not the cheapest place to dine at but the quality of the food is amazing. read more

To be brutally honest I really want to give this place a higher rating just because the little grandma at the register was the sweetest person I ever met. Makes me wish that she was my grandma but alas, the food was to be blunt, bland. Everything seemed fresh and well prepared but literally had no flavor. I didn't even taste MSG! I ordered the kung pao chicken, which looked right but had no aroma whatsoever and was devoid of anything that would normally have taste on its own. Even the dried chilies were flavorless! The hot and sour soup only lived up to the hot part but only in temperature, the mixed chow mien had all sorts of meat like things and vegetables but again nothing to taste! Even the Togo soy sauce which was some panda brand was flavorless. I even threw in a curveball and ordered the fish in black bean sauce and that was, though covered in Chinese black beans, bland. I really wish the food actually tasted like food but it's the weirdest matrix glitch I've ever experienced. Paid a little over $60 for the meal Togo and tipped $10. I really hope that they have their cook try again because the people were so nice. Even the customers were gentle. read more

Best Chinese food!!!! We love coming here when we have a birthday or something to celebrate. The portions are shareable and delicious! The soup is a great place to start the meal. The beef and broccoli and chow mien are my favorites! We also love the fried rice with chicken, shrimp or beef (you can't go wrong)! We are regulars at this point and they workers actually remember some of our names. read more

My Asian mom recommended this place for take out and it was delicious. We got pan fried potstickers (everyone agreed we should double our order on these next time), Mongolian beef, shrimp lo mein, vegetable fried rice, salt and pepper shrimp and sweet and sour chicken. It was a lot of food. There were 7 of us, and we ate it ALL! A few wimpy guests said the shrimp was spicy, but I didn't find it so. And it didn't stop anyone from eating it either. The gentleman on the phone was very professional and easy to understand. We ordered on a Saturday evening and it took about a half hour. Food was hot and fresh when we picked up. Highly recommend. read more

The food here is always cooked fresh. Everytime we've gone in, there's always a sweet lady up front and is super friendly. She helps you choose as well by telling you what's comes in the dish you're looking at. & the inside has LOTS of seating. read more

I can only comment on the take out service because that is all I've done, but the food is DELICIOUS. This is a cute family owned business with plenty of options for all. My favorite is the chicken chow mein and the Beef and Broccoli. They also have a lot of vegetarian options which I was able to get for my some friends of mine. The eggs rolls are to die for. So good! Can't wait to come back! read more

Chinese restaurants come in two types: hole-in-the-wall choke-and-pukes, and classy places. Silver Panda is one of the classy places. The good thing is that it does not have high prices to go with its classiness. Silver Panda is slightly hidden in a large shopping center at the corner of Devonshire and Mason You can see it driving south on Mason. Lots of parking, but it could mean walking quite a distance in the broiling Valley sun. But when you get inside, the cool breeze, comfortable carpet, and nice chairs welcome you to dine. Lunch for me was with a coworker from across the street. She had told me that she discovered the place not long ago, loved it, and thought that this would be a perfect place for a working lunch. I had a shrimp entree, I forget exactly what. It was labeled as spicy, but wasn't as spicy as I was accustomed to. It wasn't so spicy that I couldn't taste the food. Several types of sauce to use on your egg roll. No, I did not eat my broccoli (sorry, Mom). The waiter found the sweet spot between being obtrusive and being nowhere to be found, and he offered very good service. Both of our entrees were under $10. Silver Panda is not likely to stand out as the greatest Szechuan food this side of the Santa Monica Mountains. But it is good and classy, indeed. And if you find yourself near Chatsworth, it should work for a working lunch, romantic date, family gathering, or whatever. read more

My husband and I moved into the West valley from Simi approximately 10 years ago. We had our favorite Chinese restaurant, but it was just a little too far to drive all the time and that's when we found Silver Panda in Chatsworth about eight years ago,. The food is awesome. Always fresh and consistent. If you really want quality Chinese food, they deliver all the time. Recently, I learned that my husband who is a high school football coach, discovered nthat Silver Panda has contributed to our weekly school football team dinners a number of times. Not only is this is so important for our community and welfare of our children and sports program, it goes to show how generous this family business is to our community. If you want great Chinese food on top of knowing that you will support a fabulous local business that supports our own community. Please patronize this business --- You will not be disappointed! Thank you, SILVER PANDA!!!! read more

I love this place after living in Chatsworth for about 15 years I finally stumbled across this place and was hands-down impressed with the service with the quality of food and with the overall experience. This family restaurant is located across from my home and it's always been our 'go to' when we have craving for Chinese food. They treat you as a family and always greet you with a smile. If I could give zero stars I would. This place used to be good, but not anymore. I don't know if it is under new management or what. I ordered the following: BBQ Pork fried rice - It was mushy and flavorless, the worst fried rice I have ever had. Curry Beef - The beef was pretty much raw, and so salty it was inedible. Beef Lowmein - Slimy and flavorless, very very bad. Orange Chicken - This dish actually was not bad. Green Beans - Cooked well, hard to ruin green beans. Cost me over $85.00. What a waste of money, and I felt like crap for the rest of the night after eating some of it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place! Bad, Bad, Bad!!!!! read more

Siver Panda holds a special place in my heart. My family and I have been coming to this restaurant since I was probably 10 or something, for reference I am 27 now! Anyway the food is delicious and I miss dining in the restaurant. They have a tranquil atmosphere where you can enjoy your delicious meal. On top of that, the staff is always friendly and they always provide fantastic service. During the pandemic, we have been ordering take out from time and the food is still delicious even after a 30 min drive. My favorite plate is the kung pao chicken, chicken chow mein, orange chicken, and broccoli beef. Probably best of all, is the savory Wor Wonton Soup, you can't find it's taste anywhere else! read more
