Lady confirmed that they accept our insurance however before proceeding with registering and scheduling appointment they need all his records transferred from previous pediatrics and that it can take up to 2-3 weeks. I did request it and waited almost a month. Now I called again and was asked about insurance type my son has I explained everything and was told that they will register him first and than check if they received the records. Upon checking I was asked about insurance he has and when person heard it is PPO she was very enthusiastic about it. Than I was asked if patient has secondary insurance, And yes he does have medicaid but only through state not through insurance company and person was confused, She asked someone about it and than told me they cannot accept my son as he has medicaid as their panel is full. The tone changed immediately on words : Medicaid. So basically I lost a month on this pediatric office just to tell me after a month that they cannot accept my son as he has Medicaid as secondary insurance. But no one asked me that first time. So if you child has medicaid this people will not accept it plus they will speak with you differently. I can tell this office is all about money only, not the kids and their health. Please, Bedrose Pediatrics, teach your stuff to ask this question first time in a row. Thanks to you guys we lost a month and now late with annual check up. As a result my son is left without a doctor and I will have to start looking for different one. I guess if your child has medicaid or all kids , even if it is secondary and even if you child is with special needs this state does not care, doctors of Illinois do not care they will not accept you. Maybe this office has good doctors but their front desk is letting them down with such behavior.

The office staff seems to be in the upper 1/3 of what I've seen in medical practices- they're all generally nice and they follow through on commitments / get doctors to call back / send forms, etc. The doctors are all pretty good - they encourage rotating docs when you first start so you get to know everyone and then they treat as a practice, not as an individual doctor with their set of patients. As a result, it's a lot easier to get appointments and speak with a doctor. There is one doctor we don't really click with but the rest more than make up for that. The practice does little things that matter - from having extra time for call in hours to producing general OTC drug dosing references for kids that do a better job than label directions at matching dose to weight, etc, this practice is better than others we looked at. In contrast to other reviews, I can't remember me or my wife ever waiting more than a few minutes for a room or to be seen by a doctor once we were in a room -- over five years with two frequently sick kids. Lastly, they've been with us through some tough early years and we felt supported the whole way. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this practice.

However, other practitioners at this office have caused me to look elsewhere for my children's care. I actually should have transfer care a long time ago. In short, they often take a "wait and see" approach instead of investigating what issues are presented. This has caused a lot of stress and has caused me to often look elsewhere to get the care my son needed. The first red flag should have been when my now 2 year old was about 6 weeks old. He had a lot of issues (later diagnosed as GERD, which I learned is extremely common in preemies) and exhibited horrible screaming, crying, vomiting, etc. I talked with one of the nurse practitioners about how little sleep I was getting and what a struggle it was. She told me to let him cry and close the door on him so I could get some sleep. !!!! I am definitely not a proponent of cry-it-out, and the whole suggestion seemed so wrong to me. I could not (and would not) entertain that suggestion - leaving my preemie infant to cry alone. And that didn't address the issues. The office often suggests holistic remedies first, which I do think is great. However, that wasn't working for him, and I ended up having to find other providers to help us. We ended up with a slew of tests and studies. He ended up having laryngomalacia, a lip tie, a posterior tongue tie (which the NP advised me NOT to have revised... I went against the advice at the recommendation of two IBCLCs, and only in doing so was he able to finally breast feed!), and the aforementioned severe GERD. He has continued to have issues, most notably related to sleep. In his entire life, he had never slept through the night once. He would hit, kick, thrash, and scream through the night. The practitioner basically told me that the sleep issues were normal and that I should cut out daytime naps because it's taking so long (1+ hours) for him to fall asleep. He only sleeps 8 or so broken hours at night and has dark circles under his eyes!!! I am floored that advice would be offered, as kids his age need 12-14 hours of sleep. The NP also mentioned that a sleep study could be done. I left feeling defeated and (again!) as if no one was listening to me or willing to help me with my concerns. That night ended up being exceptionally horrible in terms of sleep: I believe my son had a sleepwalking episode. That morning, I called the office to see who they could refer me to for a sleep study. When they returned my call, I was told that no one would do a sleep study on a child under the age of 4. First of all, that contradicts what I was told the previous day at our appointment. Second of all, I called a sleep center myself, and they told me that they absolutely do sleep studies on children under 4. Those experiences, compounded with one of my final experiences, caused me to leave the practice for good. I brought my newest baby in for a well visit, and I explained to the practitioner that meal times and bedtime are both extremely stressful. I started crying, because I was so overwhelmed with both things. Instead of offering help or asking me to explain, the practitioner told me I needed to reach out to my midwife. The NP suggested that I had PPD, which was absolutely not the case at all. I was asking a medical provider for help, and (once again) I was being pushed aside. I like the IDEA of Next Gen Pediatrics: parent choice, a mix of holistic and western medicine. In practice, though, there was very little help and support for both my children and myself, and I went elsewhere for better care.

They charged my card BEFORE I received the bill and refuse to delete my billing information. Emphasis is placed on making as much $$ as possible and not providing care. You just lost 2 patients over $50.

Only downside for me is the cost of care for tests, or things not covered by insurance. (Check out alternative places, like Bright Light Imaging for CT Scans or imaging). The halls and main spaces are kept clean and in order. I especially appreciate the staff in the Breast Care Center. They are very caring individuals. I also find it is a perk to have a nice Starbuck's in the lobby here too, so you can treat yourself to a hot or iced beverage after an appointment. And, this is your reminder ladies (and men) to practice self care and get checked regularly each year. You matter! And this is a nice place to go when care is needed.

My visit was to the lab. I didn't know where to go so, when I entered the building and saw the information desk, I asked. I was pointed to another desk just a little further into the building. When I got to the lab test, they greeted me pleasantly and I gave them the lab orders. They immediately took me back and ran the tests. I had the results from one test that afternoon, and the other required a few days so expect to hear about it next week. They were fast, pleasant, and I thought the quality of service was very good.

Tiffany is the office manager and together with Dr. Duong are doing an amazing job managing their office. Their appointments are always on time and you are expected to be on time as well.
