Many reasons I would defer you from this practice: Office…read morestaff is horrible They require a CC on file I gave them one but asked to see a bill prior to being charged so I could verify the charges and insurance was being billed. They told me I have to get a bill through the insurance company (EOB) but they want to charge me right away My 5 yr old ended up in the hospital once released we had to do a follow up visit - front office asked me to pay the hospital bill in full (we never got it yet) which I refused as it was being sent through insurance - they refused to see my son until I got on the phone with their office manager who "made a 1 time exception" We just got out of the hospital!! I wasn't paying thousands of dollars! Called for a sick visit was told since my daughter hadn't been there in a while (healthy kid) they didn't have time - they needed a 45 min appointment verses 30 mins as she would be a "new patient" She was there for a physical a year earlier You wait longer in the waiting room or exam room than the time you have with the doctor. My 3 yr old needed an eye referral I called and asked for one - they wouldn't give me one until I came in - another reason to grab a copay These are a few of the many reasons I'm leaving the practice after 9 years The place is not the same

If you would…read morelike to file a complaint about this doctor's office please contact the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. On January 19th my daughter became very ill. I called PAB to get an appointment for her as my husband had a positive covid test the Friday before my first call. At this point, my husband was on day 9 from when his symptoms started. I also was covid positive. The office said that we should assume that my 5-year-old had covid as well. I asked if we should test her and they said there was no point. I asked if it should be on record that she had covid and they said no. They told me I can go get her tested at one of those places on the side of the road. On Saturday the 22nd I spoke to them again and let them know my daughter's symptoms had not gone away including a fever of 105 at times, urinating the bed, complaining of stomach pain, and vomiting. They said covid does funny things. On Tuesday the 25th I called again stating that my daughter was still ill and they still did not want us to come in and I pushed for an appointment. Upon further investigation my daughter never had Covid, she had a UTI. This child was sick for over a week because the office assumed she had covid but refused to test her. After one round of antibiotics, her symptoms came back. On February 6 I called the emergency number for my child's doctor's office. The doctor on call was a Doctor Kaufman. I explained my daughter's situation to him and he said I needed to go to the ER. I explained the last time we went to the ER we waited 4 hours. He then laughed at me and said," Well that is life isn't it." I then asked him if it was possible to go somewhere else and he told me; " I do not work for immediate care so you will have to make some phone calls." Followed by, " I an concerned for your child, and it's clear that you don't feel like doing anything to help your child today." WOW! As a parent, I was shocked. Who accuses a mom who is calling an emergency number on a Sunday that they don't care for their child. What kind of a doctor does such a thing? I sent a message through the online message board to tell the office what happened and said I would like to file a complaint. On Monday the 6th the office called me and I asked to file a complaint. Lisa told me the doctor was a nice guy, no one had ever complained before, and they didn't know how the complaint process works. Lisa also said that in my chart it said I denied a telehealth appointment on January 21st when the UTI issue began. I let her know that I never spoke to anyone at PAB on the 21st and had requested a telehealth appointment on the 20th to which I was told no. February 9th, I took my daughter back to the office, and her doctor set up a treatment plan for her and requested she gets a kidney ultrasound. February 10th, I was sent a certified letter letting me know that we are no longer welcome at the doctor's office and I had 30 days to find a new doctor. On February 17th I filled out the offices form asking for my daughter's entire records to be printed. I was told they would be ready the next day. Upon receiving my child's records I noticed that there we multiple medical records missing. There was no record of her February 9th office visit and her treatment plan. There was no record of the two visits we had in December in which my child was prescribed antibiotics. How is my child's new doctor supposed to treat and understand the scope and sequence of her medical issue if she doesn't have the full records? I then called the parent company Pedi Trust to ask about the complaint process. They said there was a process and set up a conference call between Al Compos( Pedia trust), Lisa Stoll( office manager and PAB), and myself on March 7th. On the call, Lisa said it was my fault that I was released from the office because I do not trust them. She also said that the medical records are available online and I can see them there if I want to. Apparently, if a parent wants their child's full medical records after being dismissed from PAB it is the parent's responsibility to print them? The representative from Peditrust( Al Compos) became very upset and asked to end the call. He asked me how I wanted my full records and then repeatedly asked to end the call as he did not know when FedEx closed that day. I was then hung up on. My records were never overnighted that day. It is my feeling that I was asked to leave the office as retribution because I asked to file a complaint against one of the Doctors. This place is good a few things: Mismanagement of medical records, punishing children when their parents try to ask valid questions, and dismissing clients when they ask to file a complaint. RUN!!!!! I've only written two reviews in my life -- one for a patio installation, and now this. I'm a…read moresuccessful, educated, professional, family man, and I was so alarmed by how transactional this doctor's approach was that I had to speak up. Dr. James Nikoleit walked in 10 minutes late with no apology, told me to "sit down" when I asked a simple question from one of their own pamphlets, and rushed through the entire visit. Told me 'I don't have to read it to him, he knows what it is, now put that back and sit down'. When I explained I'd actually started feeling better after stopping the medication he prescribed, he said, "maybe we should have increased the dosage instead, not stopping it". When I asked more questions on symptoms, etc. - he got very short, got up and said it sounded like we're done, no more time. He got visibly upset when I told him he showed up 10min late to me. He walked out. That summed up the visit -- no listening, no curiosity, just an automatic push for another prescription and another billable cycle. I could feel and see his pivot when he learned of lost 'business'. Weeks later, I can now say with certainty: I feel 100% better off the medication he wanted me to take more of. It confirmed what I suspected -- this practice runs like a revenue engine, where patients are time-boxed, rushed, and billed, and where keeping the prescription annuity flowing seems more important than genuine care or outcomes. In past visits, he spent more time talking about his old Porsche or golf clubs than my health. But I get told there is no time to talk about my medical concerns. What?! It's clear the focus is volume, not value. For more context: a family member of mine was misdiagnosed by another doctor in this same practice -- told his symptoms were "just depression." He suffered a major stroke the next day. And just this week, a family friend saw this same doctor and left in tears after being cut off mid-sentence and told she needed a "separate visit" to ask her questions. Too many things too close to home. This office has become a transaction factory, not a place of care. If you want a doctor who actually listens and cares about outcomes -- not billing codes -- go somewhere else.

At this time, my insurance only had one pediatric doctor option in the network, Dr. Bangash. I called the minute they opened on Monday morning and after being on hold for 15 minutes finally was able to make an appointment. They insisted that they could not see me that day (Monday). I explained to them that I was a new mother and that the only way I had been discharged from the hospital with my son was if I promised to take him into the doctor first thing Monday. Still the lady I spoke with insisted that they could not see me until Tuesday afternoon. I scheduled the appointment. When we arrived at the office we were not greeted right away, and stood there waiting for someone to speak with us. Finally the receptionist gave us paperwork to fill out. We waited over 30 minutes to even get called back into the exam room. The nurse advised us to undress our son, which we did. Once she left the room we then again waited almost 20 minutes for the doctor to come into the room. His bedside manor was lacking, we could hardly understand the questions he was asking us, and he was having trouble putting his information into his computer system. He needed to call in a nurse to show him how to input the information. I informed him that we needed a bilirubin test conducted on our son (which is what the hospital told us we needed). He told us that after looking at our son he did not think we needed to have the test done. I told him that I wanted to have the test done as we were advised to have it done. He gave us a hard time but said that he would order the test if our insurance approved it. He advised us to wait in the waiting room while the reception contacted our insurance. We waited over an hour with a brand new baby before they finally told us that the insurance company had not gotten back to them. I asked what we could do to get this test completed and they said I had to wait for the insurance company to approve. They called me the next day advising that it was approved and we scheduled the test immediately. After this horrible experience, I never went back, and would highly recommend for anyone considering Dr. Bangash think twice. It was by far the worst medical experience I have ever had. Not only that, but I received a bill a year after the appointment to pay the entire visit as apparently my insurance did not cover it. The fact that it took them a year to bill us speaks again to their inefficiency, disorganization, horrible patient care, and lack of customer service. STAY AWAY!
