Great comfortable cabins! I only stayed one night, but I really liked the cabin they gave me. It was a little dark inside, but had a beautiful porch overlooking the woods with a couple of rocking chairs. It'd be awesome with a family, although I was fine just by myself. There's a small kitchenette, with a microwave and coffee maker including coffee, and nice table, too. The beds were very comfortable and spacious, and could easily sleep 4 people; two bunk beds (large) and an enormous king size bed, all in one room. The bathroom was rustic, but immaculate. I found it very comfortable, the staff in the check-in area quite friendly. Best of all, it was away from all the tackiness of Branson, in a nice, quiet wooded area. This is a good campground. Tight campsites but cozy. Everyone is nice and pool is great. Very close to everything. WiFi works but cable tv is non existent!! We liked our stay! We especially liked the many trees and the fact that it is extremely shady compared to other RV Parks. read more

I've been to Silver Dollar City many times in my life and enjoyed it every time. We paid for all of our adult children and grandchild to be with us and we flew in from California. We had researched on line to see about the shows, and it has all of them listed. We got here December 26 and no shows are open today. You would think the ticket prices would be discounted at the least. The website does not say the shows are closed. That's a big part of SDC. I think the next time we will go to Gatlinburg. read more

I paid for my daughter and grandkids to stay 3 days here. The good is how beautiful the setting is. The trees are gorgeous and the cabins are cute. I'm torn between 2 and three stars but went with two because of the poor lighting and small t.v. It's hard to entertain kids after dark and the had to pile very close together to see. The WiFi was very bad. The cabins were clean enough but the public shower and restroom was gross. Smells like pee and the shower stalls were nasty. We used the cabins restroom but I would not want to rv at this place because of the shower. The game room seems like kind of an after thought but the kids liked it all right. The staff needed training on how to interact with kids. I was speaking to my grandkids and on of the staff spoke over me and asked my grandkids to not touch anything. While they were indeed touching merchandise it was because they were looking for a souvenir. Strange behavior from someone running a store and gift shop. read more

We stayed 2 nights in one of the rustic loft cabins. The online reservation system was easy although they require you to pay one full night up front. We qualify for one of their standard discounts, and I couldn't figure out how to apply that online, but they adjusted our final bill to account for it, so we were very thankful. They have all the basic amenities: towels (lots of extras in the closet), dishes, cookware, small stove, apartment-size refrigerator, grill out back. The kitchen sink is very small and somewhat difficult to properly clean dishes. There is a space heater in the bathroom and extra blankets in the dresser if you get chilly. The beds are not the most comfortable, but we are staying in a cabin and not the Four Seasons, right?! We really enjoyed the beautiful stone fireplace, and the Adirondack rockers on the back deck. The cabin was set right in the trees, so we were immersed in the beautiful fall foliage. They ask you to clean up after yourself in the kitchen and there is no daily room service. Checkout is super easy (just drop off the key and tell them you're leaving). The walls are thin: we could hear the neighbors outside as they enjoyed their family get-together. They were not being especially loud, but we could still easily hear them, and the street noise not far away. We didn't use the store at all, but it looks like it has almost anything you might need. I like this campground a lot. I bring a pull along. The spaces are nice and have full hook ups. There is also cable and wifi. The showers are clean and the staff is friendly enough for me. I have been here a few times. I read a review about noise and was worried about it, but I have no complaints. This place was inexpensive and nicer than most I have been to. It is a gem. Unfortunately the reviews given have all been for Silver Dollar City rather than The Wilderness At Silver Dollar City. The Wilderness is a campground that shares only the SDC name with the actual company that owns SDC. But don't let that scare you away. There are spots for Tent's & RV's as well as rentals of RV's and Log Cabin's. We have stayed in the cabin's a number of times and it is always a fun getaway. You can go in size from just a bed, all the way up to 3 beds, a kitchenette and a bath. There is no major maid service, but if you need new linens, just ask and they will get them for you. However, they will come through and check on you to make sure if you need anything. We have also stayed in a rental RV. It was great fun. However, they are not for larger folks. We are pretty normal sized, and it was a tight fit for us walking through the RV. It seems a little pricey, but afterwards you realize it was worth it! read more

Located in the Ozark Mountains, Silver Dollar City is unlike any family theme park. Its right up there with Disney World, but the whole theme and rides are different. It is very family oriented. I went when I was 13-14 yrs old, so Im sure it has changed a lot since I last visited. I do recall the gift shops to be of handmade soaps, candles, and blacksmiths. We watched a family show while we were there of the Haygood Family. It was great. Also, had really yummy frozen lemonade, and the whole park is surrounded by trees, so it isnt quite as hot as other theme parks. I would love to return , one day. read more

The sites are ridiculously cramped. The layout and design of the campground is very poor. You have to drive through the whole thing to get in or out. The spaces aren't well defined, so when we had issues with a discrepancy over what tiny space we had to spread out, it was not dealt with professionally at all. They suggested we park our car up the hill in the field. And by the customer service rep. we were basically told, "Sorry about your bad luck. Next time reserve a better site." There won't be a next time. And the "general store" is a sad joke, mostly junk, not things people would need while camping. read more

The campground in general was nice. The PROS: the pool was very clean, big and nice as was the game room, laundry and General Store. Some items in the store are typically pricey but then some items were priced very reasonably (pop/juice/water etc and ice I thought were a very good price). Having the shuttle to SDC is a nice feature. My son and daughter in law were able to use it coming back one evening from SDC to the campground while the rest of us stayed at the park longer. The fire rings are moveable within the campsites themselves. The crew comes by each morning and cleans out any debris after guests have checked out so they are ready for the next camper. Tent pads are pea gravel and fairly level. Easy location to find and accessible to much of Branson West and different activities. The CONS: the campsites themselves are so tight and close together that you need to hope you have good neighbors because there is literally only a few feet between most sites. We were in a tent site with electric. The electric outlet was mounted on the railroad tie that served as part of the perimeter for the tent pad so it barely above the ground. That means you have to bend down and almost kneel to see to plug in something. The community water spigot looked like it was part of the campsite of spot 51. I felt bad for that family because they had so little room in their campsite to begin with and now everyone had to encroach on that site to get water. There needs to be more spacing there. The roads throughout the campground are very narrow. If you have an RV of any size, you are going to have to be an expert at getting your unit into a spot and again, you are very close to your neighbor. The campground is next to HWY 265 and even at the back of the campground, you can hear traffic if you aren't in an enclosed RV. The bathrooms weren't horrible but could have been checked more often. The overall cleanliness was ok but needed to have showers and stalls checked for cleanliness through the day. One of toilets in the ladies bathroom by the playground out of order for the entire weekend. Only two shower stalls and those were tight. Toilet paper wasn't checked as often as it should have been. Soap dispenser was broken and unusable so we had to take soap with us. Another camper supplied TP. Would I stay here again? Maybe... probably but, it won't be my first choice, mainly due to the close quarters of the campsites. I've been to Branson many times through the years. Some campgrounds are like this though. We like trying out different places each time and it helps us know which are the ones we like best. On another quick note, I have seen some reviews on another page about the staff in the Office/Store being rude. I found this to not be the case except for one, when we checked out and she wasn't necessarily rude but came across a bit condescending. Stayed for two nights with a motorhome. The sites are not level. The staff was rude to my daughter. The shuttle service to Silver Dollar City was supposed to arrive at 5:45 and we waited for 35 additional minutes. The second day was the same, with the driver telling us the shuttle stopped arriving at 5:45 without a reason. My family was sunburned while waiting in the lot. Nice place right off of 265. Our spot was right by the well-traveled highway but not so close I was worried about kids running in traffic. Showers are nice, bathrooms are very clean. Pool was well kept and while we were cooling off I saw staff doing water tests more than once so you know it's right. Game room was well appointed. Sites are tight but enough room to have some space to hang out of the RV. Paid $5 fee for online reservation - just call them directly. Lots of trees so spaces are shady. Would come again for sure. You can get silver dollar city tix for 2 days with really small premium so that's what we did. Out enough from town so it's still pretty quiet but close enough to be convenient. read more

what can I say, we went there for our daughter and her friend..and it was fun for us adults too. they had shops set up but they didn't just sell you the products, they make it there too. it was interesting too see and my husband and i really enjoyed that. there was a shop where they sold you blown glasses and they were blowing glasses there too and telling you about the steps they go through. it was beautiful what they can make. so many things to see and do there not just rides. wish we could have stayed a little longer but them hills was killing us. be prepared to climb hills too, if you can't walk, they will rent you an electric carts. but unfortunately you can't take the cart to the underground cave which by the way was amazing. so check that out too. read more

Not a happy camper. Went there last Saturday, To camp for 2 days, paid for a camp spot, for a tent. As I'm Handicapped, I asked if the spot was near the rest room, Was told YES. After finding my spot, all the way down a rough rocky road about a city block away from the rest room, on an unmaintained rd. No Grill and to top it off somebody was CAMPED IN MY SPOT, WITH A CARD ON THE POST. i WENT TO OFFICE, The lady drove to the suite, came back and said they set up on the wrong spot, and to set up on the spot next to them. I said are you sure there is a open spot next to them, It looked like all the spots were taken. She said yes At this point it's getting dark, No time to grill food, so we went to town to eat. Returned to find NO SPOTS OPEN. AND THE OFFICE IS CLOSED. Had to sleep in the car. The next morning, They said sorry & refunded my money, with a, I don't give a sheet attitude. Called the main office to complain, A man called back to say sorry. You would think they would bring this fact to the Lady s working the Desk, WRONG, as I called the campground that evening, And the Lady (Helen) the one that checked me in, Knew nothing of what happened. I wanted to stay in one of their cabins, but after hearing stories of BED BUGS in some cabins, and also in some motels. I got a tent and decided to camp out. Roughing it , to me, Means going without Reservations at a nice Condo. But with the advent of BED BUGS on the come back. I will start camping. PS I was searching state Park campground rules, Seems you need to reserve a spot that has a red spot on post, to be guaranteed, that spot is there for you. As all other spots without that red spot on post ,means first come first serve. So if you want a good spot in the cheap spots get there early. TO ALL GOING TO SILVER DOLLAR CITY less people during the week. Long lines waiting on rides on the weekend. read more

This is a campground, not an amusement park. We stayed in site 2 (with a Class A) which was right next to the pool/office. Nice, pull thru, gravel site with 50 amp, picnic table, & fire ring with flip over grill. The other sites seemed a little tight & hard to get in to with all the trees. Not many 50 amp available. The pool was impressively clean because they check the chemicals every single hour; opened 10 to 10, if the levels are right. The office has long, late hours which was convenient. The staff was extremely helpful & very nice. Silver Dollar City is so close that you can hear the train whistle. The campground has a bus that takes you to SDC twice daily. Only complaints - no plastic bottle recycling & there was a horrible smell at our site the whole time we were here. You could smell it when the breeze blew. I thought it smelled like dumpster; hubby thought spoiled milk. Hopefully it is temporary. read more

We stayed in the cabins and they were comfortable and picturesque. I saw the inside of some of the other cabins and they were just as nice as ours. The roads were narrow and people played in the streets but that's expected at campgrounds. The little grocery store was convenient but pricey. We opted to get food at the local Walmart. The WiFi was slow. Grounds and trees were beautiful and we went early in the season so there were few bugs. read more

This review is for the WILDERNESS CAMPGROUND. Not Silver Dollar City! I have stayed here at least a dozen times over the last 30 years. This trip is the first time I stayed in a site next to the highway (site 18). Literally, so close I could spit on it from my picnic table. Do NOT reserve a site along the highway. It is so loud all night long. Other than the noise and crappy views of the highway, the showers and bathrooms are very nice. read more
