The staff was very friendly upon arrival with a smile. I was able to bring my dresses and some other clothing in and show them where the stains were and they marked them with a sticker. They did tell me up front that a couple materials I had may have problems getting the stains out because they were set stains. I took them in Tuesday afternoon and was told they would be ready Thursday after 4p which is a great turn around. I picked them up today which is Friday morning and they were clean, pressed, and ready. They do have deals for males if bringing 10 or more items they chive a great price. Dresses and delicate materials are more. I think the customer service and honesty is worth the service. I was able to meet a few regular military customers that love this place and say that they have been coming here for a while and the only place they trust with their items. I'm unsure why they only have a 2.5 review but this needs to change. I would recommend and will be back. read more

Silver Cleaners - Establishment - Laundry Services Near Me - San Diego, California

Great price and service! I would recommend this place. Don't forget to take cash. Always on time and have no complaints

This place has been around for decades and we bring our dry cleaning here because it is really well priced. A full load of pants, jackets n shirts only cost about 60% of what you pay elsewhere. No one beats their prices. Clothes are ready in 1-2 days. Uniforms are even better priced. There are a couple things you need to know. Bring cash when you pick up your clothes. They take cash. The parking lot spaces are a bit small so don't bring a big truck. For the value, this place gets 4 stars. I've been going here for 23 years and they have never lost or ruined a single item. Great job n great value. read more

My go to cleaners, but are they Silver Cleaners or Hy Cleaners? Silver is listed at the address, but their tickets say Hy Cleaners. Either way, they are quick, dependable, and do a great job! But be warned, they are not always easy to reach via phone. read more

Why is it that buttons get ruined or broken when washing shirt there? Is it because the solution you use? It's been like this for years(4 years at the least). Customers shirts cost anywhere from $50 to $60, but after two or 3 times at your store the buttons break. Why? Overall service is not so good and quality is way below standard. Gotta find myself a new place with reasonable prices. If I had a $1 For every button that I've lost from going here, I'd be able to afford to buy this place and fix this issue. read more

I have never had any issue at this place. The clothes are dry cleaned fine. However, they dont process dry cleaning at this shop so sometimes if your clothes can wrinkle easily then they will wrinkle due to transportation. Unfortunately the two women in there are obsessed with make-up. Sometimes it takes them a few minutes to leave make-up and take the order. read more

I stopped by on a Tuesday to drop off a few shirts that I needed cleaned and pressed for a Vegas trip I was leaving to on Thursday night. I confirmed with the guy that my shirts would be ready on Thursday. Even the ticket said pick up Thursday after 5pm. I arrived around 5:20 and the lights were off with no one in sight. I ended up having to buy a couple dress shirts that night for my trip. When I arrived today to pick up my shirts I told the guy what happened and although apologetic, he took no accountability to the situation. While I was there, two separate customers were also upset due to their clothes were damaged. Again, no accountability was taken and they blamed the fabric. It was overall unprofessional and a bad first experience. I most likely will not return and wouldn't recommend anyone else to. read more

Silver Cleaners - 5:23 pm on a Thursday (the window says they close at 6) - Laundry Services Near Me - San Diego, California

I'm not sure why this place gets such a bad rap. I wear dress shirts to work 4 days a week, so I have a full bag of them to be cleaned every few weeks. I drop them off for wash and press and 48 hours later they're done. Are they PERFECT? No. But, for $1.25/shirt, they are definitely clean and pressed very nicely. The time it would take me to iron all my shirts is worth significantly more than $1.25/ea, so I give them 4 stars. I will note that in 4 years, I have had 2 shirts come back as not clean, but they took them right back and made sure to correct the error. I also take dry clean items for my wife from time to time and they come back fine as well. Don't come here if you are looking for someone to make small talk for 20 minutes and to become your new friend. Do come here if you are looking for your clothes to be clean without breaking the bank. read more

I have so far taken clothes here for dry cleaning once. Decided to try it out because I realized that they had the same prices (and appears to be the same owner?) as this other location in Clairemont. Thought it would be nice to do dry cleaning here since it was next to my fave boba place, Tapioca Heaven. If you bring in 10 or more items, then they become about $1.85 each. Holla. I dropped off a ton of my husbands dress shirts and a dress that some chick spilled her drink on me from NYE (biotch). The girl took the clothes, she pointed out the belted sash that was on my dress and reminded me to take it (thanks!).... Picked it up a few days later - no prob. Will definitely be back. Its not exactly close to my home, but definitely within reaches of me running a grocery run to the Hibert St Trader Joes and grabbing some yummy boba. read more

I tried this place for the first time and they did not fully clean my dress. I remarked on it and they said that they did clean it then changed their mind that they couldn't clean it all without damaging the dress. The excuses were ridiculous and service terrible. No apologies....all I got was an oh-well attitude. read more

The worst dry cleaning service of my life!! Please stay away from here unless you want all your clothes ruined or damaged. They don't even dry clean your clothes, they literally throw it in a washer and dryer. All my clothes came back faded in color, burnt, and threads coming out! What they are doing is probably not even legal because they are not even dry cleaning. They just throw your clothes in a regular washer and dry and hang it up to make it seem like it was dry cleaned. Please stay away if you want to keep your clothes. read more

I hate this place!! They are super cheap but you get what you pay for. I brought In a military uniform to be dry cleaned and ironed and they left lines in my uniform! A military uniform is suppose to be flawless. When I told them they didn't do it right they try to turn It back on you and it's hard to argue since their English sucks. read more

Agreed with Yusuf I. Every experience I've had at Silver Cleaners has been a good one. Then again, all I use them for is for dry cleaning or a nice 'press'. I'm not sure of what else they have to offer. If you're not satisfied with a job they did, then get it re-done. Simple customer service. In fact, I'm stopping by there to pick up my dress shirt I got pressed. $1.25. Can't complain! Oh, just be sure you bring your pick-up claim ticket. They don't make a big deal about it, it just streamlines the process. read more

This establishment does an acceptable job pressing my shirts/slacks. But that's all I would come here for. The prices are very affordable, at $2 a pop. (I think it's just your basic items like shirts and slacks. Anything more like a jumper or dress will cost you more). I did have a pair of black slacks with a pleather detail that cracked after they pressed it. That was my bad for taking it in. The service is speedy. You get all your stuff dry cleaned in 1 day. read more

For a few years, I've been going here for my dry cleaning needs. The prices are reasonable and the location is convenient for me. I haven't had a problem until now. I had five dresses cleaned; one in particular was new and had been worn out recently. This was white without any stains. I picked up my dresses the next day. I didn't inspect it all because I never had any issues before. When I got home, I removed the plastic and noticed my white dress was now 90% yellow. There were dark stains around the waist and collar. I didn't spill anything or wear foundation so I had no clue where these stains came from. I took it back and asked for an explanation. "Maybe you ate something...maybe it's your sweat, maybe, maybe, maybe..." They neither apologized nor let on that it was remotely possible that anything could have happened on their end. Every excuse they made placed the blame squarely on me. After 5 minutes of going back and forth they agreed to clean it a second time free of charge but that required me to sign a waiver that they weren't responsible for any damages accrued in the second cleaning. Hmm. So it's been cleaned twice and it's completely yellow. Some stains are gone but now there appears to be newer ones that weren't there in the first cleaning. Grrr. I am never coming back. read more

This is my first time in this cleaners location. If there was a zero star I would have given this cleaners a zero! Very, very rude customer service! I brought my white jacket for cleaning and to remove a stain. They were not able to remove the stain and charged me for the cleaning. The woman "Onn" was yelling at me and screaming at me because I said if they can't remove the stain then they should tell the customer that and don't charge the customer. This woman went on and on nonstop, yelling at me despite me telling her to stop talking. What a little pain in the ass! She should not be in customer service. NEVER GO TO THIS CLEANER! You will not only get upset but also feel bad for spending your money. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. It looks like she was not even trained how to talk to people or maybe if she was, her attitude is just so bad! read more

This place has the crappiest customer service you could ever imagine. I have been a customer for 2 years and perfectly satisfied with their service until few weeks ago. The same dress that had been dry cleaned at this place at least 3 times came back with red stains all over. First they did not say anything when I picked up the dress until I noticed the red stains - shady! They tried to fix it, the stains were gone but now the top part of the dress which was white before is this awful dirty yellow color. They did not apologize for ruining the dress but instead said the dress got ruined because the dress was made with poor material, because it was made in China - unbelievable!! After a lot of arguments all I got was 60 bucks, which is much less than what I paid for the dress. I am really disappointed with this place. Safe to say I will not go back to this place. I will also try to discourage other people that I know have been coming to this place to not come back. This place does not even deserve a one star!! read more

Great place. Always makes sure my clothes are neatly pressed and clean. Also has the beat price in town! Il be back!

Not sure why all the bad reviews. My shirts, slacks, ties, jackets always get cleaned and pressed great. Prices can't be beat, especially if you bring in 10 or more items. read more

You get exactly what you pay for. Super cheap but not worth the horrible service and lack of professionalism. Oh and also they misplaced two of my shirts, which were worth $60 each. What a huge disappointment!!!! read more

Have been going here for years. They do good work most of the time. The women behind the counter are over obsessed with their looks though and take a couple of minutes to leave their lipsticks and hand held mirrors to take orders. They also charge different rates to suit their moods. read more

This place was ok until today, my bill was 4.00 and the lady working the evening shift insisted I pay 6.50! She said that this is the correct price for the jacket I brought in. The woman from the day before said that four dollars is the price and wrote it on the receipt. Lack of professional courtesy and service has made me decide to take my business elsewhere. read more
