Decent Park with all the basics spaces are very tight very quiet and safe walking distance to downtown grocery and drug stores

We made reservations at this place the third week of May to stay for three nights. Our reservation was for June 14, 15 and 16. On June 7th we called the reservation desk to cancel our stay due to a death in our family. The lady was nice and kept saying how sorry she was. Then, we got a charge on our credit card for the three full days! We were totally shocked! We have stayed at many resorts and have never been charged the full amount before, maybe a deposit was kept by the resort, but never a full amount! Please beware! We will NEVER stay here or recommend them to anyone! read more

We made a reservation at Silver City R V Resort. Seven days before the reservation date we received devasting news in our family. (an unexpected death). Silver City charged our credit card for the full three days that we would have been there. $208.58! other R V Parks gave either a full refund or a small fee (under 10.00) for the cancellation. im not sure about why there are any bad reviews for this park. My husband and I stayed here for 7 days in March and loved it. Great location close in proximity to things to do. Beautiful view of the mountains every morning. Clean amenities and overall well kept rv sites; showers, bathrooms, & laundry room always clean! Pool was closed for the season, but I did see the hot tub in use. Nice dog park available which is kept clean. Also a small dog park separate for little doggies. The general store at the front of the resort has all the little things you will need plus a very friendly staff. Overall, 5 stores for this resort. We will stay here again in the future. read more

Great staff all around, very nice campground, clean, in order, dog park, (love the rule of picking up after your dog or you are told to leave and no refunds), harsh, but it works. Like most campgrounds these days they have long timers staying. However, unlike most parks, this park makes the residents keep their spot clean. Or maybe it's just the residents that doe that on their own. I would highly recommend this campground. read more

Great place to stay. Some road noise from the trucks, but if you're a traveler, that's your white noise, so didn't mind it at all. BEAUTIFUL views all around. Top notch facilities. Laundry room and showers and store, gym, pool, definitely good for an extended stay. Bring your own fire pit. FYI. No weeds, no trash, and code locked gate for in and out after hours. Dog friendly, with a super clean and spacious dog park. Trails all around. Staff are friendly and we're so sweet to our three pups! Little less privacy then say a Forrest camp ground, but they've installed lovely privacy barriers and in a few seasons, the plants they put in will fill out and each site will get even better than they already are. I would 100% recommend. For Single female or elderly travelers this is a safe and comfortable place. Major bonus! We will definitely be back next time we visit! read more

Update: After living here for a few months, so much staff coming and going, constant changeover. People have way too many cars parked in their spots and staff does nothing at all about it. We have never had WIFI here and used charter which is great. 4-6 Dogs, cats, in a lot of these trailers and nothing is done. You can tell now one cares anymore. I just had my RV hit bad with debris from their weed eater and he have huge scratches and no one cares at all. Uhhhh new paint job. You don't go around with blatant disrespect for someone else's property at all. He says they were keeping weeds down, well, ya spray for weeds, you don't whack them near RVs. Geez. Makes me puke. Why so much staff turnover??????? If they only knew about the drug deals, etc.......??????? They have been getting rid of all of the stored trailers which has been nice. We are just about to leave after staying several months. We love this RV park. Marcie the manager and all of the staff were so helpful and friendly. We met many of the full time residents who made us feel welcome. The park is dog friendly with plenty of space to play, walk, and potty. The bathrooms and laundry room are clean. The on-property store is convenient for ice and other essentials. Within a five minute drive you have Home Depot, Target, Trader Joe's, Walmart, and many other shopping choices. We got used to the sound of the highway traffic and quiet hours at the park were observed by all our neighbors. You have beautiful views of the mountains all around you. Wow... My husband and I and our three dogs have been staying here for almost the last year and I have nothing but great things to say about the park, the management and the people that work here. From the day we moved in to the day we leave they have been nothing but helpful and accommodating. We have utilized most of the amenities, the laundry rooms always clean, three dog parks including a dog washing station, the rec room we rented for my husbands birthday party well-stocked, a beautiful room and it's not the only one in the complex. They take great care of the grounds the pool and the people too. We are headed out on a new adventure today and know that when we come back to Nevada if we have the need to stay in an RV park we will be coming back here. It was super windy here! Super open, winds at 26mph it was horrible ! Slept around 9pm woke up around 11pm till 3am. Then slept at 6am till 830am. Horrible night! Too windy to sleep. Felt like mini earthquakes! Never again will I stay at this location. Bathrooms were super clean. Clean area. read more

We've been staying here for a few months now, and really have no major complaints. The people who work here are always friendly and helpful, especially in the main building. They also have some items in the store, good if you don't want to make a trip too far from home. There is a pool and hot tub, though I have yet to use either, so I can't rate those. During quiet hours, it stays quiet and I have no problems sleeping soundly. They're doing a lot of upgrades to the resort right now, which means some noise during the day, but nothing that my graveyard shift husband can't sleep through. The people living here seem very friendly and respectful of other neighbors. There is a couple who lets their dogs out and they like to bark and bark, until eventually being brought back in, but that's the only sound complaint we have had so far. I do not worry about leaving things outside, as there are many people with lots of stuff out who seem to have no problems with theft, so that's nice. They don't up the prices during the summer like a lot of other places do (this was told to us by our neighbors, so we will keep our fingers crossed it is true!). There are a couple of down sides though. There are not really any trees... meaning when the sun shines, it shines hard and heats up quickly. There are small trees on some of the sites, however. The dog areas look fairly small, especially towards the back of the place. But lots of people use them, so it can't be that bad. The cable channels are spotty and sometimes they come in, sometimes they don't. I have unlimited data on my phone, so I don't use the WiFi, but I have heard it is spotty as well. Getting out of the place, if you're heading towards Gardnerville, can be a hassle, as there's no merge lane (which you can't really blame them, it's just a thing to note). The laundry seems a little pricey for the size of the washer. The dryers work well, though. Overall, we have heard some bad things about the other RV resorts in the area, and this place has several long term tenents, so we are happy so far! read more

We stayed here for an overnight stop on our way north, the park was clean and maintained fairly well. I did not like their dog policies....every grass area had posted signs...no dogs allowed.....the dog runs were small and had only dirt and rocks....not an ideal spot to take dogs...since my dogs cannot read we had a few incidents near the lawn areas that were off limits while walking them to the dog parks.. they had way to many signs disallowing this or that. We also went to go for a swim around 5:00 on a Wednesday and the pool was just being locked up for overnight because they had put in chemicals. So we could not enjoy our stay. Park is not dog friendly at all. Will not stay here again. read more

This resort is under new ownership and is really overpriced for what they offer. The cable tv doesn't work and after a week of telling us the cable company was sending someone out, it still didn't work. The Internet doesn't work, as they're "between providers". The fuel pumps have been taken out. The rules are restrictive, and after offering a discount for our inconvenience, they changed their mind and cited "Christian living" huh??? Oh, and the 30-amp service on 100-degree days didn't keep the air conditioners running. I wouldn't stay there again. read more

The staff was very professional and took care of checkin very fast told us every thing we needed to know they even told us about a local pizza place that delivered to our Rv spot that was great after a long day of driving they also took us to our spot a pull through. The store was lacking product and would have been nice to have a little gift store or a little place to get a cup of coffee. Each of the sites seem to be as tight as they can get them. The park is well kept up and clean with nice views of mountains. They were close to Hiway so easy to get to. The price was a little high I think $56.00 for 1 nite pull through. If in the area again I might stay some place that has shade trees. read more

We are staying here for over a month. They advertise wifi and give you a wifi password, but there is NO wifi. Everyone here complains about the wifi. Also, there is no recycling, who camps and does not recycle these days? The power is spotty, but for the most part works. On the plus side, the views are beautiful and the staff is friendly. They have well priced fuel, propane and everything else you may need. Fellow rv residents are really great. Just know that you will be using data and no wifi for your stay. read more

We paid extra for the premier spot and it was great until an employee of the park moved into the space next to us with barking dogs and dog turds.. got to listen to the barking all weekend and at night after work. No use talking to management as it was somehow our fault. We love dogs .. just a bad owner. Noisy trucks warming up from 4 am on.. drivers flying over speed bumps.. over the winter the workers were very helpful with all the water and flooding issues.. for a night or two would be ok.. but long term .. not so much! read more

This park has over 200 sites and a few tent sites. You register at the gas station/general store - which has all your basics. So pulling in is easy and the roads in the park are also easy to navigate. Check in was fast and friendly. Even though the park is on Hwy 395 there is very little road noise. The sites are all gravel and level. We were in site 114, pull-thru with full hook-ups - no problems with the hookups, and plenty long enough for our 37' Class A, tow dolly and parking the car. A little wider than normal. There are two dog parks, one small and one medium size. They have a catch and release pond with some golf holes around it. There is a rec room, pool and laundry room, all of which are clean. We stayed October 8-12, 2017 and paid $23.71 a night with our Passport America discount. WiFi was okay, Verizon signal good. You are not far from Lake Tahoe and Carson City. read more

The internet constantly goes out, they are always digging up pipes, it is VERY pricey and there is a lot of noise from the highway. There is some guy with a massive speaker system attached to a car that they allow to play extremely loud music every day. So loud that you can't hear your TV. The maintenance crew is great but the drama queen manager and her ridiculous minions who work in the office are a bit much to deal with. EVERY month when we went in to pay our bill, we had to spend 30-40 minutes being told we were not in a long term spot and would have to move our RV (it's not like we chose where to park to begin with.) We highly recommend Comstock Country RV Resort just down the street, professionally run, great service and much quieter. read more

Well, the wifi issue a previous reviews wrote about is still there a month later. The equipment is dated and absolutely unable to handle the number of devices currently connected. This is a very pleasant 4 star resort absolutely worthless to someone needing internet access. In this day and age, there is no excuse for this. If they replace the wifi with current commercial gear, I will stay here again. If they don't, I'll have to stay someplace else. read more

Came here for gas and to purchase beer. Give the lady my ID and she proceeds to quiz me. I figure okay, she's just doing her job. Then she scans my ID, twice and says that she cannot accept it. Idk how my ID that has flown me across the country, isn't accepted at this gas station. Hope they don't sell my information for money. This rv park is one of those parks that is " whats good for the goose, isn't good for the gander!" They tell you when you come to the park that you can't have a rv or camper older than 7 years old if you are going to stay full time. This is a lie if you look throughout the park you'll see rv's & campers that are from the 80's & 90's.. So thats BS! Its a park based on WHO YOU KNOW! The office is closed alot and manager is never there hardly. There are lots of rules being broken but yet certain people can break those rules and get away with it.. Because they used to work there..lo. Its a ridiculus park with ridiculus rules! Too much gestapo for the amount of rent you are paying there! They are always making some sort of a little improvement on the park so that they can have an excuse to raise the rent every year!!..Ridiculus!!. This place is supposed to be a RESORT, but when the tell you that you have to pull your own weeds In your area or if you don't, you will be asked to knave! Really!!?? I wonder if WAKT DISNEY RESORTS WILL ask you to pull weeds while you are staying at their resort?! ..NOT!.These parks out here in Nevada are really ridiculously priced, ridiculously ran and too expensive.. Be careful with this rv park..don't let looks deceive you.. If there was a - star rating, I would put it as a minus 3 stars! .You will be unhappy at this park. This is a great place for a short layover or if a little road noise won't bother you. While there are a lot of fulltimers/long stay residents, all rigs are in good shape and most of the sites are pull-throughs and available for short term stays. They have a fenced in pet run and some gym/pool facilities but it is the easy access/location that make it a great place to stop. Right on the 395 just outside of Carson City. HORRIBLE WIFI - If you are a 21st century person who relies on a good wifi connection, forget this place. While everyone was pleasant here, I felt robbed of my $ when, once I'd paid and was all set up, discovered the wifi signal was so poor I could barely check my email. No Netflix for me that night, plus I missed a work deadline because of lack of access. I recommend these folks let people know the wifi is poor BEFORE they sign in. Even the sleazier RV park several miles down the highway in North Carson had god wifi! read more

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights . Our first spot number 35 had sporadic power in other words on a 95 degree day it was cutting in and out every ten minutes or so . The people at the front desk were very nice and moved us right away to a spot with no power issues . Other than that we liked the park and everyone was friendly ! The facilities were clean and air conditioned and we were close to a grocery store and some good restaurants We enjoyed the area and there was plenty of privacy ! We will return ! read more

We stayed one night here. Pulled in around dusk on January 3, 2013. There was snow on the ground, about 9 degrees outside. The gentleman on duty insisted on 'spotting us' into the site. When he was done and said 'it was fine' our rear end hung over into the road and our rig was way off level. After trying to level up and get set up we discovered there was a cement platform under the trailer and we had been set up half on and half off of this platform. All of the hook ups were bunched together and we could not reach the dump station. The attendants were very unprofessional and the cost to stay for one night was ridiculously high. We were traveling with 2 of our grandchildren and they charged $4.00 for each of them, so if you are looking for a 'family friendly' park, forget it. We would not recommend this park and will not stay there again. read more

Nice clean place with paved, level pads. We stayed 1 night which was fine. We used the pool and the general store. There were two WiFi networks to connect to, east and west. East worked best for us. Lot's of grassy areas with "No Pets" signs on them, doggie areas are dirt and not real spacious. There is a small lake out back for catch and release as well as a small pitch and putt golf course, neither of which we used. No problems with power, it was a hot day and we kept our A/C running the entire time without any interruptions. Met some nice people there as we do at most RV parks. Could use more trees for shade because it was so windy we could not leave our awning up. They said they had a gym but we never found it where the map said it was supposed to be. All in all not a bad place for a short stay. read more
