Zephyr cove has lots of space for people to sit! It has a lot of parking, it's usually $10 dollars to park. Might be a little more for out of state license plates. There's a restaurant nearby and has a dock as well. So anytime you want to kayak, jet ski or go boating you can! They also have a mini cruise ship that can take people for dinners and lunches which you have to reserve and it's pretty pricy. But that's where you can go for cruise ships out of zephy read more

It's beautiful because its Tahoe but this beach is not as great as others. There seems to be a lot of a rowdier crowd. The water line was a bit smelly. There was a guy doing jet ski doughnuts almost on the shore. No one regulating what was going on. This beach was great for the dog. Shallow waters. Sunset was beautiful and great place for pictures on rocks. read more

Nice beach, good location. Plenty of parking in the early to mid-afternoon. We came early, and parked in the campground section where it's pet-friendly. Not a long walk from the parking lot to the beach, although I strongly suggest sandels and water shoes! The beach has a beautiful view from every sitting spot, and lots of rocks if you want to climb them for photo ops or sun-bathing. Random people painting photos on the beach... Very peaceful/serene. I took my dog in the water... The water is cool, not too cold (in late July), and shallow. Even though the beach is beautiful, and the water so crystal clear you can see specks of gold... It's very rough on bare feet... Like lava rock rough. So yeah... Bring some water shoes if you plan to walk in the water. :) Oh... And $8 for the days parking. read more

Was told service shuttle would pick us up at hotel. Shuttle drove by us and never picked us up. Found out we were suppose to be across the street. Reservations never sent email with instructions just told us shuttle would pick us up at hotel. Joke of a company don't waste your money. Ruined my daughters birthday! read more

Crystal clear waters. Small beaches but you can make it work. If you have your four legged friend with you, you have to go down to the north end where dogs are allowed. They have a ton of picnic tables up and down the beach. Was plenty of parking although we did go on a weekday. A lot of people park right off the highway. Definitely one of my favorite beaches in South Lake Tahoe. read more

If you are in the area, and are up for a beautiful view, check this place out. Being from Texas, the scenic appeal of Zephyr Cove is surreal. Turquoise waters with tall pines (I think) all along the cove in both directions. Minimal fee for parking, volleyball nets, and a beach bar. We spent the better part of the afternoon at the cove for a post wedding rehearsal get-together. I would go back again in a heartbeat. We went mid-week, and I heard that this place get get a little rowdy on the weekends, especially during college break periods. Take a day off work and relax. read more

Oh gosh the beauty that was this beach my kids had a blast it was very busy but was easy to find a place to lay out the beach blankets and enjoy the surroundings for hours even the geese we overly friendly and not afraid to come up and steal your food but it was comical gotta love wild life everybody was chill and respectful of the beach rules nothing crazy or too rowdy which is beach goals when you have kids lol . read more

Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful! It's been almost 15 years since I've been to ZC and it's still so amazing! It was freezing cold, but I enjoyed going. I was able to take really good pics and just look at nature's beauty. Watched a cute little duck swim. It's definitely better to go during the warmer months, which I hope to do! read more

Park is nice. Reviews are a bit mixed up because you can go to the park by the library and play on the playground, camp, tennis, ect and walk to beach. Or pay the entrance fee to park at the beach. Nice beach, fairly busy on a wed morning. read more

Terrible service. No point in making a reservation for a boat, as they make you wait in like for over 45 minutes with everyone else who didn't make a reservation. Understaffed and clearly don't care. What a disaster. read more

This is a nice park with a baseball field, tennis courts, playground etc. The breeze feels nice and you can smell the trees. No sounds of traffic can be heard either.. I only wish the view of the lake wasn't blocked by trees. Otherwise it's a 5 star park. The kids enjoyed it. read more

We were very pleased overall. Being so close to a fun beach was awesome. We had very few crowds but everything was operating and open. No drunks, no massive parties, no drama. The RV park is pricey - and state parks are cheaper and nearer the beach! Since we play tennis, we were delighted to see the tennis courts just .5 mile away. The Blue Wave yacht cruise was fantastic and well worth $50 each. The highway noise is loud. Park is well run and conveniences are many. No complaints, but it's not flawless. read more

Zephyr Cove Park is a really nice place to hang out in Tahoe. Parking can get a little bit crazy during the summer. The beach is really nice and there are some great views. We have taken one of the boat cruises there as well. Close to the casinos and there is a resort one can stay right on site. For those looking for a wedding location, this was one of our finalist in picking a place for ours. read more

Nice place. Showers and laundry available. Stayed in winter so some very slippery walks to the shower. Bring a headlamp if you're gong to walk to the shower after dark. read more

The guy who works at the gate is a prick. We went to eat breakfast at the little restaurant near there and we were going to walk to the cove to take a picture. He came out and told us we had to pay 8 dollars to take a picture at the park. We had no beach gear or anything just to take a picture. Note the beach was cold and windy with no one on it and other visitors came walking back up and they weren't told they had to pay to go to the park - calling bs. read more

Its a great beach if it isnt overcrowded and you need to park and haul a lot of stuff. So if you have kids its one of the good family beaches. Not best but good. Like every beach on tahoe its gorgeous. Beautiful views and amazing waters. Its a popular spot for paddleboarding and has a lot of picnic areas and restrooms. Like all the other popular spots with parking it has a fee, $8. There are lots of boats "parked" on the water and there is a lot of comings and goings. It has a snack bar, cafe, and rentables, so its appealing if you are up for spending a little bit of dough. I prefer a hikable beach, like hidden or skunk, less crowded and over all more of the experience i enjoy. Not that this isnt an amazing beach all beaches are on tahoe, i just spent all day there with the kids today! So honest opinion: when i have the kids i go to sand harbor, if its full i go to zephyr. 3 stars only out of tahoe beaches. This is still a great place to see and enjoy! read more

One of the worse beaches I've ever had to endure for Fourth of July, I actually had to leave in the morning because my Bloody Mary's were confiscated. $40 parking only to have no beach, jammed packed full of people, and no buzz to enjoy your celebration of our country. I do not ever recommend it. read more

I came out to South Lake Tahoe a few weeks back for a friend's bachelorette party and we decided to spend a day on the beach. It was a summer weekend that happen to fall on Hot August Nights, so the beach was packed. We had to park up a hill about a mile away and very few spots for our group of 6 to layout. In general it makes for a great party scene with lots of music and drinking (Rum Runners), but not so great if you're looking for something peaceful and quiet. To escape the chaos we bought some inner tubes ($24) with head rests and drinks holders and just hung out in the water for a couple of hours. Overall a pretty good afternoon. read more

Its a small park with some swings and slides for the little one. Given that its right next to the beach, maybe its better to go to beach than here :) .. However, I had kids who wanted to play on slides etc. Hence, it was perfect for them. read more

We ended up choosing to do the castle course, which has 28 holes. I had cash in my purse so we paid for a smaller discount of $20 per person. If you pay credit card, it would have been $20.60 per person (I am assuming for the credit card fee?). We were given our clubs and 2 colored golf balls. And the employee who checked us in had told us that there is a hole where the mill is not working. The motor to power it is not working but that we can slowly pushing it towards where she is and it should work. The castle themed course is very cute and we really enjoyed seeing each hole, which some of them were really challenging. Some of the holes were also really well constructed and decorated, including the one with a ship and a giant goldfish. We golfed here for about an hour. And I am happy to say that I ended up with the smaller amount of strokes (just by a margin though). Although this course has 28 holes, you only golf with 27 holes. And then for the last one, you come back inside where you paid for your admission and put it in one of two machines. I placed my golf ball into what looks like a plinko style game (which reminds me of The Price Is Right show). But I don't know if I was supposed to try to win something or not or just to watch it make it's way down to one of three holes. And then my husband placed his ball in the other machine that looks like a slot machine. Overall, we had a great time and am glad we were able to make it out here.
