Our family and friends come to this RV Resort every summer vacation because there are many water entertainment projects here. My husband and daughter like the jet ski sport and have driven it many times. Today we came here as usual, and my husband took his driver's license to register, but was rejected by a staff member. The reason is that my husband's English pronunciation is not as good as him and he thinks that my husband does not know English. I explained to him that we have come here many times and have driven jet skis and other projects every year. To prove this, I even showed him our previous photos and my bank credit card bill records. But he still insisted that they cannot provide services to guests who cannot communicate with him very well in English! And said that this is their rule. We have immigrated to the United States for ten years. My husband has a Class A driver's license. We have our own property management company and RV rental business. We sincerely ask him not to destroy the image of the company and our vacation mood because of his prejudice! But he said that they have new policies, It is not possible for us like before. I asked him to show me the new policy, and he said to call the manager. Then a man who claimed to be the manager showed up, and he also couldn't show me their new rules but rudely refused to record the video I started at this time. I would normally give Zephyr Cove five stars because it used to be my favorite beach to take my dog and swim myself. It was $10 to park at the Zephyr Cove Resort and then you would just walk to the right and not to long of a walk to get to the dog friendly side. Unfortunately, they recently placed a fence so even if you park at the resort there is no way to access the dog friendly side from The parking lot which was super frustrating that I paid for nothing. In the past it was always super easy now I just go to Nevada Beach Campground or kiva because it's way easier to bring the dogs. I pay for the convenience of not having to street park and have to get all scratched up to get my little dogs to the beach. read more

It's beautiful because its Tahoe but this beach is not as great as others. There seems to be a lot of a rowdier crowd. The water line was a bit smelly. There was a guy doing jet ski doughnuts almost on the shore. No one regulating what was going on. This beach was great for the dog. Shallow waters. Zephyr cove has lots of space for people to sit! It has a lot of parking, it's usually $10 dollars to park. Might be a little more for out of state license plates. There's a restaurant nearby and has a dock as well. So anytime you want to kayak, jet ski or go boating you can! Nice beach, good location. Plenty of parking in the early to mid-afternoon. We came early, and parked in the campground section where it's pet-friendly. Not a long walk from the parking lot to the beach, although I strongly suggest sandels and water shoes! The beach has a beautiful view from every sitting spot, and lots of rocks if you want to climb them for photo ops or sun-bathing. Random people painting photos on the beach... Very peaceful/serene. I took my dog in the water... The water is cool, not too cold (in late July), and shallow. Even though the beach is beautiful, and the water so crystal clear you can see specks of gold... It's very rough on bare feet... Like lava rock rough. So yeah... Bring some water shoes if you plan to walk in the water. :) Oh... And $8 for the days parking. read more

Crystal clear waters. Small beaches but you can make it work. If you have your four legged friend with you, you have to go down to the north end where dogs are allowed. They have a ton of picnic tables up and down the beach. Was plenty of parking although we did go on a weekday. A lot of people park right off the highway. If you are in the area, and are up for a beautiful view, check this place out. Being from Texas, the scenic appeal of Zephyr Cove is surreal. Turquoise waters with tall pines (I think) all along the cove in both directions. Minimal fee for parking, volleyball nets, and a beach bar. We spent the better part of the afternoon at the cove for a post wedding rehearsal get-together. I would go back again in a heartbeat. We went mid-week, and I heard that this place get get a little rowdy on the weekends, especially during college break periods. Take a day off work and relax. read more

This is a nice park with a baseball field, tennis courts, playground etc. The breeze feels nice and you can smell the trees. No sounds of traffic can be heard either.. I only wish the view of the lake wasn't blocked by trees. Otherwise it's a 5 star park. The kids enjoyed it. read more

Zephyr Cove Park is a really nice place to hang out in Tahoe. Parking can get a little bit crazy during the summer. The beach is really nice and there are some great views. We have taken one of the boat cruises there as well. Close to the casinos and there is a resort one can stay right on site. For those looking for a wedding location, this was one of our finalist in picking a place for ours. read more

We were very pleased overall. Being so close to a fun beach was awesome. We had very few crowds but everything was operating and open. No drunks, no massive parties, no drama. The RV park is pricey - and state parks are cheaper and nearer the beach! Since we play tennis, we were delighted to see the tennis courts just .5 mile away. The Blue Wave yacht cruise was fantastic and well worth $50 each. The highway noise is loud. Park is well run and conveniences are many. No complaints, but it's not flawless. read more

The guy who works at the gate is a prick. We went to eat breakfast at the little restaurant near there and we were going to walk to the cove to take a picture. He came out and told us we had to pay 8 dollars to take a picture at the park. We had no beach gear or anything just to take a picture. Its a great beach if it isnt overcrowded and you need to park and haul a lot of stuff. So if you have kids its one of the good family beaches. Not best but good. Like every beach on tahoe its gorgeous. Beautiful views and amazing waters. Its a popular spot for paddleboarding and has a lot of picnic areas and restrooms. Like all the other popular spots with parking it has a fee, $8. There are lots of boats "parked" on the water and there is a lot of comings and goings. It has a snack bar, cafe, and rentables, so its appealing if you are up for spending a little bit of dough. I prefer a hikable beach, like hidden or skunk, less crowded and over all more of the experience i enjoy. Not that this isnt an amazing beach all beaches are on tahoe, i just spent all day there with the kids today! So honest opinion: when i have the kids i go to sand harbor, if its full i go to zephyr. 3 stars only out of tahoe beaches. This is still a great place to see and enjoy! read more

One of the worse beaches I've ever had to endure for Fourth of July, I actually had to leave in the morning because my Bloody Mary's were confiscated. $40 parking only to have no beach, jammed packed full of people, and no buzz to enjoy your celebration of our country. I came out to South Lake Tahoe a few weeks back for a friend's bachelorette party and we decided to spend a day on the beach. It was a summer weekend that happen to fall on Hot August Nights, so the beach was packed. We had to park up a hill about a mile away and very few spots for our group of 6 to layout. In general it makes for a great party scene with lots of music and drinking (Rum Runners), but not so great if you're looking for something peaceful and quiet. To escape the chaos we bought some inner tubes ($24) with head rests and drinks holders and just hung out in the water for a couple of hours. Overall a pretty good afternoon. read more
