This is a well maintained and quiet place to spend the night. Or two. We were stranded here due to mechanical issues and we found the location to be very convenient and the people are very accommodating. If you're just traveling from .8 point B this is a great place to spend the night. If you're looking for a resort experience, there are other options, but this is just fine. read more

This place sucks. Wi-Fi is non existent and when you ask why, you get nothing but lame excuses and outright lies. Cell phone service is a dead spot. We drove around the immediate neighborhood and found good service all around but in the RV park. We were told there was an explosion followed by the internet company dug up some cables by mistake but they didn't know when they would repair the lines. We replied, cell service doesn't come from a line and got weird looks and more excuses. Oh, did I mention $905 a month and a 4% credit card fee. Since then we discovered other much nicer, newer parks in the area with many more amenities that actually work. Camp N Town gladly takes your money and lets you find out for yourself how much it sucks with no remorse and no refunds. read more

What makes this place stand out and deserving of ....... Well I'm going to tell you. The management office. The people in the management office and the residents who are willing to help another human being in need. What I witnessed today is the heart of this older yet charming RV park and a willingness to help anyone less fortunate......specifically the young mother that we are renting to. These good folks go the extra mile.....always. Kudos to Kurt, Dan and the guy who's name I didn't get. We could use more of the kindness that I had the pleasure of seeing in action today. read more

Ok folks, it's 2023. Time for everyone to quit relying on those old reviews and make way for the new. Clean, well-managed and located right on Carson St., Camp n Town has many amenities and won't tolerate troublemakers. Usually a couple of RV's available for purchase depending on your needs. We made a reservation for a month because of the covid-19 stay-in-place order. We paid $495. (good until May 15th) plus 13.5 cents for electric and $20 to use the bathrooms plus $5 deposit for a key. The streets in the park are paved but the sites are gravel rocks. They have free tv but you must go to Spectrum to get the tv box. They say they have internet but it doesn't work. The park is clean, has young trees at every site and the laundry room is old along with the machines, $2:00 to use the washer again very Old but they work. We had camping stuff in the back of our truck and it wasn't bothered, thankfully. It is inexpensive here if that's important to you. Denny's and the hardware store are across the street and Save Mart is about a mile north toward the 580 hwy. read more

My wife and I live 50 miles north of Camp N Town. We took our trailer to Washoe Lake State Park and the place was full. Rather than go home My wife found this place. We spent 3 nights here and explored Carson City museums. Having full hookups was a nice experience as well. This is not the Hilton but it worked for us in a pinch. read more

We came here to dump our wastes. They charge $10, which is a lot more than we're used to paying for dumping wastes. The place seemed ok but the RV'S are really tightly parked and there seem to be a few trashy people here. There was an empty beer box in the middle of one of the roadways, a discarded can of cat food under one RV, and their trash enclosure looked "trashy" too. Glad we are not staying here. read more

Not sure if it happens to just people staying overnight, but someone(s) tried to break into the storage areas on the outside of our trailer. My husband and I had gone to dinner and got back around 9ish pm. When we got ready to leave, my husband noticed one of the storage doors was bent. You could see where something the size of a screwdriver scratched the paint on the trailer, door, and bent the door. Thank goodness they could not get in. It was a few hours before the office opened, so I phoned in the afternoon to talk to the manager. I was told that it was not their problem. I was shocked and told them that we would never be back. Camp N Town was our next stop in our Life in the RV. We stayed a week with a full hookup site. WiFi was great until the second to the last day then just awful. We asked about this and were told they just changed providers. Soooo, this could be a deal breaker for any extended stay unless they get it figured out. Otherwise, it was less noisy than Comstock but the airport is close but not a lot of traffic on the road. Showers were acceptable with plenty of hot water. The lot was on gravel and level. Park was clean and parking a car was not a problem. Conveniently located as well. Everything you need near by. Looked like there use to be a pool but is now a nice grassy area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Not sure if we'd stay again. On to the next campground...Carson Valley Inn and Casino. read more

From the outside, it appears ok but do not stay at this place especially if you are working on the computer. We were hacked by accessing their network. The IP address said it was accessed from someone who had a Texas IP address. We reported the incident to the FBI. When we wanted to speak to the manager, we were given the run-around as to who the manager even was. No information is not proof of guilt but we suspect the employees and/or the management is in on the scam. So nice of them to pick a spot for us right next to the router. How handy for the hacker. Oh.... when we were leaving, there was a truck parked outside the office with Texas plates who was supposedly a "friend" of the owner's son who had a strange electrical ventalitated box in the back of his truck. My advice: DON'T STAY THERE AND IF YOU DO, HAVE YOUR OWN HOT SPOT AND DON'T LOG INTO THEIR INTERNET. read more
