Half the bathrooms were under construction while we were here, the other 2 were very nice spaces, each single room was toilet, sink, shower, bench. (No ventilation though, would be nice if a window could open in the hallway, but that's structural and not a quick fix request) Full hook ups for the rv site we chose, would pick a different spot in the future only so we could be on flat ground, and have the clean out be lower than the RV. All we got were excuses The washers were on, broken pipe, even called public works who were not helpful. The water pressure was so bad our toilet backed up. And they say free internet, good luck getting that! Three days and never a connection. Employees were ok, but never made our concern a priority,just excuses that didn't hold water.

This RV park was rated well and was close to our desired visit areas of Virginia City, Lake Tahoe,…read moreCarson City, and the Nevada State Capitol. I first tried to book online through their reservation service, but the sites that were listed as open were not really open and my reservation didn't go through. I called and spoke to a friendly lady who helped me book my stay. I wanted to stay longer but they did not have a site large enough for our motorhome available for the additional days, so I took the three nights they had. Upon arrival, the park seemed tight for our motorhome, but we were able to maneuver without issue. The staff lead us to our site and helped us park in our site. The site was on the end of a row next to the dumpster enclosure. We thought there may be noise from the dumpster but there really wasn't. The site had full hook ups and the 50 amp service that we needed. It was warm during our stay and we had not issues running our air conditioners. The sites are "buddy" sites so there was a small turf grass area between us and our two neighbors to share. We also could use the turf grass area on our driver's side adjacent to the dumpster enclosure. On our last day, we received a call from the office that they had an emergency road repair happening within the park on the day we were scheduled to leave. The park offered to refund our last day due to the inconvenience of us having to pack up and leave before 9 am. This was acceptable to us and we were able to move out of the park in plenty of time. The staff was always friendly and helpful and they waved at us each time we came and went from the park. I'd definitely recommend this park and stay again when in the area.

But honestly, we're so glad we made that mistake because this ended up being one of our favorite stays. We only planned to stay one night, but we loved it so much that we extended for another night. My husband is really into paranormal history, and I had no idea Virginia City was one of his favorite places. I ended up falling in love with it too! The town is full of fascinating history, and it's just a short drive from the motel. Just keep in mind that most of the shops close fairly early, so it's best to explore during the day. The owners are some of the kindest and most accommodating people we've met. They made us feel so welcome, gave us great recommendations on places to visit around Virginia City, and were always happy to help. Every morning they also offer complimentary coffee and biscuits, which was such a nice touch. We traveled with our four dogs, and it was wonderful to find such a welcoming place for pet owners. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was cozy, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We especially loved the bathroom--it was very comfortable and well-kept. The people in Virginia City were incredibly friendly, and the whole experience was unforgettable. If you enjoy history, charming small towns, or anything paranormal, this is a fantastic place to stay. We came here by accident, but we'll definitely be coming back on purpose!

The rooms in back over look the beautiful garden sitting area. In the morning, they serve lovely pastries, hard boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, coffee, and tea, other delights. If you're looking for a super cool place to stay, this is the spot for you. Also you'll be greeted with a welcome drink of your choice, I love the Bees Knee. On the weekends they have live music and the Tahoe Antique store as you enter the bar.

THE ROOM!! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it....(the only complaint would be the bed was a little to soft for us....but that is just a preference). The room was large, clean, perfectly decorated....and the VIEW!! My God!! After settling in I immediately made my way outside and started up the hill for a view of the valley and sunset! AMAZING!! I could of explored for hours. The quiet peacefulness of the area is just what this gal needed. We then made our way to the bar for a cocktail before dinner. Again the service was a 10! Dinner? The mansion is located walking distance from town. It has been very well restored and has many period pieces and decor. My wife and I have stayed in many places like this but I have to say...this place has something special. That is mostly due to Connie the owner. As soon as you book the reservation you get a huge email laying out what to expect at the mansion including directions and what to expect. The email then goes in and tells about the town and its MANY attractions and history and how to contact those business. Once we arrived, a note in the door said to "call Connie once you arrive and are ready to check in...LOL'! We thought this was great and gave it a very "homey" atmosphere. Connie also owns a bar/saloon in town called The Silver Queen, which has been featured on Ghost Adventures and is worth a trip there in its own merit and that is where she was when we arrived. She basically said...walk in the side door, go straight ahead and turn right and the door to your room is right there with the key in it. Let me know if you need anything else...LOL. We thought that was just the best! The rooms were very clean and comfortable and had AC, TV, Keurig coffee maker, private bath, and ours had a patio outside. We took a self guided tour around the house, as no one was there, and fell in love with the place. The big thing that sets it apart from any other place that we have been is the fact that the owner, Connie, is the one who literally cook you a three course gourmet breakfast every morning! Her meals were spectacular and the hospitality and conversation was amazing. She has lived they for 61 years and could answer pretty much and question you had and had a hilarious and interesting story to tell about whatever you wanted to know I was well! We met some great couples at breakfast and we are SURE to be back in the future. This mansion and the city, which exceeded all expectations as well, will definitely in regular rotation on our many adventures every year. You will NOT be disappointed when you stay here!

The Hotel is new and owned by the same owners as the Virginia City Inn and the main office is located there (right up the street). We rented 4 of the regular rooms and both of the apartment suites. The rooms were clean and the furnishings were nicely put together. The rooms all had a back balcony and a great view. I booked the apartment suites for family and both were very spacious with fully equipped kitchens and plenty of space in the living area for everyone to hang out. The rooms easily slept 4 adults in one and 3 adults and 2 children in the other. I would definitely book here again and if coming with kids or a group I would recommend their apartment suites. The apartments are located downstairs and the steps are a bit steep, but our older relatives were able to get down without issue.
