The intake counselor was extremely calm and nice, and the assigned counselor I am seeing now is fantastic! He really makes me feel better about everything that bothers me! Plus I have not had to wait longer than 5 minutes on any occasion... and if you get there early they commonly take you in early instead of making you wait. They don't seem to overbook so there is usually no lines or anything. One of my favorite aspects is none of the counselors try to shove meds down your throat.... they consider meds a "last resort" reserved for people with serious issues. They want YOU to work on YOU before even considering using meds to solve the underlying issues. Which is great because I am pretty paranoid about meds! PS - I am pretty sure this is a secondary base, I think the primary "headquarters" is on Thomaston Ave.

If you want someone who listens and truly cares, she's the one for you. She does listen, it's a fact, she understands, and works to help you take action. She also closely monitors any medications you may be taking , ensuring they are working for you. She doesn't direct, she involves you and makes you feel like a team to improve your life. Good Psychologists and psychiatrists are hard to come by. If you need help, and are struggling, Griffin Hospital and Angela are there for you.

The first time I went here it was simply phenomenal everyone got along with each other and everyone wanted to see everyone grow and be a better person. The second time around not so much in my opinion the patients would judge the person more just for playing a game on the phone during break time not during the group session when we have to talk no during break time it's not really the other person business anyways everyone is going for themselves not to be picked on for texting or playing a game on the phone when you have that initial break. When I was sitting in my chair one of the patients got up and pretended to kick me in the shin I never had that issue happen to me anywhere with adults in a professional setting. I was really glad Sam stood up for me and took him out of the room and told his ass where to go because it isn't normal for a patient to go up to another patient and start pretending to kick him or say your so angry and can't control yourself when the other person isn't bothering you IOP should be a place of non judgement because if your going some way that causes you to have more anxiety that's not the place anyone with mental health issues should be. I still remember when I was sitting outside having a panic attack at the table by the bathroom and some old worker walked in front of me not even asking are you ok he just continued to walk back and fourth I was like wow nice place. The only person here that always supported me was Samantha even when pot was legal they wanted to breathalyzer me before going in the place why just why Sam made sure to hold the assholes off my back thank you for that? Even the doctor sees me having a panic attack and she didn't care she just went back into her room. The thing that got me here is when I came back for my second week one of female chaplains looked at me in front of everyone and said o you are back Chris is that really any of your business your business should preach and walk and talk like Jesus not worrying it's someone second time around in group that just made everyone else in the room turn and look at me. I mean it's really sad when your patients are complaining there isn't no snacks and there spoiled snacks from last year and Griffin didn't care nice place there was only one worker that did care and made sure everything was perfect and her name was Sam if your looking to feel better mentally just trust Sam because she is the only worker here that will actually take the time to listen and care not to shove a pill down your throat for a paycheck she most definitely deserves a raise working amongst her other workers it has to be stressful doing everyone else job for them. All and all if you need to talk not all the patients in the room here are assholes the second time around there were a few that were not judgemental she actually seen my panic attack and gave me a hug a man doesn't forget ever what happens she was even nice enough to donate 50 bucks twords me getting another bunny that's a true person right there. Sam always did make me feel safe and secure without her in charge the place and the rest of the staff in charge is a shit show plain and simple. After years as a consistent, engaged patient, I was abruptly dropped as a client because I missed two appointments, both directly tied to the condition I was being treated for. I've been undergoing evaluation for idiopathic hypersomnia, a neurological sleep disorder that literally causes uncontrollable sleep episodes. Despite being transparent about this with my provider, the office chose to terminate services without a single phone call, check-in, or ounce of empathy. They sent an email, which was likely sent to spam or lost in notifications, and that was the extent of their outreach. Their "reason" was policy. Their approach was robotic. Their communication was cold, dismissive, and devoid of compassion. They knew I was mid-treatment, actively coordinating diagnoses, and dependent on medication management. Instead of showing basic humanity or care, they sent a form letter and refused to reconsider when I explained the situation. I've worked with medical and mental health professionals for years, and this was by far the most dehumanizing experience I've had. It's not just about missed appointments, it's about how a supposed mental health practice responded to a vulnerable patient asking for understanding. Policies are supposed to protect patients and providers alike. Here, they're used as a shield to avoid responsibility or empathy. The irony of a clinic called "May You Find Peace" treating patients this way speaks for itself. If you value compassion, continuity of care, and basic human decency, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere.

The pharmacy says all they're waiting for is a call from my APRN Susan or Brandy. calling the office is a joke. The machine picks up and states that the office is closed, clearly it is not. The website says it's open till 6:30. It also states to leave a vm and someone will get back to me within 2 business days. What does it take for my APRN to call in my script? I've been struggling with this for weeks!!! It's not good to just stop your anxiety depression meds just like that. After a month of trying to get through to the office that states every single day they are closed is beyond unacceptable! Nobody calls back after two business days like it states. Nobody calls back at all. It's not only unprofessional to ignore one or your clients but it's downright mean and cruel!!! I shouldn't have to call 911, be taken to the hospital by ambulance,, just to get my prescription filled! With no transportation and no spare money for an uber I'm stuck sitting here going nuts! I have lost all respect for Synergy due to all its failures. I shouldn't have to take this further but it looks like I'm going to have to.....
