The team providing support is caring, professional and supportive. I would recommending adapting DBT training consistently.

So for three months I had to go to this outpatient class and eventually see the psychiatrist. The psychiatrist was extremely strict but fair. He prescribed me what I told him I was already on and he said he'd like to see me lower my dose within 6 months. I did. I walked everyday, got a full time job, with the help of a very nice lady who worked there. But my problem was with how my clinician lied to me and when it came time for me to start this program, They said they didn't do it. I was so mad I just left and never went back. The outpatient clinicians never believed you but they would believe the guy passed out with white powder in his nose that's he's just "tired". I felt sooo betrayed. I will never go back to that place. It's a place where they just wanna bill you and say "good luck ". Don't recommend it at all

There was not any chain of custody that I saw being followed. This is lawsuit material, and I am extremely frustrated. I have contacted both BH Care about this and the lab where the testing was done and I am not confident that this will come off my medical record.

I've remained sober from drinking & was blessed to get pregnant in 2025 and my husband and I welcomed a beautiful healthy baby girl, that wouldn't have happened without the staff at paramount, forever grateful for the experience and care I received. I was debating on this review for over a year, but now im sharing my experience Enrolling with paramount 0/10 When we looked into care my husband was talking with James who stated during my time there he would be getting updates on me, being able to talk to me once I moved up to residency and also stated my insurance was covered and in network. I was not in the right state to clarify this at the time myself to the staff members before my arrival. My husband was told false information and told him what he wanted to hear so they could get me in ASAP. We knew nothing about rehab centers as this was the first time for myself and anyone in the family. We believed everything we heard. New patient screening 0/10 When I got to paramount the nurse on was a male nurse and the CCC who was on shift that night she was female. The nurse did my body check and was fully exposed in front of a male stranger, it was extremely uncomfortable. I eventually brought this to the attention of the director Cassandra and nothing was done and was brushed under the rug, to avoid any type of sexual harassment or law suit, Rooming experience 8/10 I got my own room during detox and residency. The rooms were spacious with a lot of storage, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and showers. Rating 8/10 as my original room had a plumbing issue and we had to move rooms. Food: 10/10 !!! One of the best things about this place. Group/1:1 therapy 7/10 towards the end of my stay the curriculum tended to repeat for the new comers. Lack of communication on what was mandatory and what wasn't. One class was not mandatory "morning moment" and became mandatory one day and I got in trouble for being late. You would meet with the director or this other woman who is no longer there and ask how the experience was, nothing would change from it and if you voiced your opinion which was negative they would be combative and talk down on you. 1:1 therapist actually caused many issues in my relationship not helped and said if I didn't do PHP Id go back to drinking. I'm thriving in my relationship by the way & still sober Other issues: Since my husband was misinformed at the beginning regarding phone calls. He called multiple times to try and talk to someone about what's going on. He was extremely frustrated as staff members would take messages but no calls back, this went on for weeks. He googled the director to try and find an additional number or direct extension and ended up getting her cell. Despite me not knowing any of this at the time, I got "punished" and got my visitation and phone calls taken away at my last week. Very unprofessional and the upper management avoided me until I left. It literally caused unnecessary drama lol Everything else, the staff members, CCCs, activities 10/10 they really made the experience something I'll never forget. It helped shape who I am today and gathered all my knowledge for the "tools in the toolbox" I carry with me today and everyday.

Going into detox is scary and full of unknowns, but James made the process crystal-clear and made my loved one feel super comfortable going in. In addition to the medical aspects of detox, they also received therapy and a case worker dedicated to helping them recover and work through the root causes of their addiction. A special shoutout to Kayla and Dr. James on that front! As an aside, not the purpose of going into detox whatsoever--but they had nothing but great things to say about the food! Trust that you (or your loved one) will be well-fed. Recovery isn't linear. However, I know that my loved one is off to a great start thanks to all of the support they received at Paramount! I can't thank them enough.

We were at a point where we were having difficulty moving forward from my daughter's anxiety and depression without having a change of environment away from all stressors. Since making this decision, I am a huge advocate of residential as I would like to normalize adolescents that need this level of care. If you truly feel that your son/daughter is not able to break out of this cycle, I highly recommend you try Newport Academy. Like any program; naturally, there are some negative components that others have mentioned in the reviews. However, the big picture is getting your son/daughter the quality care that they need to truly move forward. My daughter went to Bethlehem, CT location for 37 days. In this time, the quality therapists were able to help my daughter see herself in a neutral, almost positive light. She came to them with negative self talk and through the group and individual sessions, she was able to make meaningful, lasting change within herself. Shout out to Emily, Jenna, and Jenny for providing quality and compassionate therapy. I heard my daughter saying goodbye to them and she told them she loved them. It is possible to form real connections and make real change in a short time. With that being said, your son/daughter need to want to change. That is the only way they will get results. Here is some input from my daughter about the food, some of the staff, etc: I believe the food was good with various options! There was always something to eat whether you like the food they made or not. I kept my habit of eating clean, which worried me at first. I wish dessert was a more normal thing to have, ice cream once in a while would have been amazing. I healed lots of things within myself while I was there due to the environment change and not having a lot. I built new habits and coping skills along with the amazing people and girls I met. There were some staff I truly miss so much, I know they really did care about us. Like everywhere, there's always going to be mean staff, but we all worked together to get our voices heard and stand up for ourselves. Carly and Jordyn held our community meetings in the mustang pod and really did make us feel heard, like we deserve. I do wish we got longer phone call time. There was some awful days, but definitely some really good days. I repeatedly told myself this is temporary and it will all be worth it in the end, and it was. I do not regret going. I did what I needed to do and learned to be proud of myself for doing such a hard thing.
