If you value your mental health do not walk through the doors. FIND ALTERNATE CAREGIVERS…read more Unfortunate that a place that is a NON-PROFIT this is all for profit and not their clients needs. They attempt to monopolize on your sickness and make them your EXCLUSIVE provider. (With horrific care, no appointments, poor leadership, broken elevators, and poor health care all around) Disaster from day one at initial intake process. Till last day walked out in total disparity. If you are competent and have any common sense this is NOT the place for you. It's for way under functioning CAPACITY individuals. You spend more time chasing their employees to do their job. IOP- DBT- Jenna is amazing, but the passive aggressive attitude from one of the clinicians isn't very helpful. But they do the best they can. Honestly you get in what you put out here. Case Management: 2nd biggest failure with this company. Requested case management at initial intake 7/18. 1st the request "glitched" and was never received.... Spend every day after iop trying to follow up. Finally got a meeting with LISA RAND who had all these great things to say and would get someone to help me. Gave me a case worker that was never there. But no one would tell me why. They (front desk) would say I'll send a message to her. I had an eviction case to prepare for and the case manager never showed up. Then when the office finally tracked her down she came down and said "well, let's go" like I did something wrong sitting there waiting for 45 minutes.... I was not comfortable meeting with this individual so requested a new case manager. Then I was the bad guy.... The excuse offered was that she was in a meeting in a dead zone then ended with celebrating Lisa Rands surprise birthday..... New case manager was nice and TRUTHFUL. Just not very helpful for my situation. HOUSING: LIES LIES LIES DO NOT BELIEVE THEM THAT THEY WILL NOT HELP YOU WITH HOUSING. They lie and will string you along. I was feed so many lies that I'm now living in my car. I'm glad that I have their housing manager BOBBI JO on recording lying about housing and back stepping from things previously said. I was told Because of my severe medical conditions that I could be bumped up THE WAITLIST so I wouldn't be homeless and living in my car. I was also told that LISA AND BOBBI JO were working with the Columbus house med res floor for when the eviction happened. After being told 4 different things from 4 different people I met with Kathleen , Lisa and BobbiJo whereas they looked at me like I had 10 heads and was purple.... Clearly there was a severe communication problem or something was wrong. There is an email stating the previous" working on solutions for client" and is now being denied it exists. Too bad others already said it does and IT will pull it. Many of the mental health agencies around the state send people to BH care for their housing because that is what they are told and unfortunately BH care does nothing. **Turnbridge saved my daughter**…read more My daughter was at Turnbridge for just under two months. Before she went there she was beginning to head down the wrong path. So we decided this program was what she needed to get back on track. In the beginning it was very hard for her to adjust to being there. She kept calling and was crying and said she wants to come home and made promises to change. Myself and my family and her mother encouraged her to hang in there and to try and block out the negativity. She tried to manipulate and come up with statements that weren't necessarily true. She ended up getting a new counselor/clinician quickly and got to work with Alissa. It took her almost a month to get fully adjusted and accept that she needed to really work on what she said she originally went there for which was substance use and also mental health. We began to notice that as time went on she wasn't asking to come home anymore when she made her calls to us each night. Her mood slowly started to improve. She became invested in bettering herself and did the assignments that were asked of her. Both myself and her mom participated in family therapy sessions and we began to notice that she was starting to put the work in to better herself. In addition, she was also learning about herself and how she is around other people. We got word that the treatment team wanted to do neurological testing to get some answers on some behavioral concerns they observed. The results of the neurological testing were a game changer! They showed that my daughter has Autism, which looking back explained a lot about her behavior, but because she masked her symptoms and feelings we couldn't tell for sure. She was accepting of this diagnosis. And now we can figure out how to best support her going forward. My daughter graduated and successfully completed Turnbridge Residential in Woodbury, CT on 9/12/25. Words can't expressed how thankful my family and my ex (her mom) are that she went to Turnbridge. It was rough in the beginning, but she made it through. My parents and my ex (her mom) and their family noticed during the visits how much my daughter has grown and changed for the better. Parents realize that the key for success if they send their child there is for the individual to put the time and effort in and that will bring success. My daughter learned that a lot of the things she was saying about Turnbridge and what was going on were things she was building up in her own mind. Special special thanks and shoutouts go to Justin and Alissa!!! They were and are amazing and caring and wanted my daughter to succeed!!! They helped my daughter so much and gave her skills she can use in the future!!! Thanks to Chelsea for your support as well with everything! Thank you Dr. Minhas, Tammy Platt and Dr. Colwell!! Both Justin and Alissa expressed how proud they are of my daughter with how successful she was while in the program. I've been in the social work field for 24 years and have worked in residential programs in NJ. To parents who are wondering about whether to have your loved one go to Turnbridge for help, definitely give them consideration and a chance. My daughter is now happy and in a better place because of Turnbridge!

I've remained sober from drinking & was blessed to get pregnant in 2025 and my husband and I welcomed a beautiful healthy baby girl, that wouldn't have happened without the staff at paramount, forever grateful for the experience and care I received. I was debating on this review for over a year, but now im sharing my experience Enrolling with paramount 0/10 When we looked into care my husband was talking with James who stated during my time there he would be getting updates on me, being able to talk to me once I moved up to residency and also stated my insurance was covered and in network. I was not in the right state to clarify this at the time myself to the staff members before my arrival. My husband was told false information and told him what he wanted to hear so they could get me in ASAP. We knew nothing about rehab centers as this was the first time for myself and anyone in the family. We believed everything we heard. New patient screening 0/10 When I got to paramount the nurse on was a male nurse and the CCC who was on shift that night she was female. The nurse did my body check and was fully exposed in front of a male stranger, it was extremely uncomfortable. I eventually brought this to the attention of the director Cassandra and nothing was done and was brushed under the rug, to avoid any type of sexual harassment or law suit, Rooming experience 8/10 I got my own room during detox and residency. The rooms were spacious with a lot of storage, comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and showers. Rating 8/10 as my original room had a plumbing issue and we had to move rooms. Food: 10/10 !!! One of the best things about this place. Group/1:1 therapy 7/10 towards the end of my stay the curriculum tended to repeat for the new comers. Lack of communication on what was mandatory and what wasn't. One class was not mandatory "morning moment" and became mandatory one day and I got in trouble for being late. You would meet with the director or this other woman who is no longer there and ask how the experience was, nothing would change from it and if you voiced your opinion which was negative they would be combative and talk down on you. 1:1 therapist actually caused many issues in my relationship not helped and said if I didn't do PHP Id go back to drinking. I'm thriving in my relationship by the way & still sober Other issues: Since my husband was misinformed at the beginning regarding phone calls. He called multiple times to try and talk to someone about what's going on. He was extremely frustrated as staff members would take messages but no calls back, this went on for weeks. He googled the director to try and find an additional number or direct extension and ended up getting her cell. Despite me not knowing any of this at the time, I got "punished" and got my visitation and phone calls taken away at my last week. Very unprofessional and the upper management avoided me until I left. It literally caused unnecessary drama lol Everything else, the staff members, CCCs, activities 10/10 they really made the experience something I'll never forget. It helped shape who I am today and gathered all my knowledge for the "tools in the toolbox" I carry with me today and everyday.

Going into detox is scary and full of unknowns, but James made the process crystal-clear and made my loved one feel super comfortable going in. In addition to the medical aspects of detox, they also received therapy and a case worker dedicated to helping them recover and work through the root causes of their addiction. A special shoutout to Kayla and Dr. James on that front! As an aside, not the purpose of going into detox whatsoever--but they had nothing but great things to say about the food! Trust that you (or your loved one) will be well-fed. Recovery isn't linear. However, I know that my loved one is off to a great start thanks to all of the support they received at Paramount! I can't thank them enough.
