Many of our friends recommended the Southington Care Center, and we were fortunate to get in there. I cannot speak more highly of this organization! Attentive, skilled, and caring Nurses, CNAs, and Aides. And the PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists were not only highly skilled and effective, but they all had amazing and genuine interpersonal skills - a very rare combination. The supporting staff from Admissions to the Social Worker/Transitions professionals, and other Staff were simply great. Other reviews mentioned issues with the food - but we found the food to be unexpectedly well-prepared and delicious! Sure, 5 weeks, 3 meals a day, to hundreds of patients, there were a couple "misses". But my Wife and I were stunned at how good the food was overall. Great job everybody! We are SO grateful that Carol was able to go to the Southington Care Center. (A Note to management... and this is NOT a SCC issue... I STRONGLY recommend you find a different Wheelchair Ambulatory Service than that from "Nazim" [860-990-1172]. Review of Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center…read more My experience with Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center was extremely disappointing and unacceptable. I was scheduled for eye surgery this morning, arrived on time, and was blindsided by being told my surgery was cancelled. The reason they gave was that I hadn't taken my medications correctly. This is not true. Weeks before my surgery, I went through the required pre-operative physical. During that appointment, I was given a strict list of what medications to take the day before surgery and the day of surgery. I followed those directions exactly as instructed. To make matters worse, the information given to me verbally, the printed list I was sent home with, and the instructions I was told on the morning of surgery all conflicted with one another. On the day of my surgery, they suddenly told me I should have stopped one of my medications two days earlier and that proceeding could be "very dangerous." If that's true, it should have been crystal clear from the very beginning. Patients should never be left guessing between three different sets of instructions. This was not just an inconvenience--it was a major disruption to my life. In preparation for surgery, I followed every instruction: I fasted and I made the 40-minute drive to the center. After checking in and going through the stress of preparing for surgery, I was told only at that point that my procedure was cancelled. I then had to turn around and drive another 40 minutes home. To be treated this way, after taking every precaution and doing everything I was told, is both disrespectful and irresponsible. Patients deserve so much better. We deserve: Clear, consistent medical guidance that does not change depending on who we speak to or when we arrive. Reliable and professional organization, so that dangerous mistakes and last-minute cancellations do not happen. Respect for our time, health, and effort. Patients make sacrifices--fasting, arranging transportation, and mentally preparing for surgery. To have all of that dismissed due to disorganization is unacceptable. A basic level of accountability. Confirming appointments and ensuring instructions align should be their job--not something patients have to chase or piece together on their own. This facility's disorganization caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and put me at risk. If this is how they handle something as critical as surgery preparation, it raises serious questions about how they manage patient care overall. I hope they address these issues for future patients.

I went to 3 other chiropractors that would have me come into their office every week to be adjusted for YEARS without lasting results. When insurance ran out after 5 annual sessions, I was paying out of pocket for YEARS. Dr. Lauren Zolnowsky is SO different! Her aims to FIX the person's body mechanics so you are HEALED! WHAT?! I know, right?! *shock face* Her experience is over the top extensive and she fixed my back pain in the FIRST session! My sacral (butt bone) was twisted plus out of alignment and she repositioned it. My fibula (leg bone) was OFF my ankle causing a 1/2 inch hip tilt, knee and leg pain. Dr. Z put my leg bone onto my ankle bone. This straightened out my hips and knees! Bam! Back, hip, knee and leg pain gone! WHAT?! I know, right?! *continued shock face* Then she did Low Level Laser on my head and neck which calmed my OCD, type A brain like a vacation. The next 2 appointments, I had Dr. Z adjust every joint including my collarbones and I feel 30 years younger! She broke up leg scar tissue from a skiing accident I had 30 years ago. I no longer need to see her. *blink, blink, disbelief* 3 sessions and done and I can move with ease! Hallelujah! I gladly paid without insurance! I was so thrilled that I made my husband go to Dr. Z with his SEVERE 30 year old feet and shin pain. He tried my other chiropractors, foot surgery, shoe inserts, etc. with no relief. Dr. Z adjusted his feet and broke up the stuck scar tissue that was limiting his shin and feet movement. He saw Dr. Z a few days ago and still has full relief and is walking well. How simple was that?! God honest truth! My horseback riding niece is so impressed with our results, she is making appointments for her boyfriend and herself. She has bounced off horses and has back and hip pain. Her boyfriend is a mechanic/ electrician and sleeps on the couch do to shoulder pain. I look forward to their relief stories! Happy healing!
