Whoa....delicious. That's it! Adding more descriptors would be a distraction. I had the Tlayuda, if a medium pizza and a tostada had a baby, and it was fantastic: crispy, smoky, grilled and fresh all in one. The wife had vegetarian gorditas and I'm pretty sure the sentiment is Taco Bell who? We're not from around here, but Eugene...where's the line? I recently had the three tacos here: carne asada, pollo, and al pastor. Everything was a lot less flavorful than I had hoped. It's a good place for people who don't want their food too spicy. Silva's Taqueria is a brand new food truck in the Friendly Garden pod. They specialize in authentic Oaxacan food and their menu offers items like tlayudas, memelas, and molotes, along the standard tacos, burritos, and tortas... I tried out an order of memelas (3 for $10). I would describe these as tacos on steroids. They are twice as long as a taco, and tortilla was thicker than a standard one, and it had all kinds of interesting salsas on it along with a good serving of meat (various options). Overall they were absolutely delicious and it was a generous amount of food for the price. I also had a order of their rice & beans ($4) which was also really good. It came with a little cheese and overall it wasn't very heavily seasoned. The horchata was decent for the price ($2) but I will probably try a hibiscus agua fresca next time. All the food was super fresh and handmade, and because of this it takes some time to cook. You might want to call-in your order. I'm really excited to work my way through the menu and experience authentic Oaxacan cuisine! read more

Got 1 taquito and the carne asada burrito. I ordered 1 taco dorado. They usually come in 4s but the man taking my order let me order just 1. The dorado taco was top tier restaurant quality. The burrito is very good as well, but the taquito (derado taco) is a league above. read more

Super authentic Oaxacan cuisine - the best food in Mexico presented at this cart! Tlayudas, memelas, huaraches, sooo good!

They have 3 for $10 items on the menu and they let us choose 3 different things! The quesadilla was way better and different than I was expecting. It was deep fried, made with Mexican cheese and had black refried beans and other stuff on top! The Gordita and memela were so good! It was filling. I thought I was going to have to buy more food but my husband ended up having to finish off my plate. I'm not sure if this truck is always here but we ate at the Friendly Garden, listening to music while we ate. Fun environment. read more

Located in the aptly named Friendly Food-cart Pod, this food truck delivers delightful dishes that are sure to please any famished soul. The menu was not too large which I like because not only does it take second guessing out of the equation but, you'll feel less anxiety about what right thing to choose especially if you don't know some of the items. Since it's my first time here I went basic with the marinated pork burrito and my girlfriend got the Molotes. The burrito not only delivered on size but also on flavor. The chunks of meat were very well seasoned and even had a nice crisp to coincide with the juiciness of the marinade similar to a carnita. Molotes we're also on point and would order again. Service and prices were very exceptional. I highly recommend solely based on the quality of food. The prices, great service and atmosphere are an added bonus for sure read more

I'm just in town for a short time and was happy to see this place in the friendly neighborhood. As a heritage barely Spanish speaking Latino guy I always love to try the Mexican food when I travel. I ordered the chilaquiles for me and my gf. We're both pescatarian so it's a great no-meat option. My mom used to make me chilaquiles when I was a kid and I love them. These chilaquiles were green sauce, which is different than my mom's red sauce variety. They had a fried egg on top instead of mixed in. But there were super delicious and I sit here happy as I type this review. Recommend to any other vegetarians or pescatarians. read more

The food here is AMAZING, and ready in only minutes. The chorizo is delicious, the adobada perfectly seasoned. The fresh oxacan cheese is tender and creamy. But the standout winner is the fresh, hand made tortillas. So flavorful, perfect texture, tender and crispy. I have loved everything I've tried so far. read more

The guac is green cheeze whiz. Food is uniformly bland. Thankfully 3 other awesome food trucks at the garden.

I ordered the pork empanada and pork tacos. The empanada was full of so much sauce with very little meat and was really bad. The tacos had tiny little pieces of meat and some kind of green sauce (guacamole crema?) that was flavorless. It was $17 total and went into the trash. Will not go there again. Waited 20 minutes for bad food. I love good authentic Mexican food and unfortunately this is not it. read more

I am sick after eating here. I ordered guacamole, salsa and chips and never have I been more disappointed. It was inedible in ways I hadn't imagined possible. The guacamole was the most under seasoned, bland and completely disgusting concoction imaginable. My table of four all agree. It was blended in a blender until it was bland baby food . Absolutely no seasonings. No salt. No citrus. I even complained with reasons why and they remade it. It was still the worst I've ever had. Just inedible over processed baby food type goo. I hardly ate any of this crap, but I'm visiting the toilet every few minutes now. Worst of the worst. Please avoid this place. They do not know what good food is supposed to be or they just don't care. read more
