Having a condition called dermatographism,I am extra cautious on choosing some skin care like this. Elsa is a true professional. I found her from Groupon and decided that I have found my go-to facial expert. I have gotten several different kinds of facials but I think my favorite is the fruit enzyme. You just want to eat your face...Yum...yum. Elsa also recommended a product that she sells that worked on those blemishes that you feel are coming under your skin. You know the kind...I am on my 2nd bottle and I use it on a monthly basis so a little goes a long way. And it works wonders!!! If I feel a blemish coming up, I dab it with this blemish control and the blemish goes away. It's truly amazing. The shop is cute and conveniently located in the Montrose area shopping mall. She was very nice and knowledgeable about the types of products that she used. She also gave me helpful tips on how to take care of my skin. The whole facial experience was very relaxing and I enjoyed the mini massage at the end. I loved the facial so much that I bought the charcoal mask and that too, was amazing. Wow, what a great visit I had here. Being a dude, I've never had a facial before; however, after a few weekends of being out in the sun and wind, my significant other suggested that a tune up would be in order. Enter Silky Skin and Elsa, the owner/esthetician. I was expecting some cleansing and exfoliating during my visit, but it was much more of an experience than that. The whole process was very relaxing (I think I even fell asleep for a bit), and included a facial and hand massage. There were other treatments she used as well, not quite sure what they were, but they left me feeling and looking great. Bottom line is that Elsa is great at what she does, and makes sure her clients have a great experience. She's got a great touch - very thorough, but soothing at the same. I never thought I would be a facial guy, but I will definitely be back! A sidenote: Silky Skin is located in the Reflection salon. I read some of the reviews about the salon after my visit, and it looks like they had an esthetician there a few years back that wasn't very good. If there was an award for person with the most blackheads I would probably win. My skin is on the oily side and I have too many blackheads- which was the main issue I wanted to address. Elsa was so gentle on my skin and I didn't get the painful uncomfortable feeling I usually get when my skin is being extracted. She analyzed my skin, then ushered me to her cozy facial room. She made it a point to explain each step that she was about to do, and what your skin might feel once a product is applied to the face.
