There is the normal firm tofu, Basil Tofu, Feta-like tofu, and Chicken Substitute Tofu. They also have a nice array of fruits and vegetables. *Note - most of the stuff here is super expensive; however their herb selection is priced very well and at a great value. So definitely pick up your fresh herbs here. They also have great specialty items like Tahini, just know you're paying an arm and a leg. Worth it if you really need to made a kick-butt hummus.

Like with it's neighbours Lawlors or Connollys, F&V is not the cheapest shop of its kind in the city, but they do stock quality. And fresh veg too, like beetroot. I've recently started using fresh beetroot and F&V was the first place I've found it in. Evergreen on Wexford street only had the vacuum packed peeled beetroot the last time I was there. Their Queens potatoes were delicious also. They also sell cheese and cured meats, as well as other artisan foodstuffs. Recommended.

Also, this is the only Asian grocery in the area that doesn't smell funny. For your benefit, I will list a few items below that I have since purchased at Asian Food Co. which were ridiculously less-expensive than anywhere else: giant cans of garbanzo beans (chickpeas) 18 fresh eggs for €2 falafel selection of 5 baklava for €1.50 tahini garlic coriander naan easy heat vegetarian Indian meals 2-for-1 €1.50 curry coconut milk corriander mangos onions habanero peppers butternut squash 1/4 cut of a pumpkin japaense eggplant (long, skinny aubergines) and the grand finale product unseen in Ireland... ...perfectly ripe avocados.

It serves the Islamic community, putting people of the same faith in contact with one another. The shop sells religious books, prayer beads and DVDs. In a neighbourhood where halal shops are a dime a dozen, Shop Easi is the biggest, and as far as I can tell has the best selection. The one exception might be the fruit and veg- it often looks fresher or riper in the place across the street next to the post office. Now's the time of year when mangoes are in season- go get a great deal on a big box of yellow "honey" mangoes. They're gorgeously sweet and will win you people's hearts in an instant. Yum!

They have a new deli counter where I spotted a tasty roasted duck and on the other side of the shop, there's a fridge full of fizzy Korean drinks. Part of the fun is guessing what items are.
