This was more than a total gut job, with scope including: new supply plumbing, breakers, wiring, floors, shower, window, and ceilings. Needless to say, we needed a GC who could bring a breadth of experience. I'm not going to add the before pictures, but the old bathroom was in complete disrepair, poorly laid out, and badly dated--the results, we feel, are beautiful and functional. Sean and I selected the tiles and fixtures--Carlos was very flexible with building our vision for the space. CNTC was creative working around constraints such as proximity to the foundation, immobile ducting, and drain lines for the upstairs bathroom. He rolled with the punches when new issues were discovered to make sure the work got done right. The crew was polite, professional, detail-oriented, and trustworthy. 10/10, will use again.

I was slightly hesitant to use a company that didn't have much of an internet presence, however I know that homegrown businesses are generally cheaper because they have less overhead. I sent Luis a message here on Yelp and he responded relatively quickly with an estimate (which he stuck to even with some slight modifications to the project during the work). Few days later and he was here with his crew on a Saturday and ready to roll. The project took them a few hours, and Luis had to make a couple trips to Home Depot during the job. The entire time they were here, they were very professional and respectful of my property. They used wood and metal to cover up the pipes, and everything was measured perfectly, and his "finisher" came to the house to repaint them to match the textured paint on the existing basement wall. I have to say it came out looking better than I could have imagined. They cleaned up after themselves pretty well and Luis was very nice to talk to. I wouldn't hesitate to use Luis again for a construction job. He does quality work and stuck to his initial estimate.

Florencio was very responsive from the get go. He gave me an extremely reasonable quote within a week or so of me reaching out. Overall our renovation project took about 2 months (that was for 2 total bathroom remodels plus taking out an entire wall, a new bedroom floor, and a kitchen backsplash). We took a 2 week hiatus for Christmas and new years and we only allowed one bathroom to be worked on at a time so we weren't without a shower or toilet. Our countertop install was referred out to a different contractor, and we didn't love that experience but that wasn't Florencio's fault at that point. We were responsible for buying all material (it's not included in his quote) but I preferred that. I felt like there was more transparency because I knew exactly where my money was going. We were able to get a much higher quality renovation for the price than we would've with the other companies we reached out to. Anything Florencio's workers had to buy for us was reflected and added to the quote. Otherwise we just paid for the labor. He charges as he goes (we paid a deposit and then paid per room basically). Our best experiences were with Greg doing tile and Raul doing plumbing. Also, his demo and flooring team worked super fast and were as well. We would definitely use Florencio again for home projects! While the workers show up at different times during the day, Florencio always responded very quickly to me when I asked him who was showing up and when. We love all the new work and our house feels brand new thanks to Florencio and his team!

I hired them to re-attach a wood railing to a second-story Trex deck, and they did a good job. I…read moreasked them specifically to attach it in such a way that it did not puncture the roofing, and they were careful to attach it at many points to the Trex without going all the way down to the roof. Before I got to Rodriguez Remodeling, I had contacted directly several other contractors, all of whom either replied that they don't do that kind of work or did not reply at all. Then I tried the Yelp "Request a Quote" feature for a likely contractor (who replied that they do not do that kind of work) but got a response in a few hours from Rodriguez Remodeling. The Request a Quote feature has an option to send your job description to competing contractors as well as the one you are looking at. I've tried this feature a couple of times and it has worked well. The owner, Florencio Rodriguez, came out the next day to inspect the job and sent me a quote a week later. After some negotiation I gave him the go-ahead, and he sent one of his worker out the same day to do the work. So overall I had a very good experience with this contractor. Their only drawback is that they seem very expensive. They charged me about $2,900 for the job, which took one person less than a day and a little bit of materials, which seems very high. On the other hand, I had been trying for several months to get the work done, so I was relieved to have it completed and done so well.

I recently had a gutter system installed in my basement, in order to mitigate a flooding issue. To…read moredo that, the company who performed the installation had to demo all the drywall and framing along the exterior wall, remove tile flooring in a bathroom and a closet, and pull up most of the carpet. In short, they had to nearly un-finish my entire basement. CRBS was one of only a handful of contractors who would even return my request for an estimate, and their bid was the lowest by a few thousand dollars. They repaired the framing, replaced retextured & repainted the drywall, reinstalled what tile they could salvage from the bathroom, then custom-cut/painted new tile to match, completely retiled the closet, stripped & epoxied the laundry room floor, installed new baseboard, restretched the carpet and even did some new electrical work, all while coming in under their estimate. There were only a couple of minor issues with the job, both of which were immediately remedied. They even worked on a weekend to fix one, which I still feel kinda bad about. They were also very flexible in scheduling. An issue with the company installing the gutter resulted in that job getting delayed by a couple of weeks. CRBS was able to accommodate that last-minute change and get me rescheduled within a week. They also put me in touch with a restoration company that helped me unload, store, then replace the contents of my basement. I'd happily use their services again.
