The decor is very modern (and a little strange) but it works! Not so sure about the concrete tables (literally secured into the floor with the iron rods that you would see on a building site) but hey ho I guess it's "Art". The loos also have that industrial feel as the doors are big, heavy metal doors. But I did like the modern lights that surrounded the bar and dance floor area. Right the good stuff- food and drinks! I will certainly go back for the food, I loved the complimentary canapés on offer - mini cones of salmon and cream cheese with caviar, doughnut type things with beef and gravy (sounds weird, but it's so good!), chicken coated with breadcrumbs and lots of other yummy treats. The cocktails were incredibly good and potent (and all of course made with the wonderful Crystal Head Vodka). A thoroughly great night (the complimentary cocktails, canapés and Prosecco reception were a great bonus).

I would recommend it for cocktails and a chilled weekday drink. Not sure what it would be like on a Friday or Saturday

Our visit was brunch, we shared sourdough toast and a toasted breakfast muffin. Both were perfect, along with a matcha oat latte and a regular latte that complemented our choices. Service was prompt and polite. We were able to settle our bill by scanning a QR code on the table. Interior decor feels like you are sitting in a gazebo. There are a good number of inside tables and a few on the sidewalk in front. We noticed this is a dog friendly cafe as there were quite a few furry guests seated. This is one cafe you shouldn't miss.

The space is huge with a garden area around the sides and even a shuffleboard table at the back. The food menu consists of about ten pizzas and a couple appetizer options. Never would've thought of putting pesto on a pizza that has nduja and chorizo. It all completed really well and I would definitely get this pizza again. There are about a dozen beer taps with a good variety of beer which is a welcome change from places with just variations on lagers and pilseners. They also have a couple fridges of canned beers which you can drink or takeaway. Will definitely return.

Like apartment listings, what some might call cramped I call cozy. There are potted flowers and lots of knickknacks all around. Even the bathroom is cute. And who can beat a door made from a phone booth? I like being able to see what's going on in the kitchen too - it feels hectic but fun. For food, I've tried the veggie burger, lamb burger, chicken burger (my fave), and chips (always extra-crispy), and seen table-mates get the falafel and the chicken salad. The veggie burger needs something to hold it together better; it kind of became a mess as I ate it, but a yummy mess at that. The burgers really are as big as your face, so if you get chips on the side, it's enough to be a meal for two. I've also had the breakfast fry up, which is definitely enough for two. It came with egg, sausage, bacon, beans, mushroom, tomato, and toast. So deliciously yummy, especially on a cold morning.

This fun and quirky place has already become a popular haunt for many of the students from across the road. It's fun and rustic approach was bound to go down well with the mixed bag that attend Goldsmiths Uni. It mainly seems to serve up burgers and coffee and I believe they have plans to apply for an alcohol licence, which will inevitably be a added bonus to this small joint. The food is prepared in an open kitchen, meaning you can see, in close intimacy what's going on your plate. There aren't actually many places you can/want to sit down and eat in New Cross and any addition is a welcome. However saying that, it is tiny. So tiny that if there is more than 2 people queuing for a coffee you are standing in the main doorway. Due to the size and popularity, when I did venture in it was a battle and the place was simply heaving. The staff seemed really flustered and my simple coffee request took much longer than average expectations. Still saying that, I will be back. There's no comparison to it in the area and the simple menu looks like just what you need on a cosy night out with friends.
