I adore this cafe!
Living close by, I've passed this cafe so many times before I decided to stop in. They've got a great corner location, with many passing by on the busy crosswalk. The atmosphere is warm and bright, with great ceramic decor, and a real, down-to-earth feel. I see (who I assume to be) the owner there most days, and his mother is the cook of the wonderful cuisine!
As a vegetarian, they have a great array of salads and warm stews to serve for lunch, not to mention gargantuan sandwiches. I also have stopped in for a cuppa and cake: the Rose and almond GF cake was absolutely superb. They also sell some dry goods and wines, the shelves are packed with different items that I've yet to discover.
This is what you get from a small independent cafe- good quality food, that is different every day. I can't recommend it enough. The owner is extremely sweet, and he's got my custom for as long as I'm in the area! read more
