Darrell and his crew were fantastic from start to finish. I reached out to Mercer on Wednesday,…read moreApril 1st, and Darrell personally came out to my home in Fort Worth the very next day to take a look and provide a quote. What really stood out to me was his knowledge. He pointed out a couple of invasive trees in my yard that needed to be removed right away, which I wouldn't have caught on my own (mulberry and chinaberry trees). We walked the property together, talked through what needed trimming or cleanup, and he gave me a quote on the spot, then followed up with it by email. Once I approved everything, they came out on April 6th and got right to work. Darrell and his team were incredibly efficient. They handled everything we discussed in just over an hour, which honestly surprised me. On top of that, they even replanted a plant I wanted to keep into a large outdoor vase that had a dead plant inside of it. They cleaned up all the debris and left the yard looking fresh and well cared for. The pricing was very fair, and there were no surprises. Right before they wrapped up, I asked if they could also remove a tree that had recently damaged a retaining wall near my front porch. Darrell took care of it quickly and charged a very reasonable additional price. Payment was easy through Zelle, which made the whole process even smoother. If my yard ever gets out of hand again, I won't hesitate to call Mercer. I'm very happy with the work they did.

Despite my offer to provide city plans, he declined and assured me he would verify easement locations--he did not. As a result, the slab was poured on the easement, and Tuff Shed refused full installation, leaving my shed partially on grass. I also reported a sprinkler leak during construction, which he ignored, leading to months of backyard flooding that damaged our fence and landscaping. The site was left messy, with leftover concrete and rocks. Two months post-installation, the porch developed deep cracks. I reached out via text 42 times and called repeatedly between January and March; he only showed up once and has since disappeared. Very disappointing experience. Proceed with caution.

Hi Yelpers. So once again, I am moved to write a review. I am caught up in life and sometimes I…read morejust get behind on finding time to write a review. I have to have a experience that moves me one way or the other now. This was such an experience. I read your reviews, I trust them, but I make decisions still, based on my gut and own research. I don't see a 1 star review, and think it is all encompassing. I don't see a 5 star, and trust it to mean it can be globalized either. Enter Charlie, with Cleaner Greens Lawn and Landscape. In part, I chose him because I am a military veteran, and I understand and try to support other veteran owned or operated businesses, or service providers. I know it takes finesse, and a special kind of person to navigate us veterans in most cases, as we are wired different following our service to this country. We don't need special handling instructions, but we do move in a different manner because of our experience. Our expectations of our work, and efforts, can be a bit meticulous. We want to go the extra mile, and don't need much recognition that we do. I had a couple of issues and needed my irrigation systems prepped for next spring. That meant I needed someone that could be flexible, since I have two systems, two different homes, leaks, but also ME. Yes, me. I am also a vet, so my wants are also exacting, detailed and I can be too direct or demanding. Maybe even intense. Put two of us together....? You do the math... Well I had a couple of concerns that needed to be addressed after the initial services, and I was impatient in awaiting a reply. Charlie, as the consummate pro, walked me through the mine field back to reassurance he would definitely come through and figure it out. He did, the same day. Promise kept. This is a rarity in business these days. A business that stands up for and by their craft, and work. Was he a bit arrogant? Maybe. But when you have the work behind it, you should be if that work is called into question. So in those other reviews, there may be a bit of truth in the 1 star reviews. I do know part of that is his no nonsense approach to his work, but some of it might have been the customers own expectations. Is Charlie a little rough around the edges.. maybe. Maybe he is all edges. Military service rewires us as people, and designs us for battle, for actual war, combat, not planting flowers, but ending lives. It is something most vets, and family members of veterans understand. Not to excuse us, but maybe to help others understand. As well, his prices are somewhere in the middle, but his actual work is top shelf. He didn't leave trash anywhere, and you can have an actual conversation with him about every detail of the service, and he gives you details in a manner you can understand even if you've never worked on your own system as I have. I hope when you are looking for a sprinkler service, you read the reviews, trust your gut, and then when taking bids for the job, add Cleaner Greens as one of your options. And remember, are you looking for professional worksmanship at a value, or a friend? I was looking for the first, and got just that. Now when spring comes, I am confident, even if there is a snafu, Charlie will be ready to show up, and get things on track. As always. Take care of yourselves. Make sure you find something good to laugh about today. Share joy with a stranger, make a new friend. Hug those you love and hug your danged self as well. Peace to all.
