Outstanding customer service! I called Callier Thompson for…read moreadvice as who to contact to find a bathroom leak on the second level of our home that leaked through the 1st floor ceiling. Callier Thompson had renovated one of our 2nd floor bathrooms almost a decade earlier. I was more than surprised to hear they would send a foreman out to investigate the source of the leak. Matthew arrived to discover that after years of use a small area in the grout had deteriorated to allow water through. He cane several times to repair the grout, removed and replaced the damaged area of the ceiling re-sanded and repainted.....all done free for us! You don't find that kind of support often these days. We recently completed our second project with Callier & Thompson, and we couldn't be more pleased…read morewith both experiences and the results. The original project consisted of a complete remodel of a full bathroom in our 1920's home, of which we enjoy today as much as when the remodel was done 13 years ago. The second project comprised of a two-story addition with completely remodeled and expanded kitchen and half bath on the first floor, and a new primary suite luxury bath, walk-in closet, laundry closet, and covered porch on the second floor. The job required coordination with the city architectural review board, an architect, engineer, and sub-contractors, all handled by Callier & Thompson in a professional and timely manner. We highly recommend this firm for their customer service, design capability, high quality products, and outstanding craftmanship. We look forward to working with them again! --David & Kristina

My wife and I have done a number of classes at Kitchen Conservatory. All of them follow the same…read moregeneral pattern. The class will have a handful of different courses, and participants are each assigned to prep one dish. At the end of the night the dishes are all pulled together and everyone eats a meal together. We have taken pizza throwing, a couple pasta making, a Great British Bake Off, and a "Low Country" seafood class. We have enjoyed all of them. A couple things to note. The quality of the classes can be hit or miss based upon the person organizing. Some have been absolutely fantastic, and others are just okay. No matter what I've still enjoyed myself. The classes are expensive, there is no way around that. However, for all of the classes you end up with a good meal and then some alcoholic beverage (mixed drinks or wine). So I view the $120-$160 per couple cost as the equivalent of a nice dinner, along with some entertainment and a fun activity. Some additional notes. The new facility on Manchester is just beautiful. It is a huge step up from the spot in Clayton. They also have a great selection of high end cooking/baking accessories that I highly recommend. I have a pie pan I got after one class that is one of my all time favorites.

It had been many years since my last visit to Kitchen Conservatory, we had gone to the previous…read morelocation and had an average time but after a decade or so I decided it was time to try again. Wrong. There were two simultaneous pasta classes going. Our group seemed to have no clear direction. There were two pasta rollers and each kept malfunctioning with the handles falling off. It was at this point one couple left. It only went downhill from there. My sister kept saying we should just leave but I wanted to learn how to make pasta! And I paid a lot for this class so i was going to learn! But I did not. The revolt began and people just began cooking on their own (which in the end turned out quite well!!) just so we could eat at some point. We could hear the other class drinking wine and sitting down to eat, and our lasagna wasn't even in the oven yet. Another ominous sign. Our chef was very kind but it was clear he was not ready for this. It was my second and last visit to the KC, I walked away with no additional skills. Waste of 3.5 hours (though the class was scheduled for only 2.5) and 65 bucks.
