I suggested maybe it was another employee. He said he was the only one that worked there. Then proceeds to imply that I brought him another identically broken cushion. He implied that Im lying. I asked for a refund for the work that was not completed. He refused. TERRIBLE customer service. I'll never be back.

But, lets focus. I couldn't (h)yelp myself but to give this cleaner/tailor 5 starts! Yea! Lets be frank (that means candid here in the Midwest), most cleaners do an ok job. They also usually don't do a GREAT job tailoring. Not the case here. I always find a tailor where I live. I like to buy clothes a little bigger or on the sale rack and have them fit to size (or to me that is). I have taken a shirt that my parents gave me for x-mas (being a good son I want to wear it) here to get sized. My parents usually get one of two things wrong: size, style. In this case (whew), they got the size wrong. I brought this in and it came back better than I could have asked. The owner (I assume because he is there everyday) even said, "you buy more slim next time." As if he didn't want my business. What a guy. Then, I got a sweet pair of Rock & Republic jeans for $80 (normally $250+). But, they were more like the baggy style of the 90's. So, I took in a pair that I sleep in (meaning that I wear often - it was hard not to have them for the week), and asked him to mimic the R&R to match the "sample." What do you think happened? Yep, he nailed it (doing the "yes" like Christina Applegate in Anchorman)! I have new jammys. :) Overall, this place is just one of the best in a long line of taking a chance wanna beeees. If you have to drive 30 mins, just do it. I'll walk the two miles there if I have to. Oh, the dry cleaning is on the money also.

As we had overall trouble with the bridal salon, she had carefully inspected this dress. When I picked up the dress, she did not inspect the dress at Country Cleaners. When she brought it home, I took it out of the dry cleaning bag to try it on with new shoes. I immediately noted 3 stains down the back of the skirt. They appeared to be either grease or ink. The largest was the size of a fingernail, the smallest about 1/2 that size. (In addition, they did not steam the dress, they pressed it and pleated the skirt.) I called the cleaners to find out what could be done. Over the phone, I got the run around in increasingly worsening English. (It wasn't their location, it came in with the dress, etc.) I brought the dress in to the cleaners that afternoon - I needed to wear it in 2 days. Again, I got the run around about the spots, again in increasingly bad English. I wanted to know if they could attempt to clean the dress while I waited - I was told that I could leave it and come back the next day (apparently 1 hour is just part of the name). The lady at the counter made no offer to reassure or compensate me. (When I later described her to my mother, I was told she was a long time employee - either a manager or owner and normally spoke clear English.) I did not leave the dress with them.

In September 2010 I picked up my dry cleaning and about a week later I realized that one of my suits was missing. I checked with the cleaners and they told me did not have it. I was upset but chalked it to being my fault for not checking that everything was there when I picked the dry cleaning up. Two weeks ago I dropped off my dry cleaning. A couple days later I got a phone call from them stating that one of the blouses had a tear in it so they would not clean it. When I picked up the dry cleaning, one of my blouses had a very large tear that was not there when I dropped it off. It was such a large tear that I would not have even worn the shirt no less have brought it in to be cleaned. I told the woman at the counter (who may be one of the owners) that the tear was not there when I dropped the blouse off. She did not offer to compensate me other than to refund the cleaning cost. I took back the clothes I was dropping off and told the woman I would not be returning. When you factor in the replacement cost of clothes they lose or destroy, Cleaner Marts is more expensive than other cleaners. Save your clothes and your money!
