I agree service can be slow, but no slower than the local UPS shop. Plus they are more organized here when holding packages than the UPS shop tends to be. He said he'd give me a call to let me know if the driver couldn't take the package with the label I provided. Jud at the Elegant Envelope gave us a great solution! Sometimes called "digital calligraphy" they use inkjet printers to produce a high quality print of the address. (Don't think home inkjet printer, this looks much better than what I could do on my budget HP.) They can use any true type fonts but have a bunch to get you started. We used "embassy" and the envelopes exceeded my expectations. The cost ended up being about $1 a piece and they turned it around in about a day. Pricing may be better for larger orders. All in all, it was a quick and easy process. They walked me through each step and took good care of the invites. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

They also offer many services, they are NOT the post office. Similar to being in line at a bank, customers usually need guidance and instructions to get what they want. And the staff can't rush customers. But they do deal with many rude customers. I go there not expecting a "fast food" experience.
