I didn't realize this wasn't an option, so now I am posting this "update" to review Speech Therapy Services separately. :) We currently see Miss Laura for speech therapy weekly and she has been wonderful. One of my children is very moody and has some behavior concerns - especially when working with new people. Laura has always been so patient, understanding, firm and predictable, but also fun and appreciative of the comedy that happens when working with children! My child was reluctant at first to transition to her as a new provider, but now he looks forward to his sessions - even stating in the car "No - wrong way!" when we pass by to get to other destinations when it isn't our therapy day. That is a good sign. My child began speech therapy in another state at a young age, so Laura is our 4th or 5th SLP now. Even with an early diagnosis, Laura is the one who had the insight and the drive to put in the work and get approval for him to have a speech device provided and paid for through his insurance and it has been life-changing for him, and for those who work with him and take the time to learn to use the device. This has made a huge difference in his ability to access the community, interact with family, and sharpen his social skills at school and with peers. We are very grateful. We were one of the first clients for Desert Peak, and things run so smoothly at this clinic, we had no idea that they were brand new as a business at the time. With multiple children who have multiple therapies, scheduling can be a nightmare, but at Desert Peak, we have been very blessed to be accommodated. Our family highly recommends Desert Peak Therapies for Speech services - especially as their practice grows. Last July 2025 I fell down my stairs and broke my left hip, I had to go to the emergency room and a doctor over at Swift Institute was on the Emergency side of it, and replaced my hip with a few screws. Well, the screws were coming out as I walked, so I saw Dr. Winkle back at great basin, and he said you're gonna have to have your hip totally replaced, as the screws are poking out.! I ended up in the hospital a few days after surgery with a stomach problem, and he actually came by to see me, and it had nothing to do with my hip, he just wanted to make sure I was OK! Absolutely incredible Dr, I highly recommend him and any doctor at Great Basin Orthopedics! The best! I needed a nausea medicine, and unbeknownst to Dr. Winkle the medicine he gave me for nausea also helped the stomach problem I was having so I could eat again, no other doctor has ever prescribed that medicine for me and I get these stomach issues a lot, we were really impressed! Upon arrival, I was being transferred using a hoir lift and when I left, I only needed one person to assist in transfers. Together with therapy, nursing and on-site doctor, we figured out the correct dosages of medications for me. When night shift needed guidance, Laura, an occupational therapist, came in to teach them. Lori, Administrator, also stepped in whenever needed. I was also transported to any outside doctor's appointments in their van. My family and I are very happy with the care I received. The staff took the time to get to know their patients and individualized the care and therapy based on the person's needs. I only gave 4 stars because of the food and my picky taste. But I have learned since I left, they have added another chef! i Highly recommend this rehab facility!

Elaine Bryan's my husband's case manager or social worker whatever she is is by far ridiculous.less than a month after my husband was placed in there care from a TBI she said my husband was his own guardian and can make his own decisions and that he gave her permission to handle everything on him and that she can't give me no information on my husband period on how he is doing how doctor appointments are going nothing.when I asked how he could be his own guardian with having a TBI being in his right mind one day and not the next she said well he can and he is and hung up on me .I called the group home and spoke with my husband and he said he never gave her permission to handle anything on him at all that he told her he had no problem me his wife handling things on him and them tell me info on him .so I called her back telling her what my husband said to her telling me I'll call you tomorrow on speaker phone and you me and your husband will all three discuss this she never called so all 3 of us could discuss this so I left a voicemail message and the next day she called being really cocky with me telling me she can't tell me nothing because my husband sings paper work giving he permission to handle everything on him.so I said you never said anything to me yesterday about him singing anything and never bothered to call me and have it on speaker phone so we 3 could discuss this now there is singd paper work.so I called my husband and asked him again if he signed paperwork and he said to not to my acknowledgment I did not I said is it possible when you weren't in your right mind and couldn't remember she got you to sing something he said it's possible so 4 days later when my husband was in his right mind he called me and said the he remembers Elaine Bryan's getting him so sing something that she claimed was to give the care giver permission to take him out on outings he said I no now that's not what I signed I no it was now giving her permission to handle everything on me because she didn't start telling me she can't tell you nothing untill after I sing supposedly giving them permission to allow taking me out on outings that when he realized she lied to him and got him to sing paperwork giving her permission to handle everything on him without his acknowledgment beware of this place.the care givers are now yelling at my husband he told me every time he eats something now and that they are rude and mean .and that he keeps catching them talking shit about him there is so much more just beware of this place

My issues…read more#1 We waited 20 min after our appointment time before being called back to the room #2 When we got back to the room there was still people in the room, the guy told them oh your good to go and put us right in that room with out cleaning it changing the paper etc. #3 The doctor was very rushed not very personable especially with a young child bedside manner is huge. #4 They gave a new brace that is still a little too big and was told if that doesnt work some back and we can make a custom one, again felt it was more important to get us out quickly than to make sure it was done properly and insure we were good to go. #5 I had to wait an additional 6 min after check out for a doctor's note for my child.
