Second trip to the Sierra Meadows Cabins, and we love this place. Great jumping off point to Yosemite, and the town nearby is so cute! The cabin is really a tiny home with one big bed and a small room with a bunk bed, a kitchenette and a small full bath all nestled into nature and at a good price. Super cute and functional, we'll be back!

This was the note waiting for us. We did enjoy ourselves. Thanks Aleah

We stayed at Sierra Meadows cabin for 2 nights and 3 days. Everything was great. The cabin was clean and cozy. We cooked our breakfast and dinner. All you need is to buy your own food because everything else was there at the cabin to use. When we arrived there was even a note welcoming us which I attached here. That's so thoughtful and sweet. We had plans to go to Yosemite and of course it's always a picturesque place. We are definitely going back with our fur baby Coco. Thanks Sierra Meadows for a great time and to Aleah

    Bobcat at Sierra Meadows.

Wonderful place to stay. The cabins are clean and modern. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. They have a very nice pool. Fishing in the pond (great for kids, guaranteed to get a bite!) Borrow bikes, and games and sports equipment. They have hiking/biking trails. Lots of wildlife, quail, squirrels, bunnies, bobcats, lizards; we even heard coyotes one night. It's a beautiful quiet place to stay. Great for families. The only annoying thing is that the acorn woodpeckers will wake you up in the morning! We loved staying here and can't wait to go back in the fall.

If you're looking for a place to stay after a long day at Yosemite and still want to experience the wilderness, Sierra Meadows Cabins is the way to go. I stayed at this location for just one night and everything was just immaculate. It's about 1.5 hours away from Yosemite. Location and surroundings: There is a lot of restaurant and local grocery stores (about 11 minutes away) so you're not fully away from "civilization." The place is super quiet, and everyone seems very respective of each other's cabins. There is a campus store that sells a lot of convenience items like snacks, over-the-counter medicine, women toiletries, and more.. which is extremely helpful if you forget to pack something or are craving some munchies. We didn't try the bikes and pool, but it's awesome they offer that here! 6 people Cabin itself: Seriously blew me away. They really try to make you feel comfortable, and staying in a cabin not that scary. The cabin was super clean and well stocked (tons of towels, shampoo, soap, conditioner, and kitchen pantry items). Even though the cabin is less than 400 sqft, it feels pretty spacious. Each room has its own heat and cooling system which is extremely helpful for parties that have different preferences. There are a ton of outlets too! I love how thoughtful they are to have a Bluetooth speaker in the main area. Hospitality: Check in was super simple and easy. It's all done via email and from there, they email your cabin code the day of your stay. You can customize your cabin door code after the initial code if you're worried about people coming in. Also, they text you to prep you for your stay which I thought was very thoughtful. We briefly interacted with the campus store cashier, and she was very kind! In addition, as you drive to the cabins, they put out signs to point you to the right direction. Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this location and I would DEFINITELY advocate to my friends and the Yelp community to stay here!

I came across this gem while searching online for "nearby Yosemite cabins". I am SO happy I found this place. We stayed in the 2 person micro cabin and we enjoyed every moment. The check in/ check out process is SO easy. 10/10 for staff! They are quick to respond, very helpful and friendly. Sierra Meadows is the perfect location just about 40 minutes from Yosemite National Park. Another plus is that they are pet friendly! We loved it so much we booked our next stay before leaving the property. We can't wait to be back!

Just stayed here last weekend and we had a really comfortable stay. Staff are very friendly and responsive. The family cabin was really clean, beds are comfy, and the kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans, utensils and plates. AC and wifi worked well. Very peaceful place even though the cabins are pretty close to each other. Free bikes to use around the property. We didn't get to use the pool but it looked really nice. There's a basketball court too and EV charging station. Will definitely stay here again.

Super clean, fully stocked kitchenette with everything you might need, including coffee, tea, creamer. Bikes available to borrow, along with games and sports equipment. Peaceful environment, friendly staff. Very relaxing! Can I just move in?

I hurriedly secured a weekend at this B&B through Expedia based on amenities and proximity to the park entrances (30 min. to either the south or the west entrance through El Portal). As a big yelper I was surprised I didn't check/read here first and booked trusting Expedia's reviews. I was so delighted to find out it had 5 solid stars! This inn is tucked off a small highway in Ahwahnee and has 6 very different units, each with little extras. I loved our Half Dome room - we had our own private entrance, parking spot, and a jetted bathtub. There were stairs which I knew would be a struggle after some hiking, but it was so worth it. Also had a small deck. First amazing surprise was a greeting by the very sweet Inn cat Buster. The breakfast deserves its own paragraph. Very beautifully presented, delicious, an ample amount and you get two time options which made planning our park visits easier. Speaking of which, I love that if you're planning to do an early hike you can ask for your breakfast to be packed in advance. We got a lunch bag where our host drew Half Dome with a John Muir quote (so cute! I kept it :)) filled with fruits and granola. We also got different chocolates after housekeeping tended our room each afternoon. Our final morning we got a puffy pancake with fruit, yogurt, and bacon. Sherilee was so kind and offered us extra bacon. After our meal, the other friendly cat Hank came and sat on my lap for a while. It was great! There is a real family / warm / cozy vibe here. The grounds are awesome. Quiet, natural landscape. A really nice pagoda where a party of 6 could come chill and has an overhead fan, lights, and outlets. Pool and jacuzzi with lights and AMAZING jets (best I've been in?) open until 10pm. Beside the lodge is a beautiful outdoor fireplace next to a grill. The lodge itself is free to use anytime and they have a ton of movies and games, large table, really comfortable couches and always the perfect room temperature. They also have deet, sunscreen, cookies, and a basket with some poles you can borrow. Overall we felt so welcomed and very well cared for. Got more than expected and was nice to come back to this place after hiking in the park. Will definitely be recommending this place and hope to return.

Where to begin? I have been enjoying the restaurant associated with this hotel for many years now…read moreon my visits to the area which is a treasure near Yosemite. The town of Oakhurst is my favorite as it offers great amenities that are the closest to the best entrance to Yosemite in my opinion. Lets start with the food. This is one of the best culinary experiences I have had and it is consistently good. The three course or five course dining service is stellar. These chefs are some of the best in the world and Ive been all over the world. The leadership of Erica is not to be surpassed. She has an incredible calm spirit with a smiling happy crew that provides top notch service with warmth and class. The bartender Jordan is a delight with his great smile and kind eyes. The food experience made me feel like I was being nourished from the inside out not just with nutrition but with love and flavor that was new and revitalizing. This was my first stay at the Chateau Sureau. Oh my heart. I feel that I was healed and restored from a level of stress I dont think I realized I was carrying from our busy crazy noisy world at home. The property is exquisite with old world charm and the perfect patina of age that makes you feel you are in the old country of Paris or Austria or England. The landscape is stunning and it was raining so the fireplaces were roaring and the pines were glistening with silver drops backlit by an incredible sunset. The breakfast service is top notch and the staff is incredibly attentive. You know its good when you know each others names. Thanks to Lorenzo, Sienna, Logan, Jissel and Lori for incredible Chalet guest service. Then, there is the spa. I just had to go since I was feeling like my life was coming back to my ownership again. The Spa is gorgeous. The spa. director Way has been on this property for 20 years. I had the best facial and conversation with her. What a treasure she is. Kim was my massage therapist and she is one of the best I have ever had and my son at home is a therapist as well so I feel qualified to say so. I got to spend my time in the couples massage room which has stunning views, a balcony that looks out from the hot bubbling soaking tub that you get to use after your massage. I had a choice of oils to add and we went with elderberry which is incredible for soft skin. Its absolutely wonderful. The small scale in size lent itself to making connections with other guests that were fantastic and I made friends here while staying that will last! I will be back everytime I am in town. I was here on a rainy weeks end and it added to the magic. I can imagine what it is like in spring when the gorgeous grounds are covered in flowers blooming. I cant wait to see it again then or even next month for the holidays! Some may say there is some aging to the rooms but I say its perfect and if you have traveled to the Old Country in Europe this is part of the actual beauty and experience. Relish it!!

First timer and will be a life-long visitor from now on!…read more SERVICE: Amazing! Super welcoming staff and accommodating. We ended up extending our stay and took care of it right away. I was about to cancel our reservation due to the recent snow/winter storm and even with chains we were worried about becoming stranded but they were kind enough to offer a reschedule due to the promo being non cancellable. Glad we stuck through the new reservation! Communication was very easy; either through messages or phone call and our needs were met quickly. Being a first timer in the resort and the area, they were very helpful with answering our questions about things to do or where to go. I can't say enough good things about their staff. Check in was a breeze with online and at registration, so was check out. AMENITIES: Granted we went during winter months and right after a snowstorm so we really weren't able to use the amenities such as the pool or hot tub but we were able to walk around and it was open. The Pines market is very convenient with all our needs as well as the other shops and stores for snacks or different foods. Parking was easy at the registration although they might need to repaint some of the numbers or lines in front of the chalets but other than that, no issues with parking at all. ROOM/ACCOMMODATION: We reserved a 2 queens chalet with lakeside view. Unfortunately, our view was blocked by the electric pole/trees towards the lake but can still see some of the lake. It was still a beautiful view and the location of our chalet was close to the amenities. The chalet was clean and had no harsh cleaning solution smells. I loved that it came with a kitchenette and the balcony to do some outdoor grilling. The place was comfortable and homey. I wish there was just another toilet upstairs lol because there was 4 of us and we somehow managed to want to use the restroom at the same time multiple times LOL. But otherwise, everything was in working condition. As a suggestion, if they can change the bedroom tv to a smart tv because the cable channels kept glitching and channel options were slim also if possible just have it on the wall, creates more walking space because it was pretty tight walking to the beds lol. There's this little cubby space on the other side of the bathroom wall where a dresser (a tall one) could be put instead. Otherwise, I still very much loved our stay. We absolutely did not want to leave. I cannot wait to book this resort again. Highly recommend! Wonderful staff, amenities and accommodation! Close to yosemite and oakhurst. Very convenient.

I loved the Worldmark Bass Lake as each unit was a 2 story townhouse.  There was nobody above us and I rarely heard the people next to us.  At other Worldmarks I was often woken up by people walking on the floor above us.  I'm not a good sleeper away from home but I got some good sleep here. There is the nearby town of Oakhurst about 15 minutes away which had a good amount of restaurants.  I was impressed there was a street vendor selling half flats of strawberries for $20.  I bought one and was eating strawberries everyday.  Strawberries needed another day or 2 before they were fully ripe.  After I let them sit in the kitchen they were sweet and juicy with lots of strawberry flavor.  Better than supermarket strawberries but not quite as good as my favorite farmers market strawberries. Staff was friendly and helpful.  Lots to do and see nearby.  I loved staying at Bass Lake Worldmark Spring 2024 road trip to Yosemite + King's Canyon National Parks: Golden Dragon was our 1st stop for food. https://www.hungryones.com/2024/05/golden-dragon-2/ We stayed at Worldmark Bass Lake. https://www.hungryones.com/2024/05/worldmark-bass-lake/

Worldmark units have their own pool, etc, and the RCI units share a pool, parking lot, trash bins with some actual homeowners who live in that same area. They are not very friendly (who can blame them, while we were there a guest drove his truck through someone's backyard.) Forgive the length, but good info here: The unit: We stayed in unit A35, in building 3, closest to the lake but with no lake view. Perfect unit if you want a quiet place to relax and an opportunity to see wildlife. It faces the boat parking lot. Upstairs in the master is a window facing the road. Anyone on the road can see into the window so we just left the blinds closed. No road noise to speak of. There is only 1 shower/tub and it's upstairs, so not technically a 2 bath as stated. With 4 people,  it's a bit inconvenient. Photos show all the room appointments, it was perfect for us. Both bedrooms were upstairs with the full bath.  The lake: Very short 5 min walk to the lake. We easily rolled our kayaks over every morning.  Lake gets very busy, but the water is incredibly clear. We spent hours exploring the shoreline and wetlands. Angel Falls trailhead is also in walking distance from the resort, although there are a few places along the road where there is no shoulder, so its not for the faint of heart. Yosemite Access: Wawona entrance is only 30 min from the lake but it's another hour to get to the main attractions in the park (bridal veil falls etc.) We were here during the Wahburn and Oak fires so we had to use the entrance gate waaaay over on the other side of Mariposa. After 1.5 hours of driving, we then had a 2 hour wait to get in the park. I don't recommend it. I cannot recommend this place enough. Staff was friendly and helpful. From the pool to the lake, there are tons of things to do and explore,  enough to keep all ages busy.
