"NEXT.. next! next!" Most photographers in the san diego area that we came across were mediocre at best... most were 'meh' Then, e came across Blue Wesley's Portfolio... And my immediate reaction was 'WOW!' This guy was a breath of fresh air! His photography was the cat's pajama!. All of his work was jaw dropping and had such life, love, and soul in it. The guy is a freaking legend! So of course, after seeing his work, we immediately contacted him... And he got back to us VERY quickly. We needed a photographer and we needed one bad.. And worse, we were running very low on time.. Time was of the essence! (we wanted to do maternity pictures and my wife was due in a week and a half lol) so as you can imagine, we had a very small window to operate in, and we gave Michael short notice.. But, the dude pulled it off! He was extremely courteous and friendly over the phone.. He returned all of my calls very quickly. We scheduled a photo shoot out on the beach that week... and the wifey and I were as giddy and excited as a 12 year old girl at a one direction concert.. we couldn't wait! So, the big day arrives! The weather was PERFECT.. not a cloud in the sky. We get dressed and ready to go.. and 30 minutes before the scheduled shoot starts.. What do you know? Some rogue fog rolls in (straight from the pit of hell, I'm sure) and wrecks our day! Seriously, this fog was so thick you couldn't see 2 feet in front of you. "what the heck?!! Have the gods smited us?" you can't take pictures in this weather!! The wifey and I were of course bummed.. BUT.. Michael came to the rescue, was super cool about it and helped us both relax. He comforted us and said we can just try again the next day.. (which shows how flexible he is and how easy he is to work with) And so round 2.. we returned to the beach shortly after.. and no fog from hell! rejoice!! The weather was perfect! We meet Michael.. and seriously, he was SO much fun to work with! Instantly you feel like you've been best friends with him forever. No matter who you are.. getting pictures taken can be nerve-racking.. But he makes it a breeze! he make it so easy for you to be comfortable, have fun, and relax! When you work with him there's no stress, no pressure, and no rush. Even if you're camera shy or nervous.. He'll help you be natural and keep it fun. Trust me, you are going to love it! So as soon as we got out there on the beach.. he went to work with his camera and did his magic.. he got the wifey and I doing tons of different poses. He had LOTS of great ideas for us! And look, we were absolutely clueless about poses, props, and set up... I got 1 move. that's it. I now how to stand and say cheese. that's it. But he came up with a ton of exciting and fun poses for us to do.. and showed us exactly how to do it. So needless to say, the wifey and I had a blast!
