Their website has no shop, they go through Shopify, has no order history and no tracking number. The email sent at purchase does not contain a tracking number. So I called and they said they would ship it today as they do their shipping in the morning. That's fine, but then do not charge me for next day delivery. I have a ride the next day so the clutch cover won't be delivered in time. I will risk my ride with a JB Weld repair. The search function on their website suxxx. While traveling with my best friend Cris on a motorcycle trek from Prescott, Arizona, up to Mendocino and across the state to Dayton, Nevada, where my brother lives, I had been tracking a wearing front tire. Sure enough, my front Michelin was torched. We called Sierra BMW Motorcycles in Sparks, and even though they were completely booked, they kindly moved their schedule around to accommodate me -- way beyond the call of duty. They absolutely didn't have to do that, but they did. When I arrived, I was met by a young Marine -- I wish I remembered his name -- who was incredibly accommodating, efficient, and just a class act all the way around. While they replaced my front tire, I mentioned that my cruise control had been intermittently cutting out, and they took the time to fix that too. They also noticed that my front brakes were badly worn -- something I hadn't picked up on yet -- and they replaced them as well. At the last minute, I also noticed that my Clearwater lights had fallen out of programming. Without hesitation, they jumped on it with a great attitude, got them working perfectly again -- and didn't even charge me for it. On my way back, I hit some unexpected weather -- light snow dusting the road -- and it felt incredibly reassuring to have solid brakes, good rubber underneath me, and a functioning cruise control. Sierra BMW made sure my bike was not only rideable but safe, and I couldn't be more grateful. Sierra BMW Motorcycles showed a rare and genuine spirit of service, hospitality, and professionalism. I was disappointed that they sold me an item that was on backorder without notifying me that it was backordered from the maker. I didn't learn that there was a backorder until I called after a week. These five star reviews have to be a joke because anybody who's dealt with these people can see that their communication skills are awful, their website is inaccurate and they advertise products that they do not have. Seems incredible to me that Specialized bicycles and BMW Motorrad allow this dealership to represent them. Purchased 2 specialized ebikes they showed in stock for $11k and not a word from them telling me they actually didn't have these in stock, I had to find out on my own a week later but they sure were quick to collect the $11k on the credit card. I had to call credit card company to stop the transaction as Sierra would not reply. Anyway, I would recommend staying away. read more

I purchased an E-bike from this store about 2 months ago and Lane was so helpful. He helped me pick the right size bike for me. I love this bike it is so comfortable for me and it fits perfectly. When I wanted to change the peddles I took them down to their store and the were more than willing to do that and put a mirror on my bike. About a month later I wanted to put a lower hitch on my car and I wasn't able to get the last piece in. I took it to their shop to see if they could help me and they were more than accommodating to help me with this. All the staff in the store are super nice and very helpful. If you are looking to buy any kind of bike this is the BEST place to buy one. In another month I will be going back to buy new bike rack. read more

Sierra BMW does not keep their web shop inventory up to date. Both of the two things I have tried to purchase were shown as in stock, but were not actually available. When I ordered they charged me immediately but didn't ship anything, and didn't communicate in any way. When I emailed them to request status, they didn't respond. When I emailed a second time stating I would dispute the charge with my credit card company they responded immediately, saying it was the "first inquiry they'd seen" and refunded my payment, but only after I'd waited a week and a half and wasted a bunch of time. To the folks at Sierra BMW: I highly recommend using a web shop that allows you to show your actual inventory on hand and using that feature. To others: Call before you buy something here, to make sure it's actually in stock. Personally, I will shop elsewhere. read more

DO NOT USE THEM FOR MAIL ORDER PARTS. This review is for their "sister" website, "Sierra Motorcycle Supply" at the same physical address in Sparks Nevada. That site sells Beta motorcycle parts and accessories. Basically these guys have some items in stock, and the rest of the inventory listed on their website is all drop ship, some with HUGE delays. BE FOREWARNED. This practice is usual for the industry, but Sierra Motorcycle Supply has horrible inventory control and customer service. I ordered three items for my BETA motorcycle on July 27. One item came within a week, the remaining two (a fender and brake clevis) took 42 days to arrive. There was no communication from Sierra, no reply to my customer service email sent on September 25. BETA parts used to be hard to source, but not so anymore. I have no reason to shop here anymore and will rely on more reliable and established online businesses such as RMATV. I'm sorry I had to write this, but Sierra Motorcycle Supply needs a wake up call. read more

**BEWARE** I wish I read these reviews before I dealt business with them but I experienced the exact same things as everyone else on here. Same situation I saw the bike I wanted online. I called over there and confirmed with Tim that the bike I wanted was in stock and available and to go ahead and purchase online. I told them that I lived out of state and I needed to make arrangements to get out that way and they said no problem as long as I paid for it in full and sent a note that my bike would be held until I picked it up. I get a call a little over a week later from Tom telling me that my bike was sold to somebody else and they did not have anymore in stock but they were trying to locate one for me. They gave me weak excuses as to what happened and could not really provide me a solid answer as to how this happened. As a matter fact the best response I got from Tom was "Well this is America and this stuff happens". Are you fucking kidding me?? Of course I called back and asked to talk to Tim who originally told me my bike was in stock and he denied remembering our conversation even though I wrote it in my email when I purchased the bike. I requested to speak to the owner of the company, Lane Swall who had a much different attitude which I did appreciate in the beginning. He told me all the things I wanted to hear but I think that's all it was. Broken promises and a way to hold onto my money and keep me hanging on in hopes that they would get a bike which they never did. Eventually the communication became very little. The updates became very minimal and then no response at all. I did eventually get my money back but I made sure to notify Specialized that they need to follow up on this company and who they have representing them. Happy ending to this story I found a better bike at Huntington Beach Honda and not only were they wonderful to deal with but I got a fat discount on top of it. read more

I bought a new BMW GS. At 480 miles it started knocking like An old diesel truck. Among other problems, the motorcycle, on occasion would smell like burning oil. At approximately 840 miles the service Rider at this dealership and one of the mechanics smelled the strong burning oil smell. The last time I spoke with the service writer, he told me that the dealership and BMW Motorcycle USA had determined that the burning smell was not oil but that the "Muffler" was not broken in. It was in the shop for around 90 days. On the 4th and last visit the service writer would not give me any paper work showing the bike had been returned. The owner was condescending and did a lot of yelling. read more

I have no idea how S-BMW-M gets even a star. Are all these reviews legit? I ordered some boots, paid via PayPal and two weeks later crickets. I called their store and only got answering machines. Left messages with zero (0) replies. Sent emails - zero (0) reply. It is a nice electronic front, but has no bricks and mortar from my experience. This cost me time and money to chase all this down and than have PayPal cancel the order. Five Stars for PayPal. Just a word of caution to Anyone who may wants to do business with Sierra BMW. I purchased a part for my K1600 from Sierra BMW. They shipped the wrong part. I called them and they promptly offered to rectify the problem by ordering the correct part from the manufacturer ( because they sold something they didn't even have in stock) and upon arrival they would ship the correct part OVERNIGHT. Three weeks after I received the wrong part and a week after they shipped what I can only hope is the right part, the part is still in transit. I was very understanding when asked them to correct their mistake, but I have no respect for people who can't even keep their word when they tell a customer they will fix their own mistake. read more

BMW's financial website is very easy to use, and payments are easy to set up. Travis did a great job explaining the benefits of the bike I was purchasing, and made me feel very confident in my choice of motorcycle. He's also been great at helping me find accessories to help the bike perfectly fit my needs. Scott and his team in the service department has been great in helping me get through my first service and getting accessories installed. I purchased a pair of gloves from Sierra BMW's online shopping page. I did it to save a few bucks. That was a mistake I'll never make again. I opted for their free shipping option since I wasn't in a huge hurry to receive the gloves. A day or so later, I received email and text notifications that my order had been processed and my shipment was on it's way to me. So far so good.. A couple days after that, I received a call from a gentleman in northern California (I live in southern California). It turns out that he received my gloves, and used the phone number on the shipping label to call me. The windshield that he had ordered must be what was in the package still on it's way to me. If this were the only problem, I wouldn't be giving the shop a 1-star review. Accidents happen. But somehow, this got worse. Both myself and the other customer called Sierra to notify them of this mix-up in the shipping addresses. My first experience over the phone with the shop was the representative from Sierra BMW telling me that I must be mistaken because he keyed the address in correctly. Somehow, I am wrong about my own address because he doesn't make mistakes. Great start to resolving this, right? Next, I am told that a shipping label will be sent to me with the other customer's home address on it, and that other customer will be sent a shipping label with my home address. The goal here was obviously so that we could ship the packages to each other. I'll admit that if this went correctly, the issue would be resolved. What it fails to take into account is that maybe I didn't want my home address to be sent to a complete stranger. What the shop could have done was send us each labels to send the merchandise back to the shop, and at the same time, send us out the items we had ordered to the correct addresses. That would have resolved the problem without releasing information to a complete stranger. Side Note: I never wanted my order to be sent to my home anyway. Originally, my order was to be delivered to my work address, which is where I receive packages. On the Sierra BMW shopping page, there are two places for addresses: Mailing Address and Billing Address. Most merchants are able to keep these separate, but Sierra BMW has a problem understanding this concept. So here we are, waiting for these new shipping labels to be sent to us (myself and the other customer). We waited and waited, and the shipping labels were never emailed to us. Finally, a day and a half later, the other customer received a shipping label to send my gloves to me. He wrapped them up, applied the label, and sent them on their way. He was kind enough to send me a text when it was sent - only then did I realize that Sierra BMW had ONCE AGAIN keyed in my address incorrectly!! On the "corrected" label, which I had waited over a day for, my address was still incorrect. I had to call the shop, and once again, explain to them that they had made a mistake. Once again, they were incredulous and - let's be blunt - a giant pain-in-the-ass. Don't let me forget, by this point, I had still not received the label that I needed to send the other customer his windshield. Naturally as anyone would, I felt bad for the other guy. Like me, his only mistake was purchasing from Sierra BMW to begin with. Out of my own pocket, I shipped him his windshield. Yep, I paid $32.23 to ship him the windshield he bought from Sierra BMW. They never reimbursed me, oh, and the shipping label they claim to have sent me never arrived. Tl;dr? I paid $99 for a pair of motorcycle gloves from Sierra BMW. They were sent to another customer, who then sent them to me. The other customer's item was sent to me, and instead of Sierra BMW fixing their mistake, I paid $32.23 to fix it for them. The best part: on the website for Sierra BMW, it says: "We specialize in CUSTOMER SERVICE" (no emphasis added). I guess not. UPDATE: After writing this review and another on their Facebook page, I received an email from their Parts Manager. When asked for how they could reverse my discontent, I suggested a refund of the $32 I spent in shipping fees. Instead, they refunded my entire purchase. I appreciate this, and now have more faith in the truth of their slogan. Would I shop here again? Probably not. But still, they have earned a higher rating than my original 1-star review. I get that mistakes happen. They finally fixed their mistake, and that I genuinely appreciate. They do have a great selection of motorcycle gear and they have great prices. That might be enough for me to recommend my friends give them a shot. read more

If something looks off about this place when you drive up and go inside, you are probably right. Poor representatives of BMW Motorcycles and Specialized Bikes. This business is an embarrassment to the brands!! After calling to confirm a bike advertised online was in stock, I placed the order online to reserve the bike and my wife and I drove over 200 miles to pick it up. Upon arrival we were told the bike was not in stock. The parts manager who denied confirming the order over the phone even went so far as to say he didn't remember the phone call and didn't know who took the call. I had to demand that they cancel the order before I left and confirm the transaction with my Bank. After reversing the order he hid somewhere in the building taking zero accountability for the mistake. 10 minutes later the Assist Manager "so he says"came out and confirmed the part number for the bike we ordered was not the same part number for the bike reserved. And finally apologized for the mistake Hysterically the bike is still showing In Stock online. I normally only give positive reviews, but the gentleman that helped us refused own the mistake and offered zero apologies. He even refused to disclose his name other than the parts manager. read more
