While on our way back from San Diego on an RV trip, my wife and I stopped at the Queshon Casino to stay for the night in their RV dirt lot. This is a great stop because this bar and grill are inside the casino and they constantly have great food and drinks. We stopped on a Sunday while an NFL football game was on and it was pretty busy. We were greeted by the hostess and sat down in a booth with a full view of the many screens! My wife and I decided to share the Italian Grinder, and we are glad we did. The sandwich arrived and it was two full sandwiches with fries. Each sandwich was about nine inches long and loaded with meat and the fixings. It tasted amazing. A bit messy, but it tasted really good. The sandwich is toasted the cold cuts were warm. The bar has a great selection of draft beer and spirits. There are domestic and fancy beers on tap and a few in the bottle. You'll definitely find what you are looking for. This restaurant reminded me of how casino sports bars used to be. Great food at a good price and enough to fill your appetite. The drinks are reasonably priced and the service is excellent. If you are in Yuma, going through Yuma, or somewhere near Yuma, this is a great place to stop and eat or have a few drinks. This place is definitely a stop whenever we are near. read more

We ate here twice this weekend! Both times INCREDIBLE food! The first night our waitress was nice, the food was so delicious! So we came back again the next day, omg Lorena was AMAZING!!! Had a wonderful time at Quechan Casino and I got hunger. My wife and I ordered the fish and chips and it was amazing. It came out hot right out of the fryer. I like malt vinegar on my fish and chips and they had a few packets of it for us. I enjoyed every bite. The service was great and the drinks kept coming. The waitress was very nice and check on us regularly. It is kinda dim in there but very relaxing away from all the slot machines. This Casino is right off the interstate and easy access. Went there today. It's inside the Q casino. Waitress was great. Big screens for sports. I had a Reuben sandwich and wife had a spicy cheeseburger. The meat on my Reuben was tough. But otherwise it tasted great. My wife's cheeseburger was pretty spicy it had jalapeños. Only order it if you love very hot food. We had fries and they were great. I had a big cold XX beer. Bill was $40 which was decent. I would have rated this place 5 stars if my meat on my Reuben wasn't tough. It was still good though. And yes I will certainly return in the future. read more

Waitress was very nice, took our order promptly, food came out fairly quickly. Nice large fresh portions. We had an appetizer Street Corn Bites, super yummy had to bring home left overs! Salad super fresh crunchy lettuce, it was large enough to be a full meal on its own. You could tell it was prepared for you and NOT just pulled out of fridge made several days before! FISH and fries were great! I had mine with sweet potato fries, they were switched without a hassle of asking the chef or supervisor. Grilled chicken was delicious! Our family took my mom to dinner here yesterday. We all sat and listened to her and my dad order. When their meals came it was not what they ordered. They were prepared to go ahead and just eat the meal instead of what was ordered. However, when a member of our party mentioned to the waiter that it was not what they ordered and my parents confirmed, the waiter sat and argued that our entire table was wrong and they did order what they were served. We wanted to stop for a late breakfast/early lunch before we drove home from Arizona and we go by the Quechuan Casino so decided to stop there. The first restaurant/buffet wasn't open so we went to the next place-the Sidewinder Cafe. Breakfast was almost over and lunch was ready to start in 6 minutes so we got both breakfast and lunch menu to see what we wanted. The menus were not very large but had a good selection of choices. We decided on Sidewinder Chicken and waffles and a Sidewinder's Smashburger with fries. Service was good-water was filled often but it took almost 20 minutes to get the food after ordering. The chicken & waffles was not what I was expecting but chicken tender was tasty and waffle pretty good. But I wouldn't really order it again. The Smashburger was pretty good, too. The fries were unusual and weren't a favorite-though, maybe a personal preference. The restaurant is very large with tables and booths for seating. There is a large bar that runs the one side of the restaurant. There are lots of TVs above the bar and on the opposite wall of the restaurant playing different channels. There is a good sized stage with table and large speakers at the back of the restaurant. I'm not sure what they do there but it could hold a band or speakers. The bill for 2 lunches was $21. It was a good price for the lunch. The 20 minutes wait to get the food out was too slow. I would go back and try something else. read more

After our previous less than memorable experience at The Sidewinder the evenings before, II went back because there was a change of shift at my regular pub. Lina who was very nice was getting off and Mr. Personality was coming on. Anyway, I walk over to The Sidewinder to watch the my San Diego Padres (lose again!) and behind the bar was April, a an extremely nice and pleasant lady. She brought me my beer and I sat back to watch the game. Later on we ordered some onion rings and a grilled cheese sandwich. They were the best combo I have ever tasted, really tasty and perfect. So I guess casinos like life is like "a box of chocolates" you know the rest. We had breakfast at the Sidewinder. It was delicious and our waitress Silvia was super attentive with us. Never have I been told there aren't enough servers to seat me. Went into this hole on Saturday while gambling at the casino and stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes before a waitress said that the hostess would be with us in a minute. About 10 minutes later, another lady walked up and said "your welcome to sit at the bar but I don't know when we will have a chance to get to you." I said you've got to be kidding and pointed out that there were a good 20-25 open tables inside the restaurant. She explained that they had two servers working and we would have to stand there until at least 3 other guests left before we could be seated because they were short staff. I can honestly say that I've never seen such a piss poor operation. I've been to places where the food sucked and the service was crap but I can't ever recall failing to get to the seating portion of dining out. I have eaten at this particular restaurant in the past and the food was absolutely horrible and service crappy but I thought we'd give it another try and that perhaps they were having an off day. Let me say that the bartender was a nice guy and respectful. Yet the over all service from the kitchen to service was off yesterday. There was only 4 people in the bar and expected to get two basic burger and fries within 10 mins or so....it was over 30 minutes and we simply walked out. I did want to pay for for her ice teas but it was a comp. We had better luck 10 mins away at a McDonalds. We stopped in on our way back from a Mexican border town. I'm always surprised how businesses lose their identity. If you are a bar be a bar, if you add grille to the end, expect to give great service to those that are not looking to drink. read more

Unfortunately so many places still do not give an decent option for us but I wanted to note especially at Sidewinders the huge Sidewinder House Salad. This salad is plenty for a full meal, it is beautifully presented with many types of greens and veggies, and comes with an thicker avocado dressing (sometimes they give you two little serving cups of it to dress yourself sometimes just one. I would definitely ask for two because it is a big salad!) You can also get another dressing if you prefer. I love the olive addition and when I have ordered it they had long thin slices of cucumbers rolled and placed on the dish. Highly recommend. You can feel good about eating healthy.
