I don't know if this is a nightclub pretending to be a restaurant, or a restaurant pretending to be a nightclub, but when there is security at the door wanding everyone and checking bags, it's a bit unsettling. Had I not been with a small group of people, I would have left before being seated. The music is uncomfortably loud for such a small place and the flashing neon lights a bit too much. It's probably a great place for the locals to hang out on a weekend, but not a place I would recommend when you are just trying to enjoy a meal. Once the band took the stage and started playing, I left immediately. Their music was more than twice as loud as the house music. The food I had was pretty good, but the ambience not so much. Waited an hour for 5 tacos, ended up getting them to go because my family was over it. No refills on my children's drinks, no water offered. Couldn't even get the waitress attention until I asked for the bill. I'm sure it's great if you're just drinking, which I couldn't even ask for a second because no one was around to check on our table. Came on a Saturday around 6pm. I worked in service industry for 20 years. The only place I have never left a tip at especially of a bill of $100. Would rate 0 stars if I could mediocre food and poor service. read more

Decided to give this spot a try while visiting Yuma. Needless to say they did not disappoint. We started with nachos as an appetizer. It was loaded with cheese, sour cream, jalapenos, asada, avocado, and tomatoes. The portion is on the larger side and loaded with toppings so just be weary if you have a smaller party. For the main dishes, we had the surf and turf taco, asada tacos, and fish taco. The surf and turf taco was well balanced. The flavor and char was incredible. Asada tacos were nice and juicy. The fish taco was refreshing and well balanced. Indoors was very spacious with lots of seating. There were TV's all around showing sports which makes a super fun place to hang out, drink, and eat. read more

You want action? This is it! Very lively and tv monitors everywhere! We ended up in the vip room due to the size of our party and needing a table vs a booth. We had to use free valet parking as the parking was full. We will tip our valet of course! We started with some beers and michelada and margaritas...the complimentary chips and salsa were ok. First time we have ordered rib eye steak in a Mexican restaurant....we also ordered shrimp tacos , taco de governador, the shrimp tacos were delicious and fresh, so was the taco de governador. The service has been excellent. The shrimp cocktail had a lot of shrimp and very delicious. Chunky bowl was great with shrimp octopus and scallops! We also had a fish taco that was very tasty. So far all the food has been delicious and fresh. Probably shouldn't have ordered the rib eye steak...lol The rib eyes were delicious but not as thick as I have had in other restaurants. Top notch customer service from start to finish with very good food! Greeted at the door with menus in hand. The server immediately came to our table asking if we would like drinks. She was super friendly and gave lots of suggestions on food choices. We opted for the guacamole and chips to start with a Margarita and a Mojito. The drinks were beautifully presented(see pics). My first time here and it definitely won't be my last. This is a great Mexican sports bar and restaurant with a huge selection of food items. It was very busy as it was a holiday and the U.S. soccer team was playing on several of the TVs they had. Though they were busy our service was excellent. I ordered the mixed fajitas and my wife had a medium shrimp cocktail. The fajitas had shrimp, chicken and steak. The chicken and steak were cut the size of the shrimp. The mixture of cut onions, peppers and mushrooms was perfect it was served on an extremely hot skillet with sides of guacamole, sour cream, Pico de gio. It was the best fajitas I have ever had, and I've had many. My wife commented that her cocktail had the most shrimp in any one she has ever had. Conversations were a little tough because of the rowdy crowd. On certain nights they have a Madarachi band. read more

The absolute worst customer service here! Granted our reservation wasn't made but the hostess told us that if we waited long enough than our large party would be seated. We waited an hour and once we went to QUADRUPLE CHECK within that hour the finally told us that we couldn't be sat. Completely ridiculous. Tried this place for the first time after reading the reviews. I ordered the bacon burger, a fish taco, and the elote ribs, along with an ice-cold beer (which even had ice in it -- it was that cold!). The elote ribs were good and definitely the highlight of the meal. The fish taco didn't have much flavor, and while the burger was decent, it also seemed to lack seasoning. A few hours later, my stomach wasn't feeling great, which was disappointing. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was Bernardo. He was very energetic, checked on us often, and clearly made an effort to ensure we were happy. He's a great addition to the restaurant. I would consider coming back just because of his excellent service. read more

went to visit family in Yuma and this was a close by. i was shocked there weren't many reviews so decided why not give it a try and give some feedback. Immediately inviting upon arrival it was clean open concept and had good music (plus the dodger game was on as well). We ordered wings, tacos a kids meal and some shrimp cocktails. food was good and tasty, pricing was decent and our drinks stayed full. we were told live music was at 10 but we got there about 5 so didn't want to stay longer. I am a man of the people and did not let the chance of a free drink tempt me in to a fake review, like the other 1,500 people here. Truthfully one of the most unfortunate dining experiences we have ever had. Reviews were suspiciously high but alas we went anyways. Started with a $25 sampler platter. What came out looked like something from a cheap bowling alley that your parents forced you to eat as a kid. Even the sauces came out in cheap paper cups. Not one even mediocre option on the platter, weird vibe, 0/10. Next came the ribeye fettuccini Alfredo. Smart thinking to bring this in a bowl because what came out was more of a noodle, over cooked meat, and milk soup. No flavor to be had anywhere in this dish. No Parmesan cheese in the sauce and with how soupy it was we were convinced they just poured some whole milk in to the bowl and called it a day. 1 star for putting it in a bowl instead of a plate, otherwise no other stars: 1/10. To top it all off after our server dropped off the food she disappeared for 30 minutes and only came around because we asked another employee to grab our server so we could cash out. Then we were hit with the offer to spin their wheel for a 5 star review, LOL. We have worked in multiple restaurants and go out to eat all the time so we are usually very laid back however this abysmal experience yet great reviews left us feeling like we needed to post an honest experience so other families can make a better informed decision and find some place with edible food. read more

Our party of 4 was seated right away, ordered drinks (2 draft beers, 2 margaritas). It was at least 15 minutes if not longer for drinks to arrive. No chips or salsa was brought until we asked. Had to ask for utensils...3 forks were brought for 4 people. Our friends received their food. We told them to eat. They finished eating and we finally spoke to the manager about our food not arriving yet. We finally got our food (which was very good). Asked for a knife to cut whole chicken pieces (hubs and I shared mocajete bowl). One knife was brought. This restaurant needs to work on service and food timing. read more

We did-got served ICE cold beers and had plenty of time to view games and enjoy a really fun atmosphere. HUGE menu-with something for everyone. We all ordered off the Mexican menu. They purposely changed the TV Chanel during the USA national anthem during the U.S. World Cup game then immediately changed it back right when it was over. It was obvious what they did and who did it. Several customers expressed their frustration. Extreme disrespect. The food was average. Our waitress was very sweet and the drinks were good. Well...we went in with a very large group for lunch. What originally was going to be ten of us turned into twenty. They had one server handling our entire table. He was excellent. Everyone got their drinks and waters etc. I ordered one fish taco on a corn tortilla. Pizzas were brought out, soups were brought out, ceviche was brought out and I sat there and watched everyone eat and waited for my taco. And waited and waited. I got up and went to find the waiter to tell him never mind that I was just going to leave but he brought out the taco. I asked for a to go box. I brought it home and just threw it in the trash. I had lost my appetite. I only paid $10 for one taco and one sweet tea. I was just so disappointed that everyone was eating and I didn't have my taco even though I had the simplest order. It was disappointing. Maybe look out a little better for the little guy next time. Other than that everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and their meals. Just not me. read more

I love the food at La Bodega. So why a lower rating, I can not stand the loud music especially the BOOMING bass. My seat was actually vibrating the last time I was there. I kindly asked for it to be turned down and I actually think the music was less loud but the bass was still overwhelming. Anyone else experience this issue there? I'm going to have to find another good Mexican Seafood place to eat. Just not pleasant. read more

It could be a great experience about food and staff service but a long show with those "bengalas" ... it was horrible !!!! We hardly could breath , a lot of people was with signs of suffocating covering their face and coughing like me and my sisters . It is a shame !!!
