I booked this tour to have some fun on my girls trip with my sister. Our sidecar tour was absolutely fabulous. Jesse picked us up went above and beyond helping us with our bags. We drove through the country side and through a beautiful park. Then we toured the town of Sonoma. Next Jesse made us amazing reservations for our wine tasting. We had a gorgeous view and took our time tasting several wines. Finally we took a drive through the actual vineyards with some great photo ops. Jesse could not have been nicer or a better guide. I did a lot of things while in the bay area/wine country and I have to say this was by far my favorite. Five stars all the way!!! read more

My girlfriend and I had an absolute blast with our tour guide Kelly! He knew the history of every single place we stopped at, down to the year. He also took us to many amazing wineries with incredible views and photo opportunities. I recently completed my second tour with Sidecar Tours (Sonoma). My previous review can be found under the Napa tours (for some reason). For the second time, we had Mario as our main guide. We also had Ryan as our second driver. Our first tour we went with a group of friends. This time around, we took our two daughters along. Once again, we were playing tourist in our own backyard. We had such a fun time on our first trip, we wanted to do something special while our daughter was visiting from out of state. Before our journey started, we were able to chose our stops. We did this a few days before our trip, so reservations could be made. One thing different from our first tour, we were now responsible for our tasting fees. No problem. Mario and Ryan met us at, what would be our final stop, Robledo Winery. We went over the days events and were given some safety information. Tnwo people can fit comfortably inside the sidecars. It was a cool morning, we were also given blankets to help keep us warm. A nice gesture. During our trip, we made the two winery stops. Once we arrived at each winery, Mario met the staff and introduced us. In between winery stops, we took a scenic tour of the Sonoma area. We stopped at City Hall and a couple other spots to take "tourist" pics of us enjoying ourselves. Mario helped out by taking pictures (and a video) throughout. We received the photos and video link at the end of the day. Whether you're a local, looking for something new to do or someone visiting our beautiful part of the world...this is something you need to do. When can you say, you went wine tasting while on a sidecar tour? Being our second time doing this, we absolutely loved it. My daughters loved the experience. This place is 100% a scam. I made the unfortunate mistake of purchasing a side car tour through Groupon before seeing the Yelp reviews. After buying the Groupon I had repeated issues redeeming the voucher on their website. They do not respond to emails, their phone number is disconnected, and when I asked for Groupon Service's support, Groupon responded saying they were told multiple times that Sidecar Tours has been in contact with me, which is a lie. Groupon also does nothing to back fraudulent services. Don't make the same mistake! read more

Our driver Ron was great and highly recommend him. He drove us all around Sonoma- the hills, the Sonoma plaza and lastly, through the vineyards at Viansa winery. Seeing wine country through the eyes of a sidecar is entirely different than driving it as you notice so many more details and the wind through your hair. We had a great time on our Sonoma side car tour. Kelly was great and he took amazing pictures of us. He uses his camera but sends you all the pictures right after your adventure ends. He does a great job capturing the day. We got to see two wineries that are out of the way that we probably would not have stopped at otherwise...or even knew they existed. The Scenic Sonoma Sidecar Tour was SO FUN!!! My mom and I celebrate our birthdays together each year and this was our 2024 adventure. Booking was easy and straightforward, and our chauffeur Chris contacted me the day before to confirm all the details and provide helpful information regarding the weather, what to wear, parking, etc. Chris was ready and waiting when we got there and took us on the most fun, crazy, and informative tour! He was a safe and conscientious driver and made our trip even more interesting by sharing local history and landmarks. He even stopped by the cheese shop in the town square so I could pick up some cheese and chocolate! He listened to our preferences and took us to see some amazing places. As with any uncovered vehicle, you will be subject to a wind-blasted face and the hair of the open road, but they provide helmets and goggles and it was no big deal... just something to be aware of. Once I was able to get in touch with them to book, Macie was very sweet and helpful! The only hiccup/confusion we had was that our tour was for 2PM but when the driver contacted us, he said to meet them for 1PM which slightly affected our lunch plans. I believe this was a communication error between the company and driver (Kelly), and not Kelly's fault. However, we were able to speed up our lunch and meet on time. Now, for the actual tour.. we had an AMAZING time and absolutely loved Kelly and our other 2 drivers. One of the girls in our group was skeptical of doing the sidecar but she/we all had SO MUCH FUN! Our driver was very informative and sociable. However, 1) We were taken completely by surprise that the wine tastings were not included in the already considerable price of the tour. Apparently it is written in the small print of the website and we had not noticed it. Very deceptive. 2) The starting and ending location was at the Robledo Family Winery, about 15 minutes outside Sonoma - not easy to get to without a car! 3) We enjoyed the tastings at Three Fat Guys but were not informed that the Robledo Winery closed at 5 pm until half an hour after we got there at 4 pm! As a result, we had very little time to enjoy the wines, plus 4) Our trip around the Sonoma countryside was cut extremely short - because we were not told about the time limitations. All things considered, we enjoyed what we did do but it was very expensive for what we got and the sidecar ride was far too short. He was fun, relaxed, knowledgeable about the area and customized our tour to include a distillery rather than a winery...just for something different!
