was in the store today, and I do liKe it and have shopped there for years, but, today, was truly treated like crap. One thing I was purchasing was marked half price and was told no, I couldn't have the discount. Just, strange. With Stag Provisions and Ralph Lauren on the same street, they should at least sell things to people. BTW: been shopping there since they opened in Dallas down the street on Knox. I've emailed the company five times for some simple garment measurements with no response. Four times I've emailed the link from their website; once I emailed the manager of the Washington D.C. store. No response from anyone. I was in this business many years ago as a buyer for 21 Ralph Lauren stores across the country. I am completely dumbfounded by the lack of customer service. read more

I purchased a suit here and it seems good--alterations were done well and included in the price of the suit. Fabric and construction seem like a slightly better value than more well established brands, but looking at historical prices I think the value proposition isn't quite as compelling as it used to be. The one sore point in my interaction with them is I came the Saturday (11/19) before the Black Friday sale started (11/23). They told me alterations would take until Dec. 10, which was far out enough that I figured I better buy the suit now... and then it turned out they were done on 11/23. I would've waited until Black Friday to buy just to see if there would be a sale if they didn't tell me alterations would take so long. So... its just a little suspicious that they told me the alterations would take nearly three weeks, and they ended up taking three days. I probably wouldn't have noticed at all, except that the suit was ready on the day the sale started. read more

Sid Mashburn - the store and the man himself - might be my favorite of all time. The staff here is always exceptionally friendly and helpful. You will be greeted with a smile, a beer/water/coke, and some wonderful conversation. The store feels like home and, as Sid says, a "third place". The idea of a third place is somewhere you feel comfortable and at ease besides your home and you work. They do a fantastic job upholding this atmosphere. As for their clothes, it doesn't get much better. Sid mixes classic menswear with modern tailoring to suit almost every man's needs - no pun intended. My favorite part about their store is that they will tailor any piece you buy in store to your specifications. This complimentary service makes Sid Mashburn my go-to clothier for suiting and trousers. This also makes the expert tailors at Sid my choice when I have other garments that need altering. The clothing in each of Sid's stores is beautiful and thoughtful. While some pieces can be expensive, they are meant to last and outlive trendiness. Don't overlook their classic garment dyed Levi's 501s that are a staple of each store. They can't be beaten for value. I didn't end up buying anything so I couldn't comment on the threads however, the service was just terrible. I walked down there in the heat looking for a tuxedo jacket not a soul on the sales floor. A crabby old woman was frowning from across the store said nothing. Two black jackets were hanging on the rack in the back. Finally an old bugger comes out of the back with his hands in his pockets and yelps "what are you doing". I said looking for a jacket, he says, "Well we don't have any". I said "well why not" ? He says, "because Sid doesn't do Tuxedos". I can't imagine that anybody would actually buy anything here but maybe they do. Bad impression read more

What a great store this is! Passed by many times while walking on Katy Trail and last night decided to check it out. Glad I did and lucky I didn't have my wallet in my pocket! This store has so many great men's apparel items. Many of them Mashburn exclusive design items and these were probably my favorite. They even dye white Levi jeans into their own custom colors which are spot on perfect looking jean colors. Their prices while not cheap seem reasonable and a good value for such unique classic well designed apparel items. They have a ping pong table avail for those that wish to play, play great music in the store all on vinyl. Plus they sell high end audio gear, mostly turntables and also a small select amount of vinyl LPs. (Random but cool!) Friendly guys working there very hospitable and knowledgeable. Cool store, good looking clothing. My son loves this store. I was excited when I received a gift card for a made to order shirt there for Christmas. I stopped by in early January to be fitted, all the measurements were taken. Around 5 weeks later the shirt arrived. It fit terribly, the staff thought they could fix it so I let them, it didn't work either. We started over- they took my measurements again and today I went to pickup the shirt and it was still very poorly fitting. Maybe it's just me, but I am not real pleased with the store. I did like the store enough that I bought my wife a made to order shirt that is supposed to be ready 4 weeks after it was ordered on 2-16-19. She called to check on it at about 3 1/2 weeks only to be told the fabric was out of stock and it was going to be delayed. No one from the store had bothered to call. I checked on it today while I was waiting for the credit for my shirt to be issued, and was told "It will be just a week or so more". Something is lacking on both sides of the store. read more

I really can't say enough great things about this place. Sid's philosophy is amazing to begin with and the guys in this shop do an outstanding job of executing the vision Sid talks about. Taking care of people. I've been taken care of by Jared, Wesley and Roger and these guys are amazing and they know menswear like the back of their hands. The store has everything you need to build an outstanding quality wardrobe, you really don't need to go anywhere else. The service provided here is definitely second to none and the quality and selection is top notch. What wonderful people! The day I visited, Mr. Mashburn himself was in the store and was such a delight to speak with. Everyone on staff is courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and truly understands the meaning of customer service. The products here are high quality at a fair price. I won't say cheap, because it's not. But the price is fair, because the goods are actually good. Highly recommended. I'm in NYC these days, which is their next shop opening from what they tell me, and can't wait till I can visit locally. I don't have much from here yet, but I'm hoping to be able to buy more soon. (And trust me when I say the customer service is real here no matter who you are -- I'm mid20s, was dressed relatively inexpensively - including some one-size-big Gap jeans, and hadn't had my haircut in months, and yet Sid himself gave me at least ten minutes of his time.) read more

I recently wrote a review on Google and will share that information here as well. I have known about Sid Mashburn in Atlanta for years and when he opened up a location in Houston I was truly jealous. When I saw the surprise announcement on Instagram I packed up the family and drove over to take a look. I find Sid's story as a designer for Ralph Lauren, J Crew and other American staple brands to be inspirational and his eye for well tailored, fun and timeless menswear is evident in the product mix. Anytime you have Levi's hanging next to a beautifully tailored garment you are winning in my book. Well done Sid and Ann! read more
